- The first succesful test flight of Mick Bullough's beautiful 1/4 Scale Sopwith Pup (Designer - Mick Reeves) powered by OS 120 Four Stroke. Test flight at the Thirsk Model Club on Wednesday 8th August 2012.

From every angle, the Sopwith Pup is just a beautiful, well proportioned, aircraft - with pilots reporting that it was a delight to fly. This model is simply a 1/4 scaled down piece of that legacy!! Superb!! 👍
This is what it's all about. A beautiful own handy built model airplane with a fantastic engine with its own 4 stroke sound and scale flown. Wonderful recording. Here I am delighted and enthusiastic. No ready model, straight out of the Chinese box! No, build and fly, that's the real hard of the model builder hobbyist.
At that power setting, you could stay up all day.

I would say probably the most realistic looking RC flight I’ve ever seen! Music was a nice touch too. Not overpowering just very appropriate.
Couldn’t have asked for a better sky too. Howard Hughes would have been jealous!

Beautiful Pup, it looks quite a bit bigger than the Balsa USA 1/4 scale Pup.
It's a lovely model, but I wish people would not put music over the sound of the engine !

What engine do you have on this. Sounds awesome!
I suggest Down elevator, full RT or LT rudder and blip the throttle cautiously to turn on the ground. Up elevator keeps it from turning.
Awesome plane! Does anybody know the name of the Bach music in the background?
J.S. Bach: The Well-Tempered Clavier: Book 1, BWV 846-869: 1. Prelude in C Major, BWV 846. Recorded by a good friend of mine for his (newborn at the time) grandson's well being.
