    Great video. Just used it to take mine out so I could put in a new one. Just be aware the wiring harness on the models are not the same on different years. But the basics of the wood trim and removal of air vents and climate controls to access the necessary bolts was very helpful.

    Thank you great video I was wondering how hard it was going to be to get the stereo out I've done several other installs but this Cadillac look like it was going to be tricky thank you for saving me hundreds of dollars and going to the shop giving me the knowledge I needed to tackle this on my own thank you very much great video..

    Did mine yesterday and added a plug and play harness to hook a sub and amp up to the stock system. Sounds great, Thanks for the vid.

      @Antonio lac I did not

    • @chicago1680
      @chicago1680 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Antonio lac Yup. Had a few batteries in and out of that car. It has a drain in it but I think I may have finally fixed it. All you are doing is just adding a plug and play kit. I may still have it if you want it just pay shipping. I installed a Double din so I have no use for it but need to find it

      @Antonio lac I'm in my 40s too. It's pretty much plug and play so you should be fine. The hardest part is taking the fake wood trim off just pry it off slowly in different places. Then bam a few bolts and you are good to go. Cool you have one already hope all goes well.

      +Bigluxurycar 69 Modules to make everything work right. A headunit worth putting in. Also, one needs to know what they are doing with the wiring. If you don't intend on using the factory amp, you need speakers as well. Or you would need an amp with the same output as the factory one and crossovers to send frequencies to the right speakers. The factory speakers in these cars can easily be chewed up by improper installation of an aftermarket amp.

    If I were to replace my basic stereo with the 6" nav option, would the harness/plugs be there?

    • @caddyguy5369
      @caddyguy5369 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not 100 percent, but I highly doubt it. When they build cars they use harnesses for the specific options a vehicle has to keep the Bill Of Materials cost down.

    The factory navigation head unit in these cars is a complete POS.

      Pretty much all factory in-dash NAV is garbage. Total rip off, better to save money with the basic setup and then replace with a far superior aftermarket unit.
