- One year since I last raced a 5K and I return to Dunham Massey for the Dave Telford Memorial 5K, could I get an all time PB for this course after competing here in 2022 and 2023? Perfect running conditions, around 250 people on the start line and part of a 4-race series. Great to have the support of my wife Diane and my mother-in-law Annie, also thanks to Diane for the in-race footage:)
Nicely done, that was a strong (and nicely documented) 25 minute 5km!
Thanks John, I think I can go sub-25, I just have to keep working at it😊
Great run. I’d love a 30min 5k run, but don’t think I’ll get there! I’ll keep trying though.
Thanks Jennifer, as I say in the video, not many people can do that, just being able to complete a 5K deserves kudos😊
Hi Jennifer. Join the club I’ve been trying for an under 5k parkrun for ages. Various injuries have held me up. I currently come in between 32 and 35. I’ll also keep trying though. Closest I got was 30.06 well over a year ago. It would be a bonus but not the end of world if it doesn’t/never happens. Best wishes L…
Great running. Looks like a great event 👌
Thanks Stu, perfect running conditions, lovely location, shame I couldn’t break 25🙂
👏🏻🥳
Thanks Linda😊
Congratulations on a solid race, you looked very much in the zone! That's not a bad time at all. Was that this week, don't remember it being that sunny here Thursday evening. I was meant to be doing a 5 mile race that night but was too sick. I remember looking out the window and being kind of glad I weren't leaving the house lol Anyways, nice to see some footage from your camera crew 😂 pat yourself on the back pal 👍
Thanks Craig, yes it was Thursday 6th, I really wanted to at least break 25 minutes even if I couldn’t PB and I think it was the 3rd km where I lost it, from km4 I felt strong and was pushing hard for the last 750m. I have another 5K race this Thursday so let’s see what happens there😊
Well done, Andy. Nice that you had family doing some race action filming. Your running form looks good!
Thanks Reto, it was great to have my family there, I get another chance to perform this Thursday at the Birchwood Brook 5K😬
@@AndyCliffMTB Good luck, Andy!
@@RunFreeandStrong Thanks Reto, also, when is Verbier Marathon?
@@AndyCliffMTB Verbier Marathon is Saturday, 6th of July. Thanks for asking.
That looked like a great 5k series Andy, excellent work and great to see you coming back strong 🔥🔥
Thanks Both, I’ve got another opportunity this Thursday, the Birchwood Brook 5K😊
@@AndyCliffMTBim excited to see that 😊 we are getting a bit behind on videos 😅😂 after tomorrow I'll need to release 3 😂 one word of advice I noticed from your run, I reckon you need to try and run the racing line a bit more, you seemed to take the corners very wide which could build up a decent amount of time if you do that every corner 😊 all the best for tomorrow 🔥👊
@@raleyadventures Thanks, I’ll do my best and you’re right, every second counts (and I needed just 15). When I watched myself back, I thought I looked like j was saving myself for the last km😂
@@AndyCliffMTB you still ran great 🙌 it's always better to be stronger second half than die off in the first km 😂
@@raleyadventures I’m on the way back💪😊
