No doubt, but what helped MJ become the Goat, was the fact, that as he got older, he was able to still elevate his game play. Even when he could no longer just fly by the defense and throw it down, he used other methods to flat out embarrass his opponents, not to mention that he played solid defense ✌🏾

Watching this game also shows why Jordan didn't win a championship until I believe his 8th year, he didn't have enough help on the Bulls, watching him play with the Olympic team makes it very clear to me, that if the Bulls had been able to surround Jordan with a great supporting cast like he had on the Olympic team (which was more like the 91 Bulls team) he would have run out of fingers to put rings on. Shut the fuck up. Players dont choose what team drafts them. Jordan, just like Russell, Bird, Magic, Duncan, Kobe and Steph, were gifted teammates and coaches that fit their respective styles when they were on top, but that doesn't make Kareem or Lebron, who elevated below average teams for half of each's career, any less in contention as the greatest.

His post up game is the same he can turn to his left and right and shoot his perfect fade away .. to top it off he plays every game like it’s game 7 finals … put all that together with 48” vertical… and you get the GOAT in basketball

This game also showed the brilliance of Bob Knight as a coach, recognizing his players' talents. He sometimes played MJ at forward, instead of guard,, due to his versatility as a basketball player. Even Doug Collins recognized that versatility later as a Bulls' coach, sometines playing MJ at the point, instead of shooting guard. MJ would average a triple double p/game during that short time.
