Yoooooo bladers, I hope you enjoyed the video. I will be doing competitive testing videos all next week on both L Drago and Whale, so stay tuned for that. Also, members get to pick out a combo that will also be featured in the testing videos, so for my members, let me know what combos you'd like to see featured on both.
Honestly even though it’s only 33-34 I’m happy with it. The bakuten remakes were 28 grams and as an L Drago fan I was using this bey regardless in my deck. So 33 is very exciting for me. I may try to do more of a spin stealing build though since it at least seems more balanced than Dragoon. So use like with Glide since 33-34 for an attack build feels light
This is the direction I'm headed with L-Drago Barrage. People were trying to make Dragoon a zombie because it's the only left-spin option we had. But really, the shape of the blade is far too square for it to be a decent spin-stealer. Whereas Barrage's rounder shape has much better makings of a stamina zombie bey. Also, this is where being lighter is actually advantageous, because you want the zombie to be lighter than the bey it's leeching from. Krow's being 32g is pretty low, though. I've seen other videos where they've weighed Barrage, and it's been ~33.5g. 33.5g vs Rod's 35.5g average. To me, that seems perfect for a spin-stealer. I'm going to try Barrage on Glide, but I'm also curious about Elevate. I'm not bothered about the rail riding gimmick, but what piques my interest is the LAD of that bit compared to other stamina bits. Something like Barrage 3-60E, 7-60E, or 9-60E might be worth testing, at least.
Mine should be coming soon! So far all over x project beys are purposefully nerfed to focus on the new designs and new beys, but I think the over x project is the best thing ever so we can use our favorite beys throughout the years. But awesome videos as always bro!!
Like you, I don't have any particular connection to this generation, but I enjoyed unboxing it earlier today (stickers aside...) glad I managed to pull the slightly better of the two blades in my one pack though 😅 looking forward to trying it out more
I’m just glad it can actually compete with the current beys because the x - over beys aren’t great and won’t really make a difference in battle but L -Drago is definitely worth using to me amazing video
I think they felt MF beys kinda had to be usable cause they were already metal based and ldrago was also the top voted. So it could be special treatment but I'd like to think MF remakes will just be better than plastic gen due to them already being metal centric
Would be cool to see a follow-up with some competitive combinations for both of them. Upper is going to do well with a more optimised attack type combo. 1-60R or 1-60C and I think it'll be even better than the stock combo, which is already pretty decent. Barrage, I think, forget about building it as an attack type, because it could be better built as a spin-stealing bey, similar to Dragoon but with a bit more of a rounder shape. Try it on Glide and a more balanced ratchet. I'm also curious how it'll do on Elevate because of the better-than-most LAD that that bit has. The lighter weight may actually help with its matchup against Rod because you generally want the zombie bey to be lighter than the bey it's leeching off.
Only thing that disappointed me was not including a launcher that looked like the og string launcher that originally came with ldrago. All so they could get you to go buy cobalt dragoon. Kinda blows tbh
I’m glad for metal fight community that they didn’t nerf the weight like they did the plastic Gen remakes. I hope they fix the weight problem for next two upcoming plastic Gen remakes
I just bought my first set of Hasbro beys today, and I TOTALLY get the hype! Looking forward to buying more and potentially going to a local tournament! 😊 For reference, I’ve been a fan since the original Metal Fight. Lightning L-Drago was like THE coolest bey ever at the time.
Im curious how the upper l drago will perform with the E bit from the whale release. Elevate is designed for that upper cut blade so I see some potential here
Try out these combos: •L-Drago Upper Blade, 3-60(Controlled attacks and supports weight distribution on the 3 bladed design of L-Drago. *The ratchet alignment can also be changed*), LF(Deliver effective upper attacks and Ratchet bursts. *Depending on launch angles*) •L-Drago Rapid Blade, 5-60(More OWD, stamina, more weight, a bit of defense), R(More stamina and Xtreme Dashes)
Yesterday I was at a fair where they had a beyblade x area to let people play and learn how to build a bey. After playing you would spin a wheel to see what prize you win between stickers, gift card or starter pack . It was a blast
I wish they took the opportunity to make the firs 50 height ratchet, it's technically an option since it's on the box art as a bar under 60, and due to l Drago being a uniquely low attacker in MFB it would make sense
I'm going to be putting the upper attack claws low flat on it first thing, because Lightning El Drago deserves the LF bit. And I'm going and putting on the other going on to cyclone for the rapid attacks. They were made for each other.
The combo should have been 3/60 rush. You could change the orientation of 3/60 to match the contact point on the different “modes” and rush is more similar in profile to hole flat although flat has the divot it’s way wider than hole flat was
Where can I find this? I used to have the original L-Drago, and I wouldn't mind getting into Beyblade X, and I would love to have L-Drago in my collection again.
I almost never run attack blades as attackers Phoenix on orb is definitely is best setup So Ldrago on ball or maybe even needle to use the tilt to really use those side points of contact could be interesting It coming with 1-60 is interesting but so far I’ve only liked it on hammer
Looks like we need to treat barrage/rapid form as the dran dagger type multi attacker. These are perfect to whittle down hard to break def type like leon crest. Taper/rush with 3-60 might work?
@@KrowBlader ah I see, its similar to Taper with more stamina. I think both modes got potential, just got different use case, like the OG and the anime.
The thing is that in Metal fight limited, the two modes are literally negligible. You could use any of them and do good in a tournament. However with these ones, I'm not so sure. It might be the same, but with how mid its weight is, I don't think it's gonna be that good. I could be wrong, but that's just how it is.
it actually looks like it has a lot of outer weight distribution so I have a feeling it might actually be okay at equalizing compared to cobalt dragoon
For me this is the best x over bey we’ve gotten I do wish we got a string launcher but oh well can’t wish for mine tho mall of toys hasn’t said a release date I hope I don’t have to wait till October for mine
When it comes to L-Drago, if you want to run it competitively... I think 3-60 would actually would be great on upper mode because of how you can line up the blades of the ratchet to the blades. And when it comes to barrage mode, I think either 5-60 or 9-60 would be good for it. Idk, I am an X comp. noob. Though with my knowledge of how MFB was/still is Upper Mode could get an insane buff when RA releases.
You're right on the money. As soon as I finished recording, I put 3-60 on it and seen a massive increase in stability and power. Haven't tried 9-60 yet tho.
This is cool, Takara has proven capable of making a remake heavy. Now moving forward I better not see any more of these remakes the same weight as dranzer or driger. It would be very cringe if Ldrago was the only usable remake 😭
Really myself has kn0wn Upper blade, unbalanced(it’s w0uldn’t spinning balance with stamina bit) And f0r barrage blade are actual n0rmal balance spinning perf0rmance

Upper mode L drago is just insane for sure! I like how it weighs almost the same as the 1st bx beys.
It’s more than most early releases

It’s funny how this is market more towards the 20+ year old audience more than the new kids

I think that what it needs is a new ratchet, 1-60 adds a bit more weight on one side and doesn't let him equalize
