    I met Cecile Richards in a crowd outside the capitol building in Austin, TX. I was there to attend the protest the HB2 bill and I'll never forget turning to the woman who was trying the door behind me to tell her, "They locked the front door, looks like we have to try the side." She said, "We'll climb the walls if we have to." With such conviction it shook me! I didn't even know who she was until after the event.
    People follow that kind of leader into battle and I'm glad she's set her sights on protecting women's healthcare

    I remember when my friend and I were 16, we went to PP to get on birth control for the first time ❤ it was so easy. We didn’t need parental consent or anything. It was probably the reason I didn’t never got pregnant thus never needing an abortion.

No judgement time. Just explain a gynecologist visit on the way. And be grateful that they learned something from me. They didn't stay with guys who mistreated them. I wish I hadn't. Ah! So great to see Ann Richards! I took a bunch of children to see Babe at the dollar movie theater on a rainy winter day. The only others there were Ann Richards and about a dozen little kids. In response to those who believe early embryos are life & early abortion is murder.
    We have a constitutional right to separation of church & state. Many don't agree with your religious beliefs. Whether an unformed embryo without a developed higher brain has a soul & is therefore life is a religious not legal question. Therefore I believe abortion bans at embryonic stage are unconstitutional. No one is forcing you to have a 1st trimester abortion. You should respect others' religious beliefs, if you want to live in USA, but you don't, so please leave the USA if you want your government to be a theocracy. If you don't support constitutional rights you are not a patriot.

    • @ezekielrayfield1512
      @ezekielrayfield1512 ปีที่แล้ว

      my god so much wrong with this
      1.Embryos are life and early abortion is murder as it is a human and follow all the criteria's for being a life "the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death." the embryo clearly check the mark for all of those things as assuming it isn't murder by the "doctor" it will grow and have the capacity of all the things above
      2.no we don't tell me where the separation of church and state is in the constitution. What your probably referring to is a private letter between Thomas Jefferson towards one of his friends about the state not interfering with the affairs of the church.
      3. What are you talking about if I believe it is a life(which is based on point # 1) than it is a legal issue as if the embryo is in fact a life than it has the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness something that is actually in the constitution.
      4.That not the problem pro lifers issue isn't that were afraid that we are going to be forced to have abortions but the fact that the baby that are aborted(murdered) are in fact life and have a right to life.
      5.I don't know how you gone from banning abortion to the U.S turning into a theocracy but there are plenty of nation who aren't theocracy that banned abortion. Many Europeans countries banned abortion for for their entire history until like the 1960s at the latest were they all theocracy until than.

    • @DTreatz
      @DTreatz ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Even if you weren't religious, the line between what is and isn't "life" is arbitrarily assigned.
      Abortion only facilitates irresponsible sex, that verifiable, and promiscuous sex is bad for women and society as a whole. Governments have to have a vested interest in heterosexual sexual economics because it's directly tied to individuals and families that society is built on, whether people like it or not, you can't separate the two.
      Abortion, birth control and no-fault divorces were all terrible ideas that need to be reversed, otherwise you, your family and your progeny won't have a stable and thriving society for much longer. You can already feel that with the heightened sense of war and inflation, it's only going to get worse.
      But keep pushing I guess, and enjoy the decline 🤡🌍

    Bodily autonomy is not only a human right but also covered by the Constitution .
    - Bodily autonomy means that no one , including a fetus , has the right to touch , take or use your blood , organs or body without your permission .
    Even if your BORN child needs a blood or organ donation and you are the only match on earth you still can not be forced to donate .
    Even once you are dead no one can touch , take or use your blood , organs or body without your consent .
    It is absolutely sickening that some people think that pregnant girls/women should have less rights and say over their blood , organs and body than a damn corpse has .
    I dont understand how a fetus is given rights that no one else has , including born children .
    Anyone who thinks that girls/women lose their bodily autonomy when they become pregnant needs to have their bodily autonomy taken away , they need to be forced to donate as much blood as possible every month , they need to be forced to donate a kidney , they need to be forced to donate a piece of liver , they need to be forced to donate a piece of lung , they need to be forced to donate a piece of intestine , the need to be forced to donate spinal fluid , all at their own expense of course . Just think of how many lives would be saved , after all , they claim it is about saving lives and that every life matters .

      I am not religious, I just believe life is sacred, i think if its at a health risk to the mother or if the child is a r*pe baby, then absolutely. abort it. but if someone is knocked up due to their own ignorance, I simply believe its their mistake, its their responsibility.
      to understand my perspective, I was previously a pro choice advocate, and while talking with a pro life friend (yes, i look past politics in my friends), the topic of pro life v pro choice came up, he explained his point of view and i explained mine, I informed him about various statistics of crime in unwanted children.
      I had asked them to imagine if they were born in a poor family who couldnt afford to have an abortion. I imagined them to put themselves into the shoes of an unwanted child and I asked whether he would want to live that.
      He responded: "It's clearly not ideal but atleast im alive-"
      Changed my mind completely. While I dont believe the mothers life should be put into danger, I dont believe that a future person's life could be ended before it began due to the mistake of an irresponsible couple who got knocked up due to their own irresponsibility.
      If you want to change my mind, be my guest. However changing someones mind relies on being opened minded yourself and hearing the others point of view. (Be respectful and dont immediately result to personal attacks, as it just furthers radical views, on both sides)

      Your mom was right, females presence devalued labor force, game employers more power, increased debt (women account for 2/3 of student loan debt) prolonged births post-education (which increased rates of congenital problems and lowered birth rates), birth control and abortion facilitated promiscuity which ruined women and disavowed 80% of men from participating in relationships and no fault divorce + gynocentric welfare state encouraged and incentivized females to break up the nuclear family, thus increasing single mother homes (the worst homes for children)
      You mother was right, females now _HAVE_ to work because their choices in entering the workforce and education, and because of the way females mate, they only chase the 20% of men, so the 80% of men have no chance, so they don't have a purpose which is why men are becoming NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) and they're not participating in relationships cause there's no point.
      I can wholeheartedly assure you, female liberation has been a net negative, no contest.

      "unborn child" is an oxymorn. A child is born by definition.
      You're entitled to moral consideration when you're a person. A fetus isn't a person.
      A fetus won't develop a nervous system required for sentience, intelligence, or self-awareness - the bare minimum attributes to meet personhood status - until 28 weeks, and even then it's questionable whether it's a person.
      But at that point the parent will have made a decision on whether they want to give birth or not, so the argument is moot.

    Define a woman 😂

    • @kahner93
      @kahner93 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A woman is a type of gender identity that varies from society to society, culture to culture. There is no one attribute that encapsulates all women other than self identification.

    • @777Skeptic
      @777Skeptic ปีที่แล้ว

      Can you define woman though?
      What if someone has XXY chromosomes, or are missing a Y chromosome and only have X?
      What if they have a Y chromosome but not every gene gets activated so not every male/female feature is expressed?
      What if certain genes stop functioning during adulthood and start exhibiting sex characteristics of another sex?
      What about men that have brains that more structurally resemble women's?
      What if the person has huge deviations of estrogen or testosterone hormones?
      What about Emily Quinn? She has testicles where her ovaries should be.
      Or do you think what little you learned (slept though) in high school is all there is to know?
      Lots of variables, but try giving a simple answer to a complicated question biologists can't fully agree on, under oath, in less than 10 seconds, and you'll realize how loaded the question is.

      That’s a lie, look up Florida, Texas any other conservative state pretty much has restricted access to abortions within their states. This effects women living in poverty, women living with abusers, women who have no choice now because men have more of a voice in our reproductive rights than women right now.
