Hey everyone! As you may or may not have seen, at this point I’ve been made aware of the total train-wreck that is my stats. 😂 I am super thankful for everyone trying to help me out, and feel free to continue giving me advice! I’ll re-spec whenever possible, take your comments into consideration, look into builds online, and take those numbers whenever the opportunity arises. I hope you enjoy the video! ❤
There's a steep learning curve, but you're doing great 😁 Sorcerer is a strong class, you'll be fine.
Technically you can play like that your defenses are paper thin though. Sorcerers are already pretty weak at defense this just increased that. I can see how that is confusing for a new player.
The thing that's not going to help you is the stats you want besides con depends on your choices.
Quicksave is your best friend. Whenever you do annoying stuff, like looting a room or finding clues, something you wouldn't want to do again after a game over, a quick press of F5 will save your progress until then.
You can also save during conversations or even during combat, but you can adjust the limit on quicksaves to 50, so that's really helpful XD
There are no wrong choices in this game. Only alternatives and their consequences 😀
I mean, if you want a lot of STR on your character, you could get Heavy Armor proficiency by multiclassing or taking a feat at level 4. That said, I know this video is old and you've probably already beaten the game. LOL
Shadowheart is not really racist: Gythyanki are at war with the rest of All living thing for domination.
So yeah, if you see one in D&D it's usually a bad sign. With all her attitude, Lazel is actually one of the most tolerant and social representent of her species.
I wish they gave us a quick new-to-D&D lecture at the beginning of the game, but I’m glad I got people like you educating me! Thanks!
@@fififemke Oh yeah that is desperatly needed in BG3. Sure there is a short tutorial style run in the ship but if the player have never played a DnD game before that tutorial section is extremely lacking in clear explinations.
Among githyanki she is considered extremely humorous!
Part of the reason they didn't use sliders for the faces is because everything was mocapped for the facial expressions and sliders would break that.
Oooh, that's interesting and quite reasonable! We're still a while off having both technologies working easily at once I guess 🤔
I actually read an article about this after uploading! Super interesting, and makes total sense, especially for a game this story-heavy.
@fififemke yes. Having your characters' expressions to things in the game really adds to the immersion.
Three quick suggestions 😊
1. Stop standing in and running through fire, it will burn you and then burn you again in the next turn.
2. If you try to use a ranged spell on an enemy that's right next to you, you will have disadvantage. This cuts in half the chance to hit them.
3. During dialogue, when you are about to make a roll, look towards the bottom and if you see "+ add bonus" click on that and add whatever bonuses you can to try to increase your chance of success.
These are amazing tips, thank you so much!
The Stranger Things guy was a Mind Flayer because the kids named it after the D&D monster they had fought earlier.
🥈
I love these types of comments! Bits of lore that helps expand my perception of the game, thank you @SwiftJustice ! 🙇♀️
@@fififemke Demogorgon and Vecna are also D&D characters.
@@wratched yup. They are classic D&D villains.
Miss Fifi, there's no wrong way to play, but some decisions make playing more difficult than needs be.

Wizards: we are so proud of her, for not dieing from 1d4.
😂😂😂
Dexterity and Constitution are actually very important to your class as they keep you alive and help you maintain your spells whereas Intelligence isn't very important for Sorcerers. There is a way to respec your character and change their ability scores, so just an tip for you if you end up having trouble.
🥉
Yeah I do think the game could give more of a pro tip for new players.
@@barcster2003 reading would solve the issue. she assumed rather than read what each stat does.
I definitely assumed too much here and seeing the comments I’ll have to re-spec. I did read what everything does (cut it out in editing), but didn’t quite understand how it applies to me. All good though! I’ll fix it when the time comes. 😄
Charisma instead of intelligence for sorcerers so they get better difficulty class bonus for their spells. This way the enemy needs to roll higher to pass saving throws against the spells.
In a combat turn your player gets: movement, action, bonus action, reaction and concentration. Try to use these each turn instead of just standing still. Magic using characters stay back and use ranged and ranged magic attacks. Warriors move forward to attack with melee weapons, Barbarians, Fighters, Monks, Paladins, Druid in animal shape are such Warriors. Clerics can move forward if need be, better used for magic instead. Look at a characters page to see what weapons and armor can be equipped. Another page can show your reactions, best to select the options "ask to use".
Explore everywhere, read everything, interact with everything and everyone. The rest will all fall into place.
You can use an XBOX controller and/or use the keyboard. I use the controller to stack crates and boxes. Both methods to move boulders, strength of 10 minimum to drag these boulders and obtain the item underneath it. Get a shovel to dig up buried chests. Save often is recommended.
It's funny because you could get away with low constitution if you had high dexterity or low dexterity if you had a high constitution. And you could get away with ethier if you got defensive spells like mage armor or false life. But, by having none of the above, you have managed to create a character with the defensive stats of the average starving peasant. (AC 10 HP 4 vs AC 9 HP 5)
Tbh, it's mostly the games fault its descriptions of the stats aren't the most helpful. They probably should have added a popup of some kind to tell you what stats are important for your class.
That would’ve been super useful!
Items such as nautiloid tanks and explosive barrels can be ignited for big explosions with firebolt, fire dipped weapons. Throw grenades is a great first round action. Before moving into melee range. You will get strong warrior ladies as companions, Human men using magic that stand back and finally a Rogue to open locks and disarm traps. You can mix and match for each area, or quest, to get the party you need. Go to camp to swap out characters. Press "M" for map》camp, once ready to depart, "M" leave camp to return to previous location.
Yay!!! I always love watching a new player come to this game this is definitely in my top 5 games of all time.
D&D is my Special Interest and I love that this game has introduced the world(s) of this game to new players. I’m super excited to watch your journey! ^^
I’m so excited to finally be exposed to D&D! So much media I consume refers to it, so many people play it, but I never had the chance to explore it myself. Thanks for joining the adventure, I hope you enjoy! ❤️
@@fififemke I am definitely enjoying the journey! ^^
You don't need INT at all as a sorcerer, your magick scales with Charisma. Having low DEX means everyone starts their turn before you and annihilate you first. You can respec that later though, if you so wish. Having high INT isn't all useless as you can use it for investigation and other stuff, but not as useful as high initiative. The ideal for a Charisma character (which is the best for main character as they're doing most dialogue) is max CHA, 16 DEX and the rest in CON, dumping the other stats,
*And Shart (Shadowheart) is right though her racism isn't baseless, the gith do suck and are infact dangerous to all other races they deem inferior (everyone else).
Quite ballsy to make a main character with only 5 hp. Constitution is quite valuable, especially for casters. Casters are fragile. Having a high CON makes them less fragile, it also makes them better at maintaining spells that require concentration.
For a caster, I usually go for +16 Dexterity, +14 Constitution, and then +16 for your main spell-casting stat. In your case that would be Charisma. The last couple of points are free to spend, some wisdom would be good for wisdom saving throws.
Well, she decided to attack the Mind Flayer that was basically defending her, balls is the only thing not missing from this playthrough XD
YO are you saying everything else is missing?! 😂
@@fififemke Should have said "not missing AT ALL", sorry XD
I’M GLADDD 😂❤️
For Sorcerers, I’d usually go 17 Charisma, followed by 16 Constitution. Sorcerer is also a great choice for the main character due to their high charisma and ease of use. Wild Magic tho, err, is certainly….bold.
Woohoo! I am a lifelong Tolkien fan, and I graduated into tabletop D&D in the late '80s at age 11. ( No secret that I was a nerd!) As an adult I became obsessed with Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, which really felt like they had all the possibilities of tabletop D&D in a single player package. Also the setting of the Sword Coast (on Faerun) is always fun. (Check out the "Honor among Thieves" movie if you haven't yet!) I have not yet had months free to swan dive into this game so I have avoided all spoilers until now. Looking forward to this!
I’m so happy to hear you’re into D&D and BG! I hope you’ll enjoy this adventure where I discover both these worlds. ❤️
Just some friendly advice, BG3 rewards intelligent, thought out gameplay. You are rushing. Take more time to explore everything. Also, become an expert loot goblin, it will help. Learn what to keep in your local inventory, and what to keep in your camp chest. One tip I wish they gave you immediately is hold left Alt to show all environmental things that can be interacted with. Good luck and have fun with the best game ever made!
Thank you for your tips!
The environment and topography can be used to your advantage. Ranged attacks from a higher position. Fire and water to help you damage the enemy. Utilize your companion's strengths to make the most effective fighting team. Hirelings can be hired to fill any gaps in your play style. Everyone gets a ranged and melee weapon.
That’s actually a great detail, that it’s possible to use topography to your advantage! Many ways to strategize, I love it.
huge tip, if your gonna be looting like crazy, might as well have multiple backpacks/bags in your inventory in which you can then organize stuff in your inventory by using those backpacks for certain things, so you know, to keep stuff tidy.
Also you can Right Click things you can interact with for more options. like a locked door to start lockpicking it.
Also don't be afraid to make a lot of saves just so you can retry on Dice Rolls, but if you want to just live what you get, then by all means, do so.
Great tips, thank you! 🫡
dont forget to search everywhere for chests and treasure
No wrong choices in BG3, just alternatives and their consequences
Well, attacking the Mindflayer standing between you and Commander Zhalk could be considered wrong even in BG3. 😂
The reason you can't do anything after someone helps you up after being downed is because you used your action to stand up, so all you have left is your bonus action and movement.
A new player to this great game...welcome
So Dexterity as a Sorcerer is your second most important attribute, next to Charisma. Whereas Charisma affects your spells and spell power, Dexterity governs your armor class. You have access to Mage Armor, a spell that can increase your armor class. Armor class determines how hard you are to hit.
12 Dexterity is +1 to AC, 14 is +2, and so on. Each extra number is one extra number the enemy attacking you has to roll to successfully hit you.
You made a fragile, dimwitted and clumsy Sorceress and I am absolutely adoring it. She will be a monster in combat, just need her squadmates to keep her alive.
It will be challenging. But it can be done.
17 Int 8 Wis isn't dim witted it's intelligent but naive.
LOL at your description of my Sorceress. 😂 I’ll find a build guide and fix her as we go! Thanks for your tips! ❤️
I would say Constitution is slightly more important than Dexterity as a Sorcerer, as it helps you maintain Concentration. It also helps the squishy spellcaster not die as quickly.
Intelligence is borderline useless on Sorcerer, Dexterity effects your armor class so having an 8 makes it much easier to hit you
How exciting for you! it's a big learning curve from other games but once you get the flow it's so amazing and endlessly replayable. Have fun!
Thank youuu!
@@fififemke Of course! Can't wait to see where your journey takes you.
I had to scream together with you on the tadpole insertion scene XD
But yeah, saying that BG3 has "some D&D elements" is quite an understatement. It teaches a lot about the world though, so maybe it's even better than the first two games at introducing new players, especially with the turn based combat that makes everything much easier to understand. Except combats with lots of enemies, I wish there was the possibility of pausing the game during enemy turns just to understanding who's moving and where XD
As a first time player you should IMO play on story mode, game play is just as good and only reduces the tediousness of the combat. But you can still die doesn't make you OP.
Also dialog choices using your race and/or class usually give better or at least more interesting answers.
Hovering over bracketed dialog choices will tell you what the bonus will be to your roll if there is one.
I like a bit of a challenge, so it’s all good! I actually really enjoy the combat, just takes a little bit to figure it out. 🤗
wild magic for your first playthrough is an incredibly bold choice, i'll give you that.
all things considered you did pretty well--you even showed me an alternate way to open the pod without the rune!
Thank you! Glad to hear I managed to show you something new. 🫡👏🏻
remember to level up your character, you already can and a tip, the choices you made in your attributes were pretty bad lol, but later you can change them
Love the attacking of allies lmao
HIS SYMBOL IS GREEN FEMKE. GREEN FOR FRIEND!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
“… that old movie?” I feel attacked…
😂 The way I categorize movie age vs human age isn’t the same. It’s like calling a 10 year old dog old vs calling a 10 year old child old. To me, anything before +-2000 is “old”, bc it’s something from my childhood and/or the movie has an older feel to it, like how 90s movies always have that type of “cozy filter”. Alien 1 is from ‘79, so that’s definitely a classic for most millennials!
@@fififemke I was just teasing :). I’m old! I would have been 8 when this released.
@jed70 You’re only as old as you feel. The older I get, the happier I am. I grew up with a (amazing) mother who’s scared of aging, which is why I’m sensitive to the word old, as it’s always been used as a bad word growing up. You’re of similar age as my mother (born in ‘68), and I wouldn’t dare call her old, so you’re a young lad in my eyes! 😂✨
@@fififemke haha! Enjoy BG3! Out of the crazy number of games I’ve played across the decades, it is the only one to date that I loved so much I played it again right away, as Dark Urge. Only other one I’ve played twice was Skyrim and that was 10 years between play throughs.
@@jed70 My ultimate favorites growing up were Spyro the Dragon and Tekken, I’ve played those countless times! Aside from that, never played a non-MMORPG that I’ve repeated- also bc I never played much else than MMORPGs. That’s actually also a big reason why I started this channel, to see what’s out there and what I missed out on! Have a great Saturday, and I hope to read another comment from you soon. ❤️
This was really fun to watch. It reminds me of when I was first learning to play D&D. The good news is you got better as you learned the system. Respec'ing will help too, especially if you decide to add some constitution. I admit I giggled when you put yours at 10 because I knew how it would end up. Even now, after having played D&D for years I still learn things I missed in the game. I am over 600 hours into BG3 over my different play-throughs and just had three brand new encounters that I had never had before. I am glad you weren't discouraged from continuing to play. The character development and story are worth it. Some of the characters are more aggressive or abrasive and take a little longer to connect with like Lae-zel & Astarion but they all are incredible and have great archs, or not depending on how you play. That is the best part about this game. The choices you make have real repercussions. I accidentally let a character die in the first act of my first play through and didn't realize that it completely cut off a whole storyline and multiple quests in the second act. Looking forward to watching you play more.
There's tons of gameplay options that's the best part of this game.
I loved reading the story you shared, thank you so much. 🤗 I’m too stubborn to get discouraged quickly, even with 5HP! So strap in for a lot more of BG3. 💃🏼
Send the items you find but don't need now to your storage chest at your camp. Send your food to your camp, don't carry the extra weight around.
Found your channel for the first time... I feel like this will be very entertaining to watch. I love seeing the reactions of people unfamiliar with D&D discovering arguably the best game of the last few years. And now, something for my BG3 crowd (SPOILERS BELOW)

Appreciate your kind words, I hope you enjoy the series!
That was a great first session, I'm looking forward to the next 100 episodes. Just one word of advice: you are a squishy sorcerer, try to stay as far away from enemies as possible 🤣 It's not that Shadowheart is racist against Githyanki, it's just that they are kinda known for traveling the planes on dragons destroying civilizations. Don't worry, they will (probably) become friends.
Thank you so much! ❤️ Yeah, I was already a little suspicious about the 5HP. Turns out my suspicions were right. 😂 I’ll have to read more about the Gith! Thanks for the lore drop. 🫡
if you where to ask for race and class recommendation, id say Dragonborn, because dragons are cool (plus there is a mod that makes them hotter), and Paladin, because you can SMITE YOUR ENEMIES TO DEATH, plus heavy armor is pretty neat "Knight in Shining Armor" and all that. But its also an easy to understand type of class but its very popular choice (one of the top)
Ofcourse there’s a mod to make a dragon hotter. 😂 Makes sense that a more tanky class would be the easiest way to start off. Also, smiting an enemy to death sounds epic. I shall burn my enemies though. ✨💃🏼

So here's a fun fact about D&D the optimal D&D party which is (Fighter, Cleric, Mage, Theif) is actually inspired by The Golden Girls.
I love this!
So a show from '85 inspired game design in the 70's (not quite '74 as thief was a "late" addition, but at the very least, it was well established by '78)
Damn time travelers!
@@elana1463 it was the optimal D&D party as of AD&D (Second Edition).
@@DarksideGmss0513 It was optimal way before 2e was published. All 2e did was making it more obvious when they organized the classes into the 4 groupings (warrior, rogue, priest and wizard)
Popular memes don't create facts.
5 minutes of googling shows the supposed source as Mike Mearls. That guy joined WotC in 2005 and so was not involved with any D&D products before 3e.
(he was also just 14 when 2e was released, so clearly had nothing to do it in any form)
Githyanki v Mind Flayers isn't a Good vs Bad situation, its a Bad v Worse situation. Githyanki were a slave race to the old Mind Flayer (aka Illithid) Empire, so they've got some Psionic skills, but after they gained their freedom they pretty much immediately fell into civil war and despotism. They are an expansionist imperial force, led by a literal Lich Queen who has pretentions of godhood. The Illithids want their empire back, which means infecting more people, making more Mind Flayers, and mind controlling anything that isn't a Mind Flayer. Also they literally eat brains, and enjoy things like psychologically torturing people and pickling the brain so they can psychically connect to the brain to 'sample' their emotions over and over, forever.
Oh wow, sounds like they’re lovely people. 😭 I wonder if this is something the game will tell me, or if this is D&D lore. Or both! Thanks for taking the time to write this and educate me! 🫡
@@fififemke BG3 does play loose with some of the established D&D lore, but its fairly accurate to the written lore on setting. The game will definitely give you more information on both the Githyanki and the Illithids, even moreso than I shared. Its also pretty good at it.
It's a bit boring in the start frst few hours just keep playing - fun to watch!

I’m pretty sure I seen Dragonborn at some point when watching someone else play and I immediately thought of Skyrim 😅
If you had read up on Sorcerer more than just it potentially dealing more damage, you'd also find out that it is relying on the magic they are born with, using their force of personality (charisma). Let the silly wizards waste their lives with their silly books.
After charisma Dexterity and Constitution are second and third most important. Dexterity makes you harder to hit, constitution gives more hit points. The game even had set you up with ideal stat spread for a singleclass normal sorcerer.
Agreed, I was scared of spoilers though and wanted to go in completely blind. I see now that bit me in the butt. ✨
@@fififemkeFortunately you can respec in the game and you can get access quite soon if you find a way to unlock the door on the beach or find another entrance.
I already can’t wait! 😂
@@fififemke Can recommend draconic bloodline over wild when it happens. Wild is kinda silly and sometimes sabotage yourself. Draconic is just solid and at level 6 you get to add extra damage to spells dealing damage based on your bloodlines color. And at level 11 you can fly.
if you add sliders eveyonr will be one the chacter creation for an additional 10more hours
I've never played D&D, but I loved the (slightly cheesy) animated TV show when I was a kid. There's a lot of choice in character creation, and I think in the new edition, you can be something called a Dragonborn. Sound familiar?
The great thing about D*D is that your choices are only limited by your imagination, and I think Baldur's Gate tries to reflect that. The artwork is fantastic, I agree.
Every turn you take in D&D is like the "5 spoons" thing - you use up a certain number of spoons for every action you take per turn, and some are more spoon-intensive than others. It's why you can move only so far.
I won't comment too heavily on how you described the ship's doorways, but aren't you glad you didn't pick a male character? This was a fun video - thanks for sharing.
Yes theres a truckton of gameplay choice in character creation and yes you can be a dragonborn.
And thanks as always for your kind and thoughtful comment! ❤️
I look forward to more playthrough videos.
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching! 💃🏼
Welcome to Faerûn, lady. 😁
I love that you admit you don't know anything about D&D, yet when you're offered a recommended set of stats you decide you know better than the game and turn it upside down. 😂
FYI, a pure Sorcerer needs, in order of importance:
Charisma
>>>
Dexterity
>
Constitution
>>>>>
Wisdom
>>>
Intelligence
>>>>>>>>>>
Strength
The amount of ">" indicates how much each stat is needed more than the next. 😅
PS: Further suggestions for survival, besides "don't have abysmal Dexterity and Constitution": if you have only 2 HP do something about it before you go putting yourself in danger (potions of healing heal you), if you see fire on the floor don't walk into it, if you have only 2 HP don't walk through the fire, and if one ally is keeping you from dying by fighting a much stronger opponent *DO NOT KILL THE ALLY WHO IS KEEPING YOU ALIVE.* 😉
PPS: Yet another survival tip. Do *NOT* play the whole game at level 1. It will not end well. When you are given the opportunity to level up... please do. 😂
Objection here, while most things you wrote are valid, besides one point:
Intelligence is rather unimportant for sorcs. Sorcs use Charisma as their basic stat and aparticularly for their sorcerer Spells. So INT is rather unimportant. It is just used for the non-sorcerer cantrip(s), which is only one in the beginning.
I would go for CHA (16), CON (16), WIS (12+), INT (10+), DEX (10+), STR (8)
Hint: A little later in game, any character can be respeced if some stat distribution was not as good as expected.
Ahh thank you so much for writing all this down for me, this is super helpful and I really appreciate it! 👏🏻❤️ I tend to be stubborn indeed, as you may have already found out. 😂
@@What_do_I_Think
I feel like you read that wrong.
Ummm... yes, you're right, it *IS* unimportant. That's why I placed it near the bottom. 😅
And Strength is unimportant, too. That's why I placed that one *_at_* the bottom. 😅
The only difference being that saving throws and skill checks based on Intelligence are *WAY* more frequent (and *_slightly_* more vital) than those based on Strength.
And I strongly disagree on dumping DEX.
It's what keeps an unarmored (or lightly armored) person alive.
Ideally, *you want to survive.*
Let me try explaining again:
1) CHA - warlocks need this to function as warlocks
2/3) DEX & CON - (Austrian accent) come with these if you want to live
4/5) WIS & INT - frequent and somewhat important skill checks and saving throws
6) STR - dump stat for warlock, you don't use it for anything
@@happyslapsgiving5421 Now I understand your confusing notation, which is unnecessary complicated BTW. I was going by the ">" alone, not the ordering. And when I do that, INT comes out as most important stat.
About DEX: I did not "dump" it. I wrote 10+ which means, you can chose to put more into that stat. I discussed more about that in a parallel thread about CON and DEX.
The only thing which I weighted differently was WIS. Wisdom is the most used and needed saving throw in battle. Look it up. Without WIS, your DEX might not save you.
And no, WIS saving throws are NOT "unimportant". Think.
Tbf, for some unknown reason, the game always recommends a stat that’s useless to whatever class you pick be at a 12.
Lol 5 hp. Brutal. This is like old-school AD&D
I was so oblivious to the consequences I created bc I was too set on going in blind 😭
"Orcs...." Lae'zel: Tsk'va!
Ohh boy. Your sorcerer is going to be super squishy! No dex and all Intelligence and not maxed out charisma. Should be fun!
I’m lucky I got a party going, otherwise I’d be suffering fr 😂
@fififemke it's all good. You can get away with a lot less min maxing on standard mode, and eventually, you can re-spex your character if you think the stat arrangement is not working for you.
When I make non-charisma caster characters, I often put extra attribute points into Charisma anyway, even though it's suboptimal because I like my character to be the face of the party.
also there is some mods you can download if you want to change the angle of the overhead camera, and a mod that can make you use the WASD keys for moving if you want that rather then just clicking everywhere, of course these are all on Nexus mods but I did hear that official mod support will be added soon (if not already). you don't need to use such mods but it just feels more of what we are used to.
That poor girl. RIP. I can not wait for part 2
10/10 simple roast
you seemed to have missed a lot of the charachtercreation. you need to scroll down to get more options (with sliders)......
Your stat spread is wierd.
As a sorcerer you want Charisma, Dexterity and Constitution.
For most classes you want their casting stat, their attacking stat and constitution.
Right. I might put CON slightly before DEX; but I think, that is a matter of taste.
DEX is very important for Initiative and also for your Armor class -- thus avoiding being hit.
CON on the other hand is important for your HP but ALSO for keeping concentration and since the most powerful sorc spells are concentration spells, CON is real important for sorcs.
So, if you plan and manage to hold your sorc out of the fights as much as possible, I might choose CON, but if you want to go into melee, you definitively will need DEX (btw. going too much into melee with a squishy sorc is not the best of all ideas).
In the best of all worlds, chose high DEX AND high CON ;)
@@What_do_I_Think I aruge you need dex to not get hit. Obviously con is important as well. Health and concentration is good but sometimes it's just better to not be hit.
For the sorcerer the obvious best stat is the charisma for casting.
15 strenght and 17 intelligence but ignoring dexterity and constitution?? At least you can respec later
Yay! subscrivewd for Baldur's Gate 3! Let's do it!

Fun fact - in the menu, during the character creation IF you select an origin character there's an introduction videos which are actually competent at what they're supposed to do;
Introduce you a character without spoiling any important stuff...
And do not forget to enjoy yourself. 😉
Ahhh I wish I saw that! I’ll check the videos out on YT, thanks for letting me know! I had lots of fun already, even tho I apparently completely massacred my stats. 😂

One more thingie :P If a skill (like fire bolt) discription sais that means you can spam it since it will not eat any spell-slots, and you can keep them for something more importsnt.. like Magic Missile (That is not that strong at damage BUT NEVER misses! (only if there's LITERALLY an exception)🐒 Which is DOPE for a low lvl)
@@fififemke There are some very different definitions of spoilers/important stuff it seems. IMO the origin character intro videos are FULL of spoilers about their story and things they are actively keeping secret in game. The intro vids tell you things you will only learn after dozens of hours in game through getting to know your companions. I was very happy to see you did NOT watch them during character creation, as it is a much better experience IMO to let the story unfold as you play.
IF you play a pure Sorcerer without multiclassing into an other class then Strength + Intelligence + Wisdom is not necessary at all but actually a waste of points, those do nothing for you in combat..all your magic power comes from Charisma so max out that and additionally you can be the face of the party doing all conversations due to high Charisma...and max out Dex for high Armour class = 16 at least because Sorcerers can´t wear armour + you need a bit Constitution for concentrations spells = and you are good to go...
The reason why :
The Sorcerer doesn´t have to be the pack mule for your party so you don´t need strentgh at all.
There are 3 others in your party who can carry enough stuff..besides you have a chest in your camp to store things and everything which you´ll find can be send to the chest on spot at the very moment you found something to pick up (=right click on the item + choose "send to camp" and then in the camp pick everthing out of the chest which you want to sell to a vender. In order to go to the camp click the little round button right beside your "end of turn" button there you can also short rest in order to heal twice before you "end the day" in order to take a big rest in the camp ) so you might go with light baggage the entire time when ever you explore the world anyway.
As Elf you have also race proficiency in Longbow + Shortbow + light Crossbow + Daggers so high Dex is for that good to go as well..while for Quarterstaff + Longsword which you have race prodiciency as well you need Strength which you don´t have (although you might find one single magical Longsword at some time in the game which goes with Dex).
When your Armour class is high = 16 Dex or above then you won´t be hit that often but hits will miss so Constitution is for being hit not that much important, BUT for concentration spells (= either for buffing allies or debuffing enemies) you need a bit = so 14 Con in order to cast concentration spells should be enough for the start. Tip while speaking about spells : 2 spells from the start on are crucial to have = "Shield" + "Magic armour" the rest choose as like you wish.
Conclusion:
So 16 Dex + 14 Con + 17 Cha is all you need for a pure Sorcerer when your focus is foremost on casting damage spells .
Also 17 Dex + 14 Con + 16 Cha would be a very good starting build when your focus is more in using range weapons for delivering damage + buffing allies /debuffing enemies ..which ..in my humble opinion is the stronger + way more beneficial build for the whole party... at least for the start until you´ll get higher leveled spells = Tier 3 spells upwards which then do lots of damage.
A Sorcerer is not in melee range anyway but is casting spells from behind. So right positioning is always key for combat.
Disclaimer:
Don´t bother about your different stats now, you will have the opportunity to respec at any time during the whole game from act 1 early on after you have met a certain NPC who will join your camp..
Actually the game is designed to respec characters from time to time because you also will definitively might find gear here and there which makes respec very beneficial anyway not to say - even necessary - in order to get the full benefit out of the found gear...and I mean that for every member in your party and not just your main character.
This comment is absolutely amazing! I *really* appreciate you taking the time to write all this and help me out! This is incredibly useful, thank you so much! ❤️
@@fififemke May I give you another beneficial tip
Keep an eye on the game protocol which can be enabled with the button at the right frame of the screen almost on the bottom.
With a mouse over the text you can see every dice roll all your characters do during combat and outside of combat.
That will help you understand the game mechanics because every dice roll is shown with all bonuses like AC + modifier + potential buff-bonuses if they are buffed + debuffs if they are debuffed are listed.
Ooooooh Baulders Gate lol. I heard the series is great, buuut I haven't played it yet so I'm trying to avoid spoilers. I'll get back to this one when I do 🙂
Very popular game tho, should bring in some traffic 🚦
🥇
WOW you’re fast! 👏🏻🎉 No worries, I’m still super excited about Mass Effect and I’ll keep the uploads coming. 🫡 I appreciate you commenting anyways. ❤️ Not sure about the traffic, popular newer games are usually an oversaturated topic, but I figured it fits in with the Mass Effect story-type genre!
@@fififemke hey, hey, hey! You going to make me look like some kind of obsessive freak, jk 😆... It's a coincidence okay, I just happened to be on TH-cam 😶. This is about the hour where I start downloading all my videos (YT premium) to get ready for work to watch them, 3rd shift security has a lot of free time 🤷🏻♂️
@Ho11ow661 No no it came a 100% from appreciation that I mentioned it! 🥰 I’m still small, so these things make me feel happy and appreciated! ✨ I know quite some people in security, so I’m familiar with your struggle. Good luck out there, and hopefully I’ll see you in my ME comments soon. 🫡
its should be a basic knowledge to explore , read , and learn bruh ngl
Could you elaborate on where I didn’t explore, learn and read? Thanks!

@@fififemke bro ask for explanation and said triggered , Lord have mercy😂.
Why do you talk all the time?. There is really no need to "announce" evevery move you are going to make like "open door", "push", "use this" "click" "roll" "success"etc etc. Believe it or not, people who whatches these kind of video have eyes to see what you are doing.
I’m sorry if my narration offended you. Feel free to check out someone else’s videos, this is just the way I narrate naturally. 🤗
@@fififemke i'm not offended just annoyed and unfortunately i haven't found anyone who just plays and talk only when it's necessary (when he/she has to take decisions and explain the choice)....there are even worse playthrough, the ones from tiwitch, that''s why I gave this one a chance
