San Marta is my city. But now I live in Italy, I miss it so much. I do not miss thieves at all, and I have too many places to visit up here, I just returned from Prague. Beautiful, If you don't know it, I truly recommend it.
Hey! Thanks so much for watching. I'm glad I was able to give you a glimpse of your hometown. Of course living in Europe gives you more peace of mind than South America. I have visited Prague and it really was beautiful! Ciao!
For some reason I didn't expect Santa Marta to be quite so big. I always imagined it to be a much smaller place. I'm glad you were able to find some nice places to eat, but too bad you weren't able to go to Tayrona!
Generalizations. See one colonial building in poor shape but missed the historic center where all colonial buildings are well kept. See one beach in the city but missed over 30 other beaches for different taste and beauty
We miss fireworks! Mexico is our first country in a while without random fireworks lol. Ikaro Cafe looks nice and the food very yummy. Looks un at night. Finally we get to see the arepa that changed your whole perspective on them, lol. Great guide!
Hey guys! Thanks for watching! Gotta love the fireworks. Ikaro was definitely a nice little haven in Santa Marta. haha... my opinions in arepas started changing in Cartagena already and yes... that shrimp one was probably the apex!
Nice presentation and your language skills are excellent. I'd love to spend some time in Colombia and Santa Marta seems like a good choice except for the lack of a perfect beach.
Hey Dennis! Thanks so much for watching the video and leaving this kind comment. I hope you make it to Colombia! You can definitely use Santa Marta as a base to see a lot of cool spots around it, by boat. Cheers mate!
@@GringoNation Well, thank you!!! You remind me of a friend in Spain that is close!!! We ususally go to Puerto Vallarta with the dogs, because we can drive there. I am impressed with Colombia, too, and would love to spend time there.
Over priced and over hyped and not worth it looks to me ? -- The heat and the expense is a deal breaker for me ! > I prefer comfortable - and - affordable. -- A frugal budget is my preference and these coastal areas aren't usually cheap.
Hey Frank! Thanks for watching the video! I agree that it may not be your best bet, then. However, there's a town called Palomino more to the east that I heard great things about. I hope I can investigate it one day. Cheers!

i spent four nights in the park in Cabo and loved it. Booked it in Taganga and took a boat from there
Thanks for this info! Glad you got to enjoy the park!

Hey Lawrence! Thanks for watching and sharing! Unfortunately I wasn't in the position to be paying for beaches. 😆
