  • In today's video I show you how I took my Boba Fett's Throne Room set and gave it a massive overhaul to turn it into Boba Fett's PALACE instead. @@2bricks I gotta say, I’ve just discovered your channel and I SO appreciate your play-scale/minifig-compatible scale MOCs because they are much more realistically accessible for the average person. I have been a LEGO fan for… 20 years (??? Damn…) and I’ve always been that kid who had to pick and choose which sets to get from a cost standpoint. Even now, as an adult with a job and *some* disposable money, I still have to be choosy about whether to get sets or bricks for my own MOCs, and I’m always trying to go for something that is smaller, but still accessible for minifigs and “play”. All this to say, you’re inspiring me to keep on that path!

      One set could be the factory
      There could then be 3 seperate sets with:

All the rock work and the shape of the palace looks so good, it really looks like those iconic shots of Jabba's palace from a distance. • @2bricks
      @2bricks  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      thanks! yeah that was just a consequence of not having that many interior spaces to work with, so the Rancor pit area has to double as a few different things depending on the play scenario. Not ideal, but it's the best I could do without needing an absolute ton more pieces :)

    I was just writing this comment to ask about replacing the throne with the jabba figure and you talked about it at that exact moment. This is really well done. The rockface/mountain side is great and the curves in the architecture are spot on.
    I would have preferred the trapdoor to the rancor pit to be more of a mesh grate than the solid plate but the movement you achieved with the mechanism is impressive.

    I think your build is excellent and I totally agree with your POV regarding the sad absence of large scale playsets in today's Lego programme and no modularity in Star Wars sets in particular. But aside from that I have to say that I stumbled upon your fantastic model just because the rendition of some chinese knockoff brand using your very instructions (I bet without your consent or paying you) showed up in my amazon feed and I went out to look for the original designer. Anyway, I'm gladly buying your instructions just to show my appreciation (and with absolutely no idea if and when I'll ever come around to building it). Keep up the great work in both design and your videos, you have certainly a new follower here and on rebrickable! 🙂

      I’m afraid that buying a cheap one is near impossible if you want a genuine Lego one. There are doubtless plenty of more reasonably priced knock offs out there but I’d search the moc websites for a nice brick built minifigure scale one and go with that!

      Once there, you can see a list of the unique parts that weren’t included in the boba fetts throne room set, and then click the little export button to generate an xml file (which is just a list of the pieces which bricklink can understand). Copy and paste that text into a new bricklink wanted list, and once done, click “buy all” to run the algorithm!

    looks wonderful, but my guy, there is nothing that tells us what else would be needed to make this. And if it's in the video it is deeply hidden. Your instructions on rebrickable say to click the image near the bottom, but the only "image" is just a link to the set that you use in the build. What else do we need? Do we need two of these sets? Can you give us a different parts list for everything we need minus the main palace?
