I just got admonished by a, “friend “, the other evening about everything I need to clear out and clean up since my husband passed 2 years ago. I live out in the woods all alone and love it. My husband built our home and his life is still here and I still speak with him everyday. I love the messes! Your greeting the elements each morning is going to become a part of my day. Thank you for being you and sharing.

You must have the patience of a saint 😂 I’d have told them to sod off and not come round again if they’re that bothered by it! It’s 5 years today since my dad passed and I’m still working my way through all of his stuff, he kept his nan and grandads stuff, his great aunts and his mom and dads stuff and his own so we are absolutely swamped with stuff! But your house sounds idyllic! A house in the woods that your beloved built himself! Wow! That sounds like heaven! No wonder you want to keep it how it was and no one has the right to tell you that’s wrong 😭💔 ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I'm Sooo glad to have found you and your "mess" ! I've struggled with this, because I've read in many places that we have to keep our space and lives clean and tidy to keep the negative energy away. Well, my knees are bone on bone and I'm waiting for replacement surgery on both. I can barely stand to perform spells or make oils, etc. So I have been extremely sensitive to my mess and what or if the negative energy is affecting me. You have helped me realize that it just doesn't fucking matter!! What a freeing revelation! Blessed be 🤗. I am now a new subscriber and will look for your playlist. ❤

I’m so glad you talked about this. Creating space for more acceptance of what is and to BE. Nature is not organized and neat yet she is so beautiful and powerful. She is. And so are we. We are her and she is us. Humanity has only constructed separation. I let the weeds grow in my garden too. It encourages the balance of life and protects my garden plants from imbalances and pests. I’ve let my trees go without trimming. I’m letting the land rest and be since I have arrived. It’s been pinched, poked and proded too long. No one enjoys a relationship like that. So huzzah! More power to you 🥰

I completely agree with you - I've never been a 'type a' overly neat person - honestly when things are too organized and 'neat' I don't feel comfortable and I feel 'trapped' somewhat!! When you showed your farm I was like - it's beautiful and natural and I didn't see any o fhte 'mess' you mentioned that others might see - def nature has no straight lines - love that! To add to that - I tend to like more 'raw' Youttube vids versus the overdone / polished ones - b'c the raw ones tend to be more effective and real in my opinion:) All that's to say - thank you for pointing this 'my mess isn't a mess' idea - agree 100%!!!

You have given me HOPE!!!! Oh Hexa, I am mess, and I have constantly fought it my entire life. Growing up with abuse, trauma & having to take of me from a very young age (as well as siblings & cousins), I HAD to be 'perfect': organized, in control of things to keep myself safe, etc., etc... I am so TIRED. I want to be myself, be me. I'm 53 & I'm trying to still figure out who I am. The only time I have felt even remotely myself is when I embrace my magickal me. Even if it is just the tiniest action, I feel more me than I ever have. You put things into words & expression that I have always felt but couldn't express myself. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I have a new appreciation for my craft now that I have a better understanding of it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️Thank you, thank you 🙏🏻 I love the pristine, perfect videos of other Witchy folk, but oh my goodness - I’m so excited when you release a video. A Druid and messy Witch here, I just needed this reminder. My office, art room and many a cupboard look just like this. My tree’s and herb’s are running wild and unkempt in my garden… Absolutely, nature is not orderly - She is fabulous and like me cannot work in ordered straight lines. I have also started to greet the Earth beneath, the Sky above and the Waters around my shores as part of my morning practice.
I’d love to know how you and others choose/discover your Goddess, whether you find her by researching or if it’s more of a spiritual calling of her reaching out to you at this time or both? Blessings 💚

✨✨✨I love your farm! I just left my messy farm. Felt like I couldn’t keep up with it. No longer had the strength to clear out the brambles and bittersweet that insisted they be a part of the land. The new family who bought it is clearing out everything. Gone are a lot of my beloved plant allies. Yes, it will look less messy but I liked my mess much better. Our home was nestled more cozily into the woods. The house now seems so exposed. But it’s their house now and so be it. I felt like the land gave me permission to leave and I asked it to bring the right new owners - ones who would love it like I did - so I need to leave it at that.
As I was packing up to leave (a long process of clearing myself in many ways), I realized that the lesson for me that I had missed was that I had been fighting nature rather than fully embracing it. And perhaps my biggest problem was that I was wanting to control too many of the spaces. Living there showed me the power of nature and the natural world. That things grow where they want to grow and some plants are more insistent than others and the landscape is ever-changing as some plants move in and others move out. It is all so glorious and I miss the connection and privacy I had there, but I am blooming where I am planted and figuring out things in this new more-ordered, but still-to-be “messed” with space. This winter I will plan a tiny garden space full of deer-resistant herbal and native plants and hopefully one special fruiting tree. Meanwhile, I am finding plant allies in the spaces around me. I will be a forager now. A much better fit for who I am.
Thanks for putting out these videos. So much of this one resonated, from the grass in my old gardens to the wanting to have things perfect in my books (I don’t do tons of spells but I am creating rituals and have a bunch of herbal recipes) to healing a chicken whose back was torn open (pre discovering magic but post becoming an herbalist and raw honey was involved in her treatments).

I love that you have a new space to be "messed" with! I feel that someday I will be in the same position of leaving this place 😢
Until then, I look forward to the adventure of my mess.
PS I have beea and thought about honey, but was worried about ants! It's been terrible this year...

🌟🌠✴️ I love this! I can totally relate to the messiness. As an artist/crafty person, I accept the fact that we can never be tidy minimalists. 😆 I love your morning breath ritual for the elements and actually took a deep breath upon seeing the picture of the Sun and then the pink rose. 🌸 I love animals and have a few Oracle Card decks that feature animals. I connect to Spirit Animals in that way, but I would like to try guided meditations, as well as studying them in life and through books. I used to feel closer to animals when we had several pets. I hope to reconnect with animals in a tangible way again. ❤🩷🤍

Take a moment to imagine the fur of a past pet in your hands. The way it feels when you run you fingers down their backs.
      May that stir your connection.
I connect with birds a lot. The good news is they keep themselves and you can find them year round!

As I age, I get neater and more organized. I can’t stand having everything in my face and reminding me to take care of it. I clean as I go and put things away before I go to bed and do a quick vacuum. Everything is much easier for me to keep up when I don’t let things get out of control. Everything has its place and if it doesn’t have a place, it goes into storage or to a thrift store or sold. I have multiple white boards and write everything down and the 2 minute chores get done now that I would quickly forget about before. I have anxiety and having clutter and unfinished projects stresses me out so keeping things under control is so wonderful and relaxing and I have more time to relax. Your branches on the ground can be dealt with easily by taking a wheelbarrow with you while pruning and wheeling it away and not leaving a pile behind. It is really about taking care of yourself when you keep things up because it is so easy for everything to get totally out of control and overwhelming.

⭐️🌟🌠 I love the spaciousness and wildness of your trees and farm, and the dense clusters of flowers, even the half-mown lawn. The arch was magical, an invitation to the liminal. All of it is organically beautiful.
Your home and your magic space illustrates an active witch and TH-cam creator. I follow another witch who demonstrated a few candle spells. There was spilled wax on the altar cloth, shavings where she carved the candle, oil all over hands and herbs all over the altar cloth. The altar was arranged intuitively, not perfectly. She reminded her viewers that real magic is messy and TH-cam magic is staged to be asthetically pleasing.
I've worked with a particular deity and a small number of spirit animals. I've had sightings of some of the animals in the wild, but I am in one of those "dark night of the soul" periods and there hasn't been any connection. This too shall pass.

Magick meeting social media meeting self development meeting lifestyle (meeting 90's tv witches) indeed created a huge association between things that can co exist and be linked together but its not an absolute way. I always think of people in that past that just used spoken charms, maybe some little bags or poppets for their craft while hugely praying Jesus, Mary and the Saints for good harvest and health etc. We tend to think magick should be impressive/aesthetic/ceremonial like.... But folk magick history kinda highly how the extraordinary wasnt so detached from the ordinary.

    • @naturalwitchery
      @naturalwitchery  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Yes! Real folk magic is born out of necessity and relationship with the land.

It’s probably my ADHD that contributes to my messiness. However, I get on these cleaning binges…I recently stayed up all night cleaning and rearranging. It made my head feel better. Although, it is exhausting at nearly 52. I am happy with the rearrangement and the sweeping/vacuuming. It gets the Chi flowing in a way where I can breath a little deeper. All the rest…well, I try to remind myself to fill in the cracks (my imperfections) with gold - like a beautiful Ming vase that was broken and restored with gold. Idk, the image works for me. Not being so hard on myself to conform to societal norms has always been a challenge in my head. I just learned they now call ADHD people Neuro-divergent! What does that even mean?? lol. 😂 Whatever it means, I know that I am beautiful and brilliant, creative, and can solve just about any puzzle/problem when I hyper-focus. Se la vi. F the norm. I like me 🫶🏼
