Sunday, July 23, 2023 was an iconic day of photography. The first half of the day was spent traversing Lexington Avenue in Manhattan. However, the day didn't end in East Harlem. Instead, I crossed the Third Avenue Bridge into The Bronx. From there, I followed Third Avenue northwards to its end in Fordham Manor, before turning south through Fordham Heights. The day ended with an iconic view of the Manhattan Skyline from Whitestone Bridge, leaving the neighborhood of Throggs Neck.

most of that is not what we called SOUTH BRONX in the day. The SOUTH BRONX begins on about 134 st. I didn't see much around the 130's and 140's

The video begins with a photo of the Third Avenue Bridge and proceeds northward along 3rd Ave, all the way through the South Bronx, from E 134th St up to its terminus at E Fordham Rd and Fordham Plaza, before turning west, then south on Valentine Ave. If you look at the captions on the lower right of each image, you will see the progression of cross streets along 3rd Ave, beginning at Bruckner Blvd. You can also use this link to see every photo I took that day, tagged by GPS, on a map: cityneighborhoodsnyc.smugmug.com/Individual-Photo-Shoots/2023/The-Bronx-July-23-2023
