    Which v-mount battery plate are you using for the Komodo?

    Would be interested to know if you all still use these, if they've held up, or if you've upgraded?

    Where do the receivers sit on a Sunday morning to pick up everyone in the room?

    8:00 When you're talking about cheaper models compressing the video, are you referring to the LT? Have you done a comparison between the two?

    • @JesseMaitland
      @JesseMaitland 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was specifically talking about cheaper wireless products. They achieve transmission reliability by sacrificing picture quality and often with more latency.

    Had the same issues with them here in our theatre. If the Wi-Fi APs are set to Auto channel, often they will hop around channels onto or near to the channels that the teradek units are using and make the link drop. Locking the APs into a channel is key, same as you do with wireless mics.

      exactly. I did a scan, picked my channels, and notified my IT department about what channels id be using.

      IT guys dont like to accomdate video dudes... and some APs dont really let you choose or isolate channels. I guess? But, these have been quite powerful, enough to knock out the APs sometimes haha.

      @@JesseMaitland Oh exactly, and I am blessed enough to have access to the access point controller from the Bio box, so can just do the change on my own but in bigger venues, good luck with that. Also having loads of APs serving one space is terrible for us because every AP will eat up spectrum that we now can't use. There is new 6Ghz spectrum that has just opened up with the FCC and new APs are using that so keep an eye out.

    Anybody know what side grip that is?

  • @mikehines14

    Have you found that you have to turn off your 5ghz wifi to get these to be reliable?

    • @BethelProduction
      @BethelProduction  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A proper wireless frequency scan works great. the problem with ALL wireless is always the shared 5GHz. Ive found staying at the Top and Bottom of the band works best. I also typically use them in 20mhz mode and have much more reliable use.

      Channel allocation makes it a dream.

      @@BethelProduction When you say proper wireless frequency scan, are you referring to the app that you talked about, or something different?
