This video features most of the UK's 'garden regulars' for you to guess. It also has a few facts about each bird, including what they eat, which might help you attract them to your outdoor spaces.
Hi yesterday walking over the fields we heard a very high pitched shrill just once really loud and distinct never heard it before couldn’t locate the bird with the binoculars any ideas so I can research? Cheers
Very educational and a big help to me. It’s the Dunnock that always surprises me. Such an amazing song from a fairly drab bird that hides so well! Infuriating when you’re trying to find out who is making the song! Last pic is of a Bullfinch, but I can’t identify the call.
Ive been hearing an unfamiliar call near my garden and havnt manage to spot it yet..!?...I now know that it's a chaffinch....thankyou very much for the great informative video..... and what an amazing call a Jay has!!....
This is great, thank you, trying to teach my children what sounds to listen out for. There’s a bird in our garden that makes a sound like a barber snipping hair with scissors. Snip, snip, snip-snip, snip, snip-snip. We’re in Gloucestershire. Any ideas?!
Thanks for this. There's 2 other birds I've noticed in the garden not featured here and I've no idea what breed they are. One is small, green and zips through the air quite quickly. The other is a lot bigger, looks like a bird of prey and has a whistling type call. Edit: I've since confirmed the later is in fact a red kite.

Love the sound of the blackbird .. reminds me of all the studying I had to do.. whilst they sung away as the sun set!
It’s best to do this quiz with your eyes closed because the bird images are quite obvious
Great. Last one was a Bullfinch. Thank you.
Many thanks for watching!
Really helpful, as I'm trying to get better at identifying birds by their song.

Many thanks for watching and playing along. Glad you enjoyed it. 👍
Actually, when you showed the starling, I mostly heared the hoopoe :D
It's quite interesting how so many types of songbird could easily replace the sound effects in a 1950's science fiction film.
Lovely. Just birds. Proves we don't need humans talking about it. X
1:33 i've always wondered what kind of bird that came from
what's the bird in the background at 3:56, doing a fairly slow single note?
I'm trying to identify this bird too. If you find out please tell me
@@emmamcdonnell4419 I am pretty sure it is the chiff chaff. Like a regular tick tock.
ChiffChaff :)
Can you add some more birds like the willow warbler or the bird?
Hi, Thanks for the comment. That will like be featured in a future video. 👍
This is technically the birdie song.

Never new the jay made that sound. Certainly not one you hear often.
