your videos are incredble.... just moved to idaho from the east, heading into the cabinets for the first time in a couple weeks... thanks for the inspiration
The bear encounter went as well as you could hope for. By the time I got up there, the bear and cubs were already in the tree. I shot a little video and then we all went on our way. Thanks for watching!
Another great campout! That place is very beautiful. I have to agree about going down also being tough. Up, down, they both tax the heck out of ya. I always find myself just wanting the flat trail more than both. Especially when you have the elevation gains and losses that you guys got served up on this one. Either way, thanks for posting this one right now when I look outside and we're covered in snow. I have spring fever already. Great show as usual! Triple thumbs up!!!
We're looking at snow now too. Don't let winter pass by though, get out in it! Winter in my opinion requires the right gear, and I know that you just got all of your setup last year. But the best way to deal with winter is to get out in it. We'll be starting our 2018 backpacking season in the winter.
I wanted to let you know that Joey sent me over. I really enjoy your videos. The scenery, music, dogs, & mellow mountain people are the perfect blend. It looks like some of you may be native Americans. If so, a little native American music would be cool too. Thanks for all the hard work.
Hey any ideas if you will be Joining us and KEN THE IDAHONAIN AT WANLESS FROM AUGUST 8-11TH? Would love to have ya there and do a celebratory shot of sailor Jerry with you guys.
Hey brother we are actually planning a Wanless lake loop hike this summer. We are planning on starting on Noxon side the going to wanless stay a night or 2 then shoot over lostbuck pass stay at Geiger and fish then out on the Geiger side. Would love to have you guys along. If you are interested.
Geiger Lakes is actually on my list this year. I know I want to get into the Cabinets this year and that will most likely be where I go. We wouldn't come in from the Wanless side since we've already done that, but we could meet up near Lost Buck Pass or Geiger Lakes or something. When are you thinking of going? June is out for me already and the other slots are filling up fast.
@@mountainwanderer will talk to Joe tomorrow. We are actually going to try to get into lower Geiger tomorrow and if no snow do upper lake and maybe take a look at lost buck pass. Do you have a Facebook I dont but will have my Fiance Cassie look you up and we can exchange numbers.
Dude seriously you are one of my inspiration s for even starting a channel so totally looking forward to meeting you and probably asking alot of questions. Probably to the point you are annoyed. LOL.
@@mountainwanderer we went into wanless last year and fell in love with the place. We actually watched your video before we went . That was one of your best videos in my opinion.
I love the Cabinet Mountains. Even the drive to get there down HWY 200 along the Clark fork River is spectacular!
The Cabinets are incredible. Very Scenic!
Mountain ⛰🌲 Wanderer, Iam glad I subscribe to your channel, y’all got some beautiful videos of Mother Nature 👍🏽✌🏽1 .
I'm glad to hear you're enjoying them! Hopefully we'll get some more put up soon.

Thank so much! I'm always working on new music. We'll see what we can do!
Cabinet mountains, the most beautiful range I think.
Bold statement! I like it! I'm certainly not going to disagree.

This might just work out. We're definitely backpacking that weekend and it's not 100% set, but we're talking about going to the Cabinets.
What a beautiful lake! Where you able to catch any fish?
I didn’t fish at all so I can’t say.
Gorgeous country.
I'm curious...are there griz in that area?
There are Griz in the Cabinets. I haven't seen one yet. Only Black Bears so far.

Also, if you're going into Wanless, I would suggest staying a night at Upper Lake. I actually liked that campsite more than the one at Wanless.

How did your buddy do fly fishing?
To be honest, I don't remember him even trying. I have to say, nice profile pic, I've seen one like that somewhere. :)
Your fitness is top drawer! Thanks for link today to caltopo.com. Not sure how that site works as i am computer illiterate.
I wish I felt like I was in shape... You've made it to you tube so you're getting there!
