  • Bangda kalvan/ spicy mackerel curry /Authentic Maharashtrian mackerel curry made in homemade ground masala. Easy to make recipe is serve with rice or roti.
    Ingredient-
    Mackerel fish- 2
    For masala-
    1 sp- dry roasted ground coconut
    Green chillis- 4
    7 garlic cloves
    ½ inch ginger
    Corinder
    3 to 4 trifala
    1 .5 tsp aagri red masala powder
    1 tsp turmeric powder
    Tamarind pulp- 2 sp
    Salt
    Oil
    Method-
    Marinate fish with turmeric ,red chilli .
    grind,coconut,chillis,cloves,ginger,coriender by adding some water and make green masala
    heat oil,add triphala and green masala. cook green masala for 3 to 4 mins. add ½ tsp turmeric and ½ tsp red chilli powder add marinated fish. Mix. Add hot water and salt. Cover with lid and cook for 5 mins. add tamarind pulp.cook for more 2 mins. serve hot with rice or roti.
