This all took place at the end of this years Annual West Caost Ragtime Festival held in Sacramento, California every November.

Just when you think that humanity is headed for the dumpster along come someone like Tom Brier and you realize there is hope, after all. "Gorgeous" - that's minimally the case.

If any moment in music can be captured for eternity make it be this magnificent waltz which, amazingly, was as extemporaneous as was wonderful!

I haven't run across it yet, but I suspect it may be on a tape just prior to the one this tune was on. I'll know in a day or two and try to remember to clue you in. There was certainly some hot fun stuff going on and I hated to go to bed, but I was worn to a nub!

Hey, is Tom going to the festival this year? If so, I'd love to watch him play. The Red Lion Inn is off Arden Way in Sacramento. I've been there many times.
