As a woman, I appreciate understanding the heart of Black men. It’s imperative to listen from another perspective. This space gives women like myself a better understanding how to love and support our men no matter of the title.
    💜🙌🏾

    God bless Black men heal
We have to heal and be patient with each other. Our journey isn't just ours. It is our ancestors, spoken and unspoken.

Just discovered you guys, and I'm sharing with as many men as possible. There is some unwritten rule about what to share on FB and others. But when HE tells me to do so, I obey. You are one of the most profound, insightful, and you are providing crucial wisdom. You are saving the lives of our Black men. We need them whole!

Great convo & this was much needed . We can’t HEAL what we don’t REVEAL. As a Childhood Sexual abuse/Physical abuse survivor… Even at 34 the 10-11 yr old inner child is crying out rn. I was contemplating Suicide the other night an I’m so glad I saw this .

The only thing you CAN control is, yourself, not people, places or things.

Phenomenal discussion, gents. The perspective of healing not being contingent upon someone changing is masterful. Keep shinning.

How long should someone be in therapy? Should it be for life? Should patients continue to re-traumatize with each new therapist? How do people recognize when they no longer need therapy or therapist is not working for them?

For the guy who said he doesn't know who his father is, take the AncestryDNA test. My family members popped up once I got my DNA results so you can pretty much match and figure out the people on your father's side.

Only 4% of therapists are black and a good majority of them went to white
institutions where anti black racism is rampant and taught from a European perspective. Brothers have to be taught how to seek all kind helps. Therapists only being one part of the solution. Brothers have to given the tools on what to look for in a therapist and a primary doctor. They also have to be schooled on what is a therapist, psychologist, Psychiatrist, counselor, social worker, life coach, etc. so they can make the best decision for them on their total wellness!
