Hyderabad region in TSRTC, MMTS, Hyderabad Metro should be made into Seperate Corporation. Single pass should work in all modes of transportation. (2) What is the use for the last Stop at Miyapur, when all the middle and general class public are residing at Chandannagar, BHEL and upto Patancheru. Metro lines should be extended upto Ghatkesar , upto Hayatnagar from LB Nagar, upto ECIL from JBS and upto Patancheru from Miyapur. Further, from lakdikapool to Gachibowli via Mehdipatnam , Miyapur to Gachibowli, etc. Because most of the middle class (80 percent) people resides in Patancheru, suraram, kompally, alwal, ECIL surrounding, Boduppal and Ghatkesar, Hayatnagar, Vanasthalipuram, Nagarjuna Sagar road etc. Those areas are not at all covered. Why Last station is Miyapur when upto Patancheru it was already developed during that time. One has to think in this way.

One of the Main reason for metro failure is it doesn't connect Lakdikapool to Mehdipatnam Mehdipatnam to Gachibowli Mehdipatnam to punjagutta Lakhs of people travels from Mehdipatnam to these areas in a day
Point is simple. either expand the Metro Network on priority basis to cover max part of the city and Improve the last mile connectivity or shut down everything. No one will decide the destination on the basis of the metro rail connectivity, they decide the destination first and then explore the commute options. Still don't understand this govt is ready to spend lakhs of crores for welfare schemes but blames center govt for the Viability gap funding (which is around 10-15 pc of the total cost if I am not wrong) and also Govt has to spend so much on Public transportation which is very weak compared to other metros (currently Hyd metro rail network is second biggest but just compare the construction status of other city metro lines, we are doing nothing here for past few years and will be pushed back once they get operational. SRDP and Link Road network is definitely improving dynamics of Hyderabad commuters but without a strong public transport, this will also become overloaded in just a matter of time. Where is the finalized DPR of Hyd Metro Rail Phase 2 which has been struck for more than 2 years, if we start now, it will again take 6-7 years of time for starting of operations. at least they can extend the current lines further and the Airport Line meanwhile and make them operational in less than 3 years. According to its capacity, I think Hyderabad metro is doing good. Infact if a person wants to go to Hitech city or punjagutta, everyone knows the compartment will be heavily crowded. Infant people want extra coaches. But one main concern is stations are very nearby, for example, tarnaka, habsiguda, stadium, uppal.. like within 4 km there are 4 stations and by the time it starts to accelerate, next station has arrived. And even ticket price is high, considering not everyone uses it for daily commute. If we consider the time taken from Hi-tech to secunderabad, both metro and mmts take same time (I personally took both of them and saw the time) but ticket cost of metro is 6 times that of mmts.. Bank should try reducing interest rates and even the shops in metro should be changed to something people would love going to, instead of normal shops. Also there should be connecting busses like from Malkangiri or ECIL or nearest metro as RTC busses are crowded.
First decrease ticket rates then automatically get good profits.When compare our tickets with Chennai and W.B.Metro tickets 4times greater than their tickets.
Any public transport in Hyderabad will become success only by students and below middle class people. Make ticket fair affordable by students and poor people. You will see huge success.
The sheer size of Delhi metro amazes anyone... connecting Gurgaon in Haryana to Noida in U.P via Delhi... 3 states one link..(roads r there bt riding on Delhi roads is like taking bath in CO2 in some seasons). Hyd metro was opened with many aspirations and its sad to see it's current status. Even roads that were dig for pillar construction, haven't repaired and expanded sufficiently in some areas leading to more traffic in already jam-packed roads.
This is not a popcorn business to sell everything by evening and book the profits. Metro is long term strategic asset for Hyd. Ticket cost is already high for metro, increasing it further is not a good idea, it will discourage more people to use metro. Rather they should rollout monthly/quarterly/yearly passes where people pay the money upfront and get passes with discounted fares. Metro can use that money for filling it's loses and to attract more business through various means.

Bus fare from Secunderabad to Uppal bus depot is Rs.20, whereas from Secunderabad East to Uppal depot is Rs.40(30+10)... exactly double.. moreover moving in the same alignment... Metro railway should have been made for city outskirts like Medchal Kompally Malkajgiri etc where there is insufficient public transport. In city there is plenty of transport. This is one of the reasons for losses.

Main reason is no speed,and location of the stations, for example if you see Miyapur station it is neither close to Miyapur cross road. It's so inconvenience, people who think of Metro will take bus near X roads rather than go to Metro. Frequency of stations, by the time train takes second gear, station comes. No facilities, no washroom maintenance. If you look at పంజాగుట్ట station, it's close to Sri Nagar colony, where no-one will use it. Lakhs of people use the x roads, another flop station. Another example, moosapet station named as Balanagar, you all know where is Balanagar. Baratnagar there is stop and again in erragadda, both are just 1 km away, which is another foolishness. Huge rush near Gokul theatre bustop but station is near sanatnagar x roads, who will come back and take it. Right from day one, fautly technology used. Metro man Sridharan said, the technology where the power lines are above Metro train is old, if you see Delhi, it's 20 years,power lines are between tracks. Old technology used. There are few stations where not even single passenger takes train. Hyder Nagar station is called JNTU, we all know where is JNTU. If the same station is just above JNTU many might have used to to to Hitec City via Forum Mall road. Again flop. With huge popularity they started smart bikes in end stations as if we are in Europe, another flop, waste of money. Many stations does not have proper parking, why will people use it. They will go in own cars. Another flop. From Ameerpet to Begumpet train goes dead slowly, we can walk faster instead. In Miyapur station, car parking is half km away, with no proper facilities, by the time you park and come and take Metro, we can get bus instead. When it rains much worse, parking has no flooring, full of mud. So many shops are built but not used, they are used for illegal activities near Miyapur. Out of EGO then government built without considering Sridharan, now they are facing consequences.

Nagole Metro Station Terminal is the Originating Station which is actually near Uppal. It should have been extended upto LB Nagar covering Nagole, Snehapuei, Rock Town, Kamineni Hospitals (and) the same line at the other end should have been extended till Financial District after Rayadurgam. This will fetch approximately 4 Lakhs additional passenger footfall in HYD Metro that could bail out L&T from losses. NVS Reddy is a crap fellow. First he should be removed from HMRL. Then only Metro will survive.
If something comes about metro, I only remember the horrific traffic jams caused during the construction of metro rail, 1 hr journey became 3 hrs, emergency ambulances stuck with patient and siren on helplessly in those traffic jams, most useless project, atleast that money might have been used for making the ever existing worst roads to the best roads, still roads are worst but metro is built and wasted ..

There are no continuously moving escalators like malls 6 capacity lift/elevator is waste. Old people will find difficult to climb stairs.

SRDP and Link Road network is definitely improving dynamics of Hyderabad commuters but without a strong public transport, this will also become overloaded in just a matter of time.
What is that problem which is stopping our state govt from building own metro lines like other states are doing, curious to know.
Where is the finalized DPR of Hyd Metro Rail Phase 2 which has been struck for more than 2 years, if we start now, it will again take 6-7 years of time for starting of operations. at least they can extend the current lines further and the Airport Line meanwhile and make them operational in less than 3 years. Not to forget, even Phase 1 was termed complete without the MGBS - Faluknama part.
If some political party comes and mentions that they will extend the metro network (in their manifesto), just ask why they haven't did it earlier (govt) or why they haven't fought for it (opposition). just don't blindly follow everyone.and other state govts building their own metro lines, curiou

According to its capacity, I think Hyderabad metro is doing good. Infact if a person wants to go to Hitech city or punjagutta, everyone knows the compartment will be heavily crowded. Infant people want extra coaches.
But one main concern is stations are very nearby, for example, tarnaka, habsiguda, stadium, uppal.. like within 4 km there are 4 stations and by the time it starts to accelerate, next station has arrived.
And even ticket price is high, considering not everyone uses it for daily commute.
If we consider the time taken from Hi-tech to secunderabad, both metro and mmts take same time (I personally took both of them and saw the time) but ticket cost of metro is 6 times that of mmts..
Bank should try reducing interest rates and even the shops in metro should be changed to something people would love going to, instead of normal shops.
Also there should be connecting busses like from Malkangiri or ECIL or nearest metro as RTC busses are crowded.

The sheer size of Delhi metro amazes anyone... connecting Gurgaon in Haryana to Noida in U.P via Delhi... 3 states one link..(roads r there bt riding on Delhi roads is like taking bath in CO2 in some seasons). Hyd metro was opened with many aspirations and its sad to see it's current status. Even roads that were dig for pillar construction, haven't repaired and expanded sufficiently in some areas leading to more traffic in already jam-packed roads.
This is not a popcorn business to sell everything by evening and book the profits. Metro is long term strategic asset for Hyd. Ticket cost is already high for metro, increasing it further is not a good idea, it will discourage more people to use metro. Rather they should rollout monthly/quarterly/yearly passes where people pay the money upfront and get passes with discounted fares. Metro can use that money for filling it's loses and to attract more business through various means.

Main reason is no speed,and location of the stations, for example if you see Miyapur station it is neither close to Miyapur cross road. It's so inconvenience, people who think of Metro will take bus near X roads rather than go to Metro. Frequency of stations, by the time train takes second gear, station comes. No facilities, no washroom maintenance. If you look at పంజాగుట్ట station, it's close to Sri Nagar colony, where no-one will use it. Lakhs of people use the x roads, another flop station. Another example, moosapet station named as Balanagar, you all know where is Balanagar. Baratnagar there is stop and again in erragadda, both are just 1 km away, which is another foolishness. Huge rush near Gokul theatre bustop but station is near sanatnagar x roads, who will come back and take it. Right from day one, fautly technology used. Metro man Sridharan said, the technology where the power lines are above Metro train is old, if you see Delhi, it's 20 years,power lines are between tracks. Old technology used. There are few stations where not even single passenger takes train. Hyder Nagar station is called JNTU, we all know where is JNTU. If the same station is just above JNTU many might have used to to to Hitec City via Forum Mall road. Again flop. With huge popularity they started smart bikes in end stations as if we are in Europe, another flop, waste of money. Many stations does not have proper parking, why will people use it. They will go in own cars. Another flop. From Ameerpet to Begumpet train goes dead slowly, we can walk faster instead.
In Miyapur station, car parking is half km away, with no proper facilities, by the time you park and come and take Metro, we can get bus instead. When it rains much worse, parking has no flooring, full of mud. So many shops are built but not used, they are used for illegal activities near Miyapur. Out of EGO then government built without considering Sridharan, now they are facing consequences.

Nagole Metro Station Terminal is the Originating Station which is actually near Uppal. It should have been extended upto LB Nagar covering Nagole, Snehapuei, Rock Town, Kamineni Hospitals (and) the same line at the other end should have been extended till Financial District after Rayadurgam. This will fetch approximately 4 Lakhs additional passenger footfall in HYD Metro that could bail out L&T from losses.
NVS Reddy is a crap fellow. First he should be removed from HMRL. Then only Metro will survive.
If something comes about metro, I only remember the horrific traffic jams caused during the construction of metro rail, 1 hr journey became 3 hrs, emergency ambulances stuck with patient and siren on helplessly in those traffic jams, most useless project, atleast that money might have been used for making the ever existing worst roads to the best roads, still roads are worst but metro is built and wasted ..
