Song is about AIDS. Son was dying of AIDS and and eventually his farther comes to visit his son on final days. aIDS used to be a bad stigma back in the days. People who fell ill with this disease usually died alone. This song shows the unconditional love a father has for his son, regardless of circumstances. Made me cry, first time seeing the video.
Namaste. This is not one of his famous songs, but among my dozen favourites- there are a lot of hidden treasures in Elton's incredible catalogue. My own favourites: Curtains Candle in the Wind (1973) Someone Saved my Life Tonight Rocket Man Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding High Flying Bird Tiny Dancer Your Song Original Sin Indian Sunset Daniel The Last Song Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Captain Fantastic Come Down in Time We All Fall in Love Sometimes Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters Where To Now St Peter I Don't Wanna Go On With You Like That Bennie and the Jets Skyline Pigeon (1972) The One Believe Sacrifice Levon Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word I've Seen That Movie Too Empty Garden Madman across the Water (Tumbleweed Connection bonus track version) Mandalay Again Gone to Shiloh First Episode at Hienton Tonight Nikita Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me They Call It the Blues Burn Down the Mission I'm Still Standing
Thanks for all the Elton John reactions you have done. I haven't seen any from the "Rock of the Westies" album. One that is kind of fun is "Island Girl"

The most underrated EJ song, and one of his very best.
Super duper reaction. Hope I said it right.

Oh Island Girl, though a big hit in USA, is not in my Elton top 100
