Dutch Baby is known as Yorkshire Pudding the UK and usually eaten with roast beef and gravy for Sunday lunch! The pudding was a filler so that less meat could be served. Although any leftovers were used up with jam or honey as a desert for supper.
You and your sister actually made a Yorkshire pudding, without all that sugar. It goes with roasted meat which, after the initial cooking is placed directly on the oven rack and the pan the meat was cooked in with the mixture, directly underneath. This way, all the cooking juices go into the pudding while it's cooking. You can also put the mixture in muffin pans for popovers. No matter which version you cook, it sure is deeeeelishhhhussss!
