check out earl mooreheads channel if you didnt see..hes done a lot of tuning on the OG build and then hes starting to hop it up!! i want one too but they are pre-order again. this should keep me busy and help me learn a ton!! thanks for stopping by!
Yes you can. You def would want to find a belted pair and the softest compound. That’s why voodoo drag tires are still the best. Belted and have various degrees of softness for track temps.
Hello, These cars look to scale, the dragway is a scale 1/4 mile (132 ft) yet the speed of these cars is a scale 500-600 mph and running a 2 seconds elapsed time. Not even a real dragster runs that fast (yet!). Is there a RC drag race class that runs actual scale speeds (thus scale ET)? I’d like to see a class, say RC Pro Stock, running 7 seconds down the track. It might make it more competitive and certainly more enjoyable. Thanks
I think you want some slip so the tires can bite on each side when they want too. Either way I would pick a plan and stick with it so your not caught in a loop if things get wonky
@@hjdoogan5048 when you fully lock the diff you’re essentially putting all your power to the rear wheels. It can be a great thing if your tune is spot on. Having some slip in the clutch will help compensate for power management
I see no rules that say it has to be wheel driven. It's much easier to get >1:1 thrust to weight with a prop than it is with traction. Especially with those huge ass inrunners that can run at a couple kW
I want to download the rules but can't find them on Jeg's site nor did you give a link at the end of your article. I'm retired and bored in Ecuador and I have at least 150 hours involved in my search for them and now that you have shown me that they actually exist it appears that I'm the victim of a monstrously cruel joke "why does everything always go wrong for me?"
Lol... what happens once you hit 80mph on 2s? Lol you bap your car and your ego gets crushed. Lol the strong will continue because just like in real scale racing. Talk is cheap money talks while bull ish walks.. i try not to walk away thats why i talk shit. Feelings have no place in racing. Its a balance in between intelligence and instinct.. 2 perspectives that takes a life time to fathom nevermind mastering it.. i speak from a place that ive spent a little under half a million bucks. It would be interesting how the rc world deals with the giant egos of the racing world. Let the games begin! Who wants my money? Line them up!!
Really enjoyed reading the article on no prep drag. He really does get to the point explaining what it's all about.

Great videos, thank you for sharing all this info. Do you have a video on battery chargers or what do you recommend for a good dual ac/dc charger?
I use isdt chargers and there discharged to keep my batteries going nice and fresh.
@@Dorkyand40 sweet, I was looking at the ISDT P30 or the D2 but wasn’t sure.
@@Dorkyand40 thank you!
@@tyte90 then i just pick up a bigger cheap 4s battery to top off my batts in between runs..i cycle them at home since theres not enough time at races
@@Dorkyand40 awesome, great advice. Thank you.
iam just get in to rc drag racing and was wondering if you can use treaded tires in competition racing?

Cool info just started on mine.
thanks.welcome to the the money pit :)
Awesome and very nice vid subscribed
Thanks. More coming.

the nprc has a rules class for a 13.5T motor. they are around 45-50mph.
For the Futaba 7PXR which receiver do you recommend the R334SBS or the R334SBS-E?
i ran the e..smaller and no need for long range antenna with our drag cars. never had an issue
@@Dorkyand40 okay thanks.
@@Dorkyand40 or would the sanwa m17 be a better choice for the transmitter but get a different receiver?
@@Dorkyand40 and the sanwa is cheaper.
It comes with one of their air versions.
Earl is that man
He sure does a lot
That's cool
Does locking the diff good for drag racing
