I started throwing the club from the top (ever so slightly) and watched in disbelief as my 8-iron went from 150 out to 175 yards. It’s a very very subtle move like just barely starting a downhill putt and letting gravity take over. My trail hand wrist barely moves. Truly a spiritual moment with tears of joy and worth the years of pursuit…
Chuck is the best golf teacher anywhere. I went from swinging my driver 90 to 95 mph to 115 to 120 mph using the goat code videos. This is the easiest way to learn how to swing a club.
Im a 8 HCP, just tried this and im carrying my nike vr pro BLADE 8 iron 175 yards. Usually around 150-160. And control is really good, still dailing it in. Its the first session with it. But im blown away. Never had something work like this before. But be careful! I played simulator for 3 hours straight (like a machine, ball after ball, after ball...) and my right hand is completely dead, I have 3 blisters on it now. I have never had blister or pain on the right hand before... I've had it on my left. But now im using the right correctly. Just like tiger, he has tape on the two middle fingers always since he is using them aggressively. (I might be gripping it too tightly and hitting to many balls to fast, but it was to get the right feel in) Thanks for this, super excited to continue with this. Will just have to wait around 1 weeks for the blisters to go away. Then back to GOAT CODE ;)
@@Rotaryswing Any good tips/video on how to shorten your backswing? Other than just drilling and stopping earlier. I've had a pretty long back swing, even before this right hand throw and it is still there. I have flying elbow but it feels really powerful. But Im almost at john daly / fred couples level. It feels natrual, do you think I should keep it or try to shorten it a bit?
Years ago I came across a book entitled the LAWS of the Golf Swing. Build a swing based upon one’s body type (Ectomorph, Mesomorph, and Endomorph). They suggested that most people were hybrids and then recommended a series adjustments that would need to be made to build the idea swing. They warned of building a “Monster” swing that would happen if one mixed fundamentals that were not compatible as you explain here.
I am really happy to see a professional coach clearly outline the different swing styles and why not all golf teaching applies to all golfers. However "+handicap golf" or better is a big promise to live up to😂
Everything feels awkward when you first start doing it no matter if it's golf or anything else. That's why I've made it as simple as possible with the drills to give you the right FEELING which then puts everything in the right positions.
Chuck, this whole series is well done. I need some more help understanding right side throw vs. the old left side swing. I was a member of RST and even took the C4 class. But I could never "get it" with the left side swing; so I even left several paid-for lessons on the table (operator error not instruction error). When you started a small intro of a more right side swing (before Goat stuff); I asked question about where more info was located. I never could get much help on it - just kept telling me to work on training left side; so I gave up. Thus, I am very interested in this more right side swing. But I do not understand how & what of the old left side swing is relevant. Please explain similarities and differences between the 2 swings & what of the left side swing should I still focus on. Many thanks.
There's a lot more than just the method that comes with it. There's also the community where members post their swings, get reviews, we go over training aids that can help and ones that are pointless, contests, short game and more. There's members that have been part of the community for 10 years or more.
After discovering you and the way you teach has changed my swing the most of any instruction. I can’t even click on any other instruction video in my TH-cam algorithm cause I now tell my self there’s no way they can explain the swing and mechanics the way you do haha
No one of course but us amateurs can tunnel vision on one feel and could possibly lose technical movements while incorporating new ones. Just a general tip for the public. Love the stuff as always!!
@@blackie1122 I hear you but that's the whole point of the drill and the system. If you're doing it right, the rest of the "technical movements" fall into place naturally. It's why I truly believe it is hands down the best way to learn to swing the club.
You have to get the hands low coming into impact. That's what the throw accomplishes. It starts to straighten out you back arm so it's not bent too much at impact. If you don't throw and are bent you will need a decent amount of side bend to get to the ball. Throwing is far easier for most.

Appreciate that! Awesome results!!!

Not to get all mind psychology or anything, but if you can learn to hit the ball correctly, getting there is truly about believing you can!
Literally figured this out at thr range yesterday just been trying things feels like im barely throwing it right before impact and woosh
Very smart way to talk about the swing! Only thing I see is you have to clear hips to throw club.
@@KevinMDowney as I said in your last post, if you know how to throw correctly, your hips have no choice but to clear

It's all covered in depth on the site, there are dozens of videos on teh GOAT Code now
Nice view from your home !
I wish you sold the GOAT CODE series as a one time payment. I don't like subscription based services. If you do or will, I'd love to hear about it.

Another banger video
Thanks!
Hey Chuck - as a member, where would I find the full video in the site. Sorry I must be blind, but I tried looking everywhere
Look under The Goat Code in the members area and it's the second to last video in the section titled "Throw The Clubhead Drill"

Even though it can be a throw, shaft lean at impact is also important. Don't let the 'throw' eliminate shaft lean.
Who said to not have it?

Chuck please do a video for the left handed person who plays golf right handed
You’re probably best off learning a lead side pattern which is the bulk of the videos on the site
