Lara does speak a few words of Russian, but not that much. If I recall correctly, she learned singing this song phonetically. So she knows how to pronounce the words, but sometimes has no idea what they mean. 😂 Obviously Igor must have translated for Lara so she does know what the song is about I would assume.
I wouldn't expect anything less from a singer of such high level as Lara to at least know the meaning of every word she sings. I also don't think she can speak or understand Russian, but then being able to sing words so understandable is no less impressive to me. So much respect.

Lara does speak a few words of Russian, but not that much. If I recall correctly, she learned singing this song phonetically.
