i'm so glad you love Scotland. made me feel very proud of my fellow Scots watching this, thank you very much.
Thank you too ,I’m really really glad and happy over here ,Scotland is indeed a peaceful home to be ✌️🏴🥰
Hi Celline, glad you are liking our country. People smile at you from assistance and that smile is the saying hello and please feel welcome. Scotland is a country of very working class values, we understand life can be hard, and that the ordinary people the world over are just trying to get by. Life is tough enough without us making it any tougher for people who come to our country.
Awwww how adorable you people can be 🥰🥰🥰 wish all people will do as the Scottish 😂😍like the world will be great place to be i🙏🙏🇫🇮 thanks so much
I've been looking for input on the black experience in Scotland, and it's really heartening to know you've had a good time here. This was a really lovely video. ❤
Thank you and I am really having a wonderful time in Scotland 🥰🥰
Scotland is one of my favorite places to visit. I was always treated with the utmost respect and kindness. I am applying to move there once I retire in a couple years. Fingers crossed me and my family get approved 🤞🏾
Wonderful! Yeah wish you all the luck 🍀✌️
Good luck!
I wouldn't see you as black Celine I see you as Scottish #OneNation #OnePeople #Colourblind. Love your video and love your vibe.
Awwwww thank you so much this is so nice to hear . I’m glad to be seen as Scottish,😍😍🙏🏴God bless you
That’s such a lovely comment! ❤ Scotland is the best!! 🏴
Beautiful! 😊
Aye, too right! Scotland formed by 5 cultures coming together. It was pretty rocky at first. Now, I love how we still accept people from all over the world.
It's very refreshing to know that Scots hospitality is still strong forty-one years since I was there last. Wonderful people!
✌️🥰
I’m so glad you’ve had such a positive experience here ❤
Thank you 🙏🥰Scotland is really trying me well ☺️
Glad to see your having a positive experience, if people notice you from a long way off, then I am sorry, when I was a wee boy 40 years ago, there was no one black in Scotland, and I mean no one, now we have a healthy and vibrant black community, and it's great to see. Scotland is inclusive, not exclusive, we tend not to see skin colour, or religion, or accent, or ethnic background, we don't tolerate idiots, and as long as you feel like your part of what's happening here, then you ARE part of what's happening, and that makes you as Scottish as any of us. Good on you, am happy for you : )
Smiles are what you get in glasgow it's a city with heart and soul, and I'm glad to hear your story .
Brilliant but i worry about the right wing especially in england
Yeah thank you ,Glasgow is indeed sweet like sweet potatoes 🥰🥰✌️
I worry about the witness of the Scottish parliament. It's dazzling. 😂😅
@@michaelmcginley7930 see i find that odd scotlands always been very left leanin there is no worry of right wing thats a media myth
I have always dreamt about visiting Scotland. Now i am looking forward to arriving. Thank you for loving your new home❤❤❤❤
Very happy to hear your positive comments on Scotland, it mirrors comments from the african colleagues i have worked with (Nigerian & Malawian)
Ms Celine. Wonderful video. It brings great joy to my heart that Scotland is as i remember. Welcome home.
Theres a sayin here, yer wan a us noo! You are one of us now 😊 Scottish ❤
Hahahahha I am a proud Scottish now , thank you so much , I appreciate 🥰🥰🙏
I can still remember the reaction of an old lady in Inverness back in '83 to this wee African toddler, rare back then, it was if she was battling hard to hold in the most delighted reaction, but didn't want to embarrass the kid's mum.
Thank you dear. Am relieved to hear this 🙏
My pleasure 😊
Having lived in England, Wales and Scotland, Scotland is by far the most welcoming and the most pleasant.
Exactly
Thanks for this video, I'm moving to Aberdeen soon, I look forward to a nice experience as well😊
Hi that’s great ,you will surely do ,Scottish are nice people all over .welcome in advance 😍🥰
Thanks for this video! Moving to Inverness side in a few weeks and I've been struggling to find positive videos! You are a blessing 🙏
❤❤❤ thank you so much my dear really appreciate and I’m glad you are happy ,welcome and wish you all the best ,it’s really good here Scotland ✌️🥰
Welcome, I wish you well with your move 🏴🤗
@@lesley4085 thank you so much 🥰🥰
You will enjoy Inverness but please remember the pace of living is slower than down south.
hope you've settled in sneckie young un'! welcome to your other home :)
Best wee country in the world 👍🏴🏴
Yeaaaaaaaaah 100% 🏴🏴🏴
Whatever race you are if you conduct yourself correctly you will be treated with respect in Scotland. We are very tolerant and one of only a few countries who call out racism.
Correct 👍
Celline this is a great video thank you, my goodness I always ask pregnant women when they are due! I’ve learned something I’ll think twice 😂! As a retired midwife I’m baby mad 😂 I wouldn’t touch your wee one but yes I would want to talk to you both 😊. I think it’s definitely a Scottish thing I blether to everyone and found it odd when I went to London and people on the whole kept themselves to themselves. Not a criticism but recognition that everywhere has its differences.
I’m so sad that some black visitors have additional concerns around how they will be treated, the world we live in is challenging at times, please know you are welcome here, wishing you and yours health and happiness always. 🥰
🥰🥰😍thank you so much 🥂
Thank you for sharing your experience. I've visited Glasgow and Edinburgh... very beautiful 😍 💁🏾♀️
My pleasure 😊
glesga sucks ass(im from east end of lol)
Good morning Ms Celine you are making way things and so like
Got to admit I was a wee bit worried that there might be a negative from the videos title but all was well😁. Your vibrant nature gave me a bit of a lift this morning, all the best to you.
Hahahaa I know right ,you are good ,no negativie😊,awww I’m glad to hear that ,thank you and I’m honored to have you respond to the video 🙏🏴much appreciated ,have a very awesome day ✌️🤞
Ah, you smile at us, we'll smile right back!
🥰🥰🥰✌️🏴
Its the consistency for me ...❤❤
I should visit scotland soon
Hahahahhahahah we move my sister, I have to follow your steps 😂😂😂😂 please do visit Scotland is lovely ✌️🥰
Wow Scotland people seem like very kind souls, so beautiful to be a in loving and high Vibrational country ❤
If you only know how happy you look and sound.
lol thank you
I don't know if it still happens today, but it used to be that after a Christening, family members and guests would go back to the parents house for a drink, and put money under the baby's pillow.
U are most welcome ❤
Glad you are here. People give a coin not just for Good Luck but also to help pay for things for the baby. Some Parents save the coins/money for the child's future. No one should really be touching your baby, but people here do like to ruffle the hair of wee ones. Best wishes to you and your family!
Thank you so much for the additional explanation really helpful, really appreciate 🙏🥰 yeah I have been keeping the coins cos I didn’t know why until the woman explained so I will continue to save it lol
Yeah they touch my babies hair a lot 😄😄😄thank you ones again . 🙏🥰
This is also a tradition here in Ireland. The Scots and the Irish as very similar in a lot of ways. Cousins, basically.
@patrickbut-not-a-saint9418 really ,waaaw this awesome to know that .🥰
@@patrickbut-not-a-saint9418 Hope you and all are staying safe and warm over that way. Bit gusty in Glasgow, but nothing like the east coast.
@@timewithcelline Lots of the same traditions.
Hope you and all with you also are safe and warm where you are. I am seeing the flooding on the news in Dundee and up towards Aberdeen.
We are a bit obsessed with if babies actually arrive on their due date 😆 that and whether it’s a boy or girl, weight…all of that, we have bets on it, always put money in a new babies pram. It always happened when mine were tiny too!
Hope you like our wee country and welcome - wee Scots are friendly
Large Scots are friendly too
I love it here and forever do . 😍😍✌️🏴
Very friendly , they are forever smiling , and love that 🏴🏴😍❤️
Big Scots are friendly too !!
Only the little ones?
( Rural Fife here ) I'm glad we're making you feel welcome.
Thank you , I really am🥰🥰
thing bout us scots we re bit tribal at times but we dont really give a flyin fudge bout skin colour, only folk that give a crap bout skin colour is racists if yer nice tae us we are nice tae you if yer a bawbag to us we will be a bawbag back, growin up in east end of glasgow i only ever met what 4 black folk my entire life bout 8 now lol we smile and say hello to strangers all time its just being polite is all.
Very true. I left Glasgow at 15 to live in edinburgh and I was utterly amazed by the fact that no one spoke to you at the bus stop or in the shops. Lived here now for 30 years but it's still the same. It is a beautiful city though but very bloody expensive. And I agree with you skin colour was never a thing.
@@maramcdonald7650 aye it isn half, my dad used fire the 1 oclock gun in edinburgh castle(RIP) used go through edinburgh alot when younger it is very expensive. it is amazin though too many hills though :P lol
hello madam, this is my 1st time watching your video please which village is good for families to live in like Edinburgh villages please help. I love Scottish people so much.
Thanks and welcome, I appreciate you asking but unfortunately I’m in Glasgow so I know much more here than in Edinburgh even tho I have been there a couple of times .sorry
I'm Scottish and I can tell you now, nobody but family is touching my baby. I'd really consider anyone trying touch as weird.
You get what you give, you have a nice friendly personality so people will respond in kind to the energy you're putting out.
It's pretty normal where I live on the central belt for people to smile at one another, I really love that about my country. If you're out hiking it's a custom to say hello to fellow hikers or just a polite nod. I'm happy but not surprised to hear that you're having a positive experience here.
Yeah i experience that a lot when i visited glencoe mountains, every body said hi to me and even say bye when they are leaving , you guys are just nice to be around with ,you know I don’t really mind as I take it they are curious , but what what I don’t like is when they touches his hands , cos right after that you know babies 👶 , he puts his hands in his mouth and I get worried as I don’t want him to be ill . But anyway thank you 😊🙏
Regards to your family
why is due date a secret in Africa?
Are you in Paisley?
Hi. Great video, I'm glad you're enjoying our wee country. I have to ask though, why do you hide pregnancy due dates in Africa?
Hahahahhaha hi , in Africa we believe if people know about your due date they can harm the baby and the mother , no pregnant woman will ever tell you , even after birth some can take like a week before they announce that the baby has been delivered 😂😂😂 a lot of superstitions 😂😂😂😂in my country Africa
Ooo yeah I am really enjoying Scotland. , I love it here and will forever do , the people are just too good especially the older ones ? I love them☺️☺️🥰🥰
Hello celine, loved seeing your evident happiness, very infectious. So glad you like scotland. Have you visited edinburgh yet its a lovely city but I'm afraid you won't get the same banter. The glaswegians are just more real and don't take themselves too seriously and live a good laugh. 😀
Yes I was in Edinburgh but sincerely speaking I chose Glasgow ,I like it here more ,I feel it’s spacious here Hehehehehhe ,I stand to be corrected ,but I love Scotland in general ,the people makes it easy to live here .🙏🥂❤️❤️
Paisley? Good God in Govan!! Who crosses the ocean to live in Paisley? Tough stuff.
😀😀😀😀
Love my home city! The best people! Glad your enjoying it❤
Yeah I am enjoying it ,I’m glad we still have people like the Scottish on this earth ,if all countries were to be like the Scots . Life would have been better 🥰🥰😍✌️🏴
Hello, I just wanted to say that re the baby stuff, it's really it' s just because it's something positive and exciting for you. A lovely elderly lady I am privileged to know said :i don't mind dying because it allows me to take joy in babies. I know that in moving off the earth I'm making room for them.' Isi that wonderful?
Thank you so much for being so kind, the elderly always give an amazing love to new born babies.and I am glad to have your thoughts.God bless you and keep you much longer
I'm glad you are settled and happy scottish people will treat you good think we can say now you are scottish good luck
Ahhahaha yeah right I’m the newest black Scottish in town hehehehhe ,thank you 🥰🥰✌️
Hi would like to speak to you
about Scotland. How could I do that?
In Scotland we don’t care what colour someone is only what football team they support lol
Hahahahahaha ✌️🏴
I have heard that black girls new to Scotland don't date Scottish guys because we are too shy, I think that is probably true to a certain extent 🤣
Hahahahhah really omg 😆 didn’t know about that
@@timewithcelline haha yes, it was a Tovia Ogun video, I think she mentioned this. You know what though I think the main issue is not really shyness but just how to go about starting a conversation, when two cultures are a complete contrast, and the fear of perhaps offending by asking the wrong questions. Perhaps we should all talk about it and clear things up 😂
Hi dear friend
How are you???
I am watching your video completely and trying to understand.
May I discuss your business with you for a moment?
Hi you can write me on nanayaa7171@gmail.com
Can I request your presence when I’m traveling I would love to come girl. I can only imagine.
We call people who want to touch kids weirdo's. Nobody should be asking to touch your child.I'm Scottish, live in East Lothian and have never heard of this.
lol 😂,right I get that .
Don't let them touch your baby girl. You know that's a no, no.
Are you black or African?
Both , why?
There are only 2 colours in Scotland..Blue and Green.
This will become the norm when more are forced on us and Scotland starts looking like London.
I pray it doesn’t lol
@Lewisdean22 Go live in London and give yourself a break from us.
@@sligobhoy8152 😂😂😂 no way Scotland forever , never living I am. A black Scottish ✌️✌️🏴
@@sligobhoy8152 I’m stuck on you like a tattoo 😂😂😂😂

Mind you you lot behave yourselves over there dont you?
Ay yo. Your lot? Come on man, join us in 2024 its nice.
@BrunchedInTheFace sorry spent too much time in London. Everyone I know is a victim of black street crime. Hopefully one day they'll realise thier popular culture in the uk and us is owned by racist Whites who go to the same coctail parties as those who own majority shares in the prison industrial complex. #CottonFields2.0
Balony...the scots have no idea nor experience about or of large scale infiltration of non Europeans ..where are their ghettos ?as we're so called areas in earlier days ..it's all a novelty to them ,so they can afford to be magnanimous..it's consequences have not impacted upon them ...their culture and traditions have largely remained intact...I yield to none on my admiration of the Scots but this is moral showboating ...visit some our northern cities for a flavour of the future..and in the meantime apply some of this high minded tolerance to Catholics and the end of protestant sectarianism
@LewisDean.....You may have a point....But what it is I do not f**k*ng know!!!
Definitely not Scottish, why bother to make such negative comments.
Here's a Scottish term for you “Haud yer wheesht!”
Go away you have absolutely no idea about scotland clown. Alba shaor a nis
There's always one.
We keep getting voted in the top five friendliest countries on the planet. So glad it's been positive for you.
