Joel - you went NEXT LEVEL on these mods, I'm extremely impressed! And of course I love your dedication to ensuring your model uses only 'on-color-scheme' parts. The Lego Group's hard shift to multi-colored internal parts (often visible in their finished models) is a travesty and there needs to be more of us crafting beautiful accurate models like what you have created here!
This is absolutely amazing my interior pales in comparison. I was never able to fully connect the cockpit with the cargo hold. I will definitely be doing this before eventually placing it in a glass cabinet. Worth the wait
Agreed. The biggest issue for me is when you CAN see the hidden colors. My first video on this channel over two years ago addressed this problem. The UCS Star Destroyer from 2019 had “hidden” colors showing in multiple spots. Changing the colors, or “color correcting” (what I call it), is the reason why I created a Lego channel. I’ll be the first in line to admit that I’m an overly picky person 🤣
What a compliment!! Thank you! No way I’d sell them. I have a job and Lego is my hobby. I finally reached 1000 subscribers today, and that was what I needed to get motivated for the instructions.
Amazing mod, I love this ship so much. The only UCS set I have. Few years ago I took on a project and recolored it to Jango version and Prototype version. Yes, please for instructions. Although until Lego makes all of these brittle parts again, I am not modding the ship. I only added some 1x5 liftarms to lessen the sag of the front section. I found a mod on some forum online.
Thank you! Yes, it’s a shame about two of those part types being specific to the build. It was when the first piece chipped that I realized “Oh, really? Dark red is a problem?” From there on, I was as careful as possible when disassembling it. I was really sweating it when it came time remove the bigger pieces.
@@SlimboneLSWC yep, I when I built it, those 10x10 panels made really weird cracking sounds. Although from what I saw online, most often those 6x6 parts break. Dark red and brown are terrible, glad they were fixed. However new parts from 2022 and 2023 also sometimes develop hairline cracks, more often than older parts.
You're back! Very nice changes. There are times when open studs are acceptable, but only when they help give a more rough texture. I also regret to inform you, I have abandoned my project of making multiple ships in the scale of the UCS Super Star Destroyer. The project turned out to be too difficult and borderline impossible to do, forcing a 12 stud long Imperial Star Destroyer that is a brick tall. Without completely abandoning the diamond shape of the Star Destroyer, it is not possible to do that. I will make a video going over my to scale Fulminatrix later.

I have been more or less satisfied with the changes I have made to my model but its great to see that you were able to compile all these modifications into a single video that is easy to follow with this much attention to detail. You just earned a like!
Something that I’d say about the colors they used like the green and the tan seemed at least to me to function as two things. 1 to help break up the build so when putting it together you don’t get lost trying to find the same color pieces over and over. And the second one would be references to boba himself given his color scheme is similar
Another thing not mentioned in this video is that I believe the 2015 UCS Slave I isn’t actually minifigure scaled. If it were 10-15% larger, that would be more accurate.
