AS3X+ First flight

Updated my IX14 and AR8030T Receiver to the new firmware and set up AS3X+ in the Skywing ARS300. After a few flights to lock in the AS3X+ gains and stop lock gains she is on rails!!! If you have not updated, don't Delay! Spektrum IX14 and AR8360T‪@SpektrumRCvideos‬ ‪@rcskywing9705‬

I was just out flying under a white overcast the other day with a mostly white plane. It does make them disappear, but man you got a great flight.

I am interested to find outhow you tuned the receiver for max. performance. Based on TwoBrothers reviews I am planning to increase gains in pitch directions and play with moving CG backwards. Already at default settings I see a huge difference with my Extreme Flight MXS 48". When stabilisation is off, it feels like i reduced my expo by half (as I already have a neutral CG, which makes the plane quite nervous in pitch direction). The MXS is my first 3D-plane (not ideal, I know), so I take it easy with rates and expo settings. When I switched to a gyro disabled flight mode, it felt like I switched to the next rate/expo level

I just followed the Spektrum writeup on tuning AS3X+. Step by step and it made a very noticeable difference in how the craft performed. The info can be found on the Spektrum Wiki page

​@@D_WallRCThank you. I followed the advanced Wiki for pitch only, for my P-51 and Air Tractor, I followed it on all 3 axis. When I now switch off AS3X+, it feels like my expo settings are back to 0. You get spoiled quickly with AS3X+

Yes it is the AS3X+ that you can get by upgrading the firmware on your transmitter and receiver. It works on several models, this is the AR8360T, also works on AR637T and others after the upgrade.
