    From Amityville to Annabelle | The Truth of Ed and Lorraine Warren's Scariest Case
    Ed and Lorraine Warren are maybe the most famous paranormal investigators in history.
    They've worked on more than 10,000 cases. Some of which have been made into books and movies. The Conjuring films are based on the work of the Warrens.
    Today we'll look at a few of their scariest, most disturbing cases and find the truth.
    So turn off the lights and put the little ones to bed. It's going to get spooky.

      Basically, in a lot of their cases, they didn't really do anything, for example, the Amityville case, they showed up, looked around, announced 'Yep, you got demons alright' and left, then rode the coat tails of everyone else involved.

      Had sth like that with my work at a restaurant near the baltic coast. At any time chairs were knocked over, or moved just o so little around. One of the students helping out told, it must be some old owner of the place, not satisfied with the renovation. When arriving at work, I started getting used to say, well, stay if you must though it's boring, but annoy someone else, thanks. It worked.

    • @happierabroad
      @happierabroad 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not true. He didn't debunk anything. He just caught the Warrens exaggerating or lying sometimes. So what? People who were they say that only people who weren't there claim it's debunked. For example if you listen to interviews with Laura Didio or the 2 boys from the Lutz family that grew up you will see that they swear 100 percent that Amityville definitely was haunted. AJ has very LOW STANDARDS for calling something "debunked" and is too quick to jump to conclusions. Why are you all kissing his butt and not thinking for yourselves? Something is quickly debunked because you WANT it to be. That's why you will accept any flimsy evidence to support it.

    When I was a cocky, know it all teenager, I was working on a project motorcycle in my mothers garage…one day I went out there to continue tinkering and found a small, child’s rocking chair. It looked very old, figured my mother had picked it up at a garage sale. I moved it into the living room so it wasn’t in my way. No one, INCLUDING my mother had ever seen it before. We had some minor poltergeist activity, and all of us had seen it rocking on it’s own. Mom was very liberal, live and let live… made it out to be a novelty. After a year, we had increased activity, moved to a small farm and left the chair!

    When I first saw a photo of Ed and Lorraine, I thought he can't be trusted. Something about his eyes and never seen Lorraine look directly at the camera. Camera shy or hiding from the true 'seers'? Do ghosts and spirits exist, in my opinion? You bet! Seen a lot of weird stuff over the years and felt even more. The Snedeker case: one thing that continues to puzzle me is: why did that couple make their ill son sleep down in the basement/former morgue when the house was clearly big enough for him to sleep somewhere else? Basements are not healthy places even for people who aren't ill. They refused to even let him sleep anywhere else, eve when he told them he was frightened. What sort of parents are they?

    • @Frankie5Angels150
      @Frankie5Angels150 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Meh. The kid was dying of cancer anyway. Maybe they were saving a trip to the morgue.

    • @elizabethhuie563
      @elizabethhuie563 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      That case there was some information the Warrens left out. The Snedeker was the family only rented the bottom part of the house while another woman rented the top part. There was a short article I read many years ago in which the woman upstairs stated the family had a drinking problem and the son (had gotten sick) did drugs.

    • @EinsteinsHair
      @EinsteinsHair 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      Someone already replied that the Snedekers did not rent the whole house. I noticed that AJ called it a duplex. He also said a couple of other family members came with them. I rewatched to check that part: the Snedekers, 4 children, two nieces; and AJ showed a picture of 8 people. So they were packed very tight.

      I lived near the green Street haunting in Enfield. I met the daughter and mother. Solid, genuine people. The girls may have made some things up but Janet was and still is affected by the trauma. There are countless witnesses in the house and in the street outside witnesses who see Janet levitate in front of her bedroom window and a lollipop lady called that name because of the stop sign used to stop the traffic to see children cross the road to the school opposite. She see odd things like a cushion positioned on the roof. Janet was the focus and was put into hospital for checks and nothing physically wrong was found. This case is 100% genuine. They seemed a normal couple, but Ed was intense. They focused on photos of their investigations and Padre Pio's head appeared often in them. Ed had a unique relationship with the church. You can't have demons without the church. Fear inspires tithing and Ed saw the opportunity to sell this fear as well. Is this any different than buying anything else? I met the Warren's in 1989. Great lecture. My friend went and worked with them for awhile.
    Really liked how they described things between human and non human paranormal activities.
    They were definitely a colorful couple. Very religious.

      You could not have listened to the entire video. They are faaarrr from religious. The warren man was a pedo. They were proven liars as well.

      It figures...people who buy into a "God" concept, can buy into most anything else...It is all about Belief vs Factual Information....and many people prefer a Belief System, over the more mundane concept of Factual Reality!

    Another fabulous video, AJ!
    I remember watching “The Amityville Horror” one October when it was aired on tv around 1983 - I assume it would have been cable because I can’t imagine that being shown on network tv in the early 80’s and I know I was likely 9 years old. Awesome subject matter for someone with only a one digit age. Great movie. Likely the reason I’m an insomniac to this day.
    Speaking of movies, you should do a show on the real story of “The Exorcist”. The actual event took place in an old hospital here in St. Louis and I babysat for a family that lived next to the house that the kid who was exorcised had been staying at when it all took place.

      I have a lot of info on that case too. The movie inspired to investigate the true story. Sadly the boy died about 2 years ago. According to him he doesn’t remember anything and grew up to be a very smart and successful person. He worked on some atomic bombs and later also worked for Nasa. The story of how he got possessed is also intriguing. Apparently he had a aunt who was a spiritualist and taught him how to use a quigi board. When she died, he tried contacting her through that and that’s how the possession started. There’s accusations that the boy might of made it all up and was probably sexually abused by the aunt. At a young age, her death would of changed him and maybe he acted out on that. But when he was undergoing the exorcisms, there was a lot of witnesses. A lot were credible. After the boy was saved they closed the whole floor and eventually the whole hospital. The priest kept a diary and it was accidentally found when they demolished part of the hospital. Definitely, worth looking into as is he and and his family were kept in secret until he passed away recently.

    I am not sure about those stores, but I definitely had experience myself. In my old family home, I once heard kids running around, opening doors that were locked before laughing, a strange feeling of being watched especially in the basement, and things moving when there was no one else home. I know I’m not crazy because my brother was there too and heard the laughs and after I finally left the place, he told me he kept seeing doors opening on own and other stuff.
    My sister once saw something run at non human speed downstairs, and when she went down to investigate, saw moving pair of shoes behind a sofa. She was alone and had no reason to lie about it and there’s practically no way someone broke into the house.

    I used to love their books, and even almost went to the "museum" when I was in New England, but never did. As I got older I started to find out more about them. I'll be nice and say I was disillusioned and well, this video just takes it right over the edge from disillusioned to disappointed and disgusted.

    I used to be a ghost hunter, but I stopped doing it because I'm not up to the task, or qualified to deal with Supernatural forces. I feel like the ghosts helped me realize that. This kind of stuff seems to exist, but I'll let some other person with a stronger mind than I to go deal with these things. I will always be interested, but I'll just have to take a backseat.

    thanks so much aj for covering this, i knew it AJ is a master story teller every single time, hope you'd do a balanced shuffle between the topic genres (from ghosts to aliens to conspiracy theories to world anomalies then back again), really love the way you handle a story, comprehensive and objective, and yet also a human touch to it by way of humor, keep it up pls!
