I am struggling A LOT on trying to become what I am not and by pure “coincidence” (there are no coincidences with God), I received an e-mail that said:
“Why can’t I kick this sin?”
“Why can’t I stay consistent in my prayer?”
“Why can’t I feel God’s presence?”
“Why can’t I change?”
along with this video was attached. I needed this right now.

Yikes. Real me - attention seeking, approval seeking, very superficial, doubtful, mean thoughts, easily envious, obsessed with celebrities, sex, and physical beauty, fear of being hated, fear of being criticized, fear of the truth, competitive, etc
When we let ourselves be fully loved by God, our fears and wounds, little by little start to heal and leave us free.. God bless you!
Wow, time and time again I receive a message I really need. I struggle so much with the idea of earning worthiness and love. I definitely learned that performance is required to be worthy and deserving, and its hard to unlearn. But man, this really got me. Time to meet Him in the valley as I am.

@@Call_Upon_YAH You wouldn't have the Word of God in the form of the Bible if it were not for the councils of the Catholic Church. Look up the article by Jimmy Akin called "Books that almost made it into the Bible." It didn't just fall from the sky. It was a long process. Tradition came first and is just as sacred as Scripture.
Stop telling Catholics what Catholics do. We DO NOT worship Mary.
No Catholic will take you seriously if all you quote is the KJV. King James had no more authority to authorize a version of the Bible than the current "president" of the USA would.

I even thought to myself, "this priest must recognize me not by my looks, but by my sins." After watching this video, I look at my shortcomings in a different light. You made my evening. Great insights. God's love is unconditional. I led a life of promiscuity, and God intervened through our Blessed Mother to transform my life 16 years ago in Medjugorje to save my marriage. I had a hardened heart, so it took a lot to get me to the conversion point. My heart is still on fire since that conversion. At the Apparition Hill, my nine-year-old son received the vision of Jesus on the Golden Cross, bleeding from head to toe, looking at him with a smile while Mary stepped on the serpent. I know now that the Blessed Mother released me from the bondage of sexual sins that would be impossible to do on my own. I can now relate to St. Mary Magdalene, who was freed from the seven demons. Praise God and the Mother of God forever.
He wants to meet us where we are through all of time and outside of time. Wonderful message that even in the depths of desolation, especially there, he's with us despite our blindness and deafness to him.
Timely for me. Blessed Mother pray for us.

If one thing I am learning about my struggles of sin and addiction is. "Let go... and let God " Surrendering to him is the key. I can't. But HE can. NOTHING is impossible for our loving Father.

Wow! I'm sobbing! You see, I just sent an email last night to my priest discussing this very thing.
I told him that I had struggled to see that God loves me specifically, that his sacrifice was for me directly. For so long I believed that this amazing thing He did for our salvation, was just that, for the whole of humanity. There was no way anyone, even Him, could love such a broken and pathetic creature enough to give their life for me specifically. Yet, something my priest said to me Saturday healed a broken piece in me and I could finally see it, and it changed my gratitude and worship completely.
I still needed to hear this part, so the email sharing this video came at exactly the right moment! Thank you, Jesus!! 🙏🥰

Thank you for this powerful message! I know I am not perfect, but I know God loves me even with my imperfections. I believe I am too hard on myself, and sometimes question if I deserve His love or for him to even hear my prayers, yet this message has even opened up my relationship with God!

Thank you. Thank God, because I perceive Him speaking directly to me through this video. I didn’t realise just how much I’ve been trying to scale the mountain of sanctity on my own, by my own strength. I’ve been overwhelmed and have exhausted myself with worry about “how far I still have to go”, trying so hard to perform for God and still feeling the weight on my unworthiness. This video moved me so much, I feel God has been trying to bring this message to me for a while. He has been calling me to just rest in Him, to accept His love for me and I didn’t realise how much I have been resisting. I’m so grateful 🙏🏾

So what does this mean in the actual practice of our faith? You keep saying, "stop trying to climb the mountain and meet God in the valley of humility" but does this mean that I stop using my will to overcome the weakness or the sin and just pray for the grace? Just accept that this is the way I'm going to be for now until God gives me the grace eventually? What does this abstract, poetic advice mean in the actual practice of daily life with the Lord? I don't understand.

I'm a complete failure in all aspects of my life. Harder I try the more of a disappointment I become.

God is right there with you, right now.
Call Him.
If God, who is infinite greater than I, died on the cross to save me and I can't give up my old ways, this means I do not apprecite the gift, His sacrifice. In other words I do not love God. He is an abstraction to me. I go to confession for the same reson I love myself.
That what you should tell people.
Any time someone confidently tells you what god thinks or what god wants, be very very suspicious.

What does this mean? To meet God "in the valley"? What is the practical, real meaning in a day to day life? I don't understand
"pratical meaning and real meaning" are the mountain you may or may not be trying to climb alone, abandon presumption of praticality, its probably forged without God and therefore probably has holes in it, meet God without any self made ideas and then listen in faith and let yourself be driven. you cannot drive yourself and if you keep trying you wont let God drive you either.
