Same thing, historians dislike the term 'Dark Ages' and who can blame them. If you spent all your time studying the period you wouldn't want a péjorative term like the 'Dark Ages' used. 'Middle Ages' is less judgmental, more factual. The Modern period started with the Tudor Dynasty (early Modern) in the UK, not sure when it happened elsewhere.
The worst period to live on earth was when the volcano eruption caused a winter and spread of numerous diseases. Poor people who learning history can see that things like viruses or natural disasters happens also today

Same thing, historians dislike the term 'Dark Ages' and who can blame them. If you spent all your time studying the period you wouldn't want a péjorative term like the 'Dark Ages' used. 'Middle Ages' is less judgmental, more factual. The Modern period started with the Tudor Dynasty (early Modern) in the UK, not sure when it happened elsewhere.
