Hello 👋. Kindly watch the video till the end. I demonstrated how the cowl sleeve should be fixed to the armhole.
It’s actually quite simple once you’re able to draft and cut the sleeve correctly.
You must cut it on bias and you must use a fabric that drapes very easily 👉 crepe, light weight jersey, silk etc.

@@oluwasegunajibola232 Okay. here are the steps you need to take to fix the cowl sleeve to the armhole:
      1. Hem the lower part of the sleeve.
      2. Overlock the 2 inches facing at the upper part of the sleeve.
      3. Fold the facing to the wrong side of the sleeve. You can baste it in place along the armhole. Then you should fix the armhole of the sleeve to the armhole of the outfit that you are making.
      4. Remember that I used just the cap of the basic sleeve for the cowl sleeve? So the original armhole is still present even in the cowl sleeve.

You have to decide first how far you want the cowl drape to fall. Elbow length is ideal - so measure from your shoulder to elbow.
Note that the implication of this is that you will have an opening on the sleeve from your shoulder to elbow.
Whatever value you get is what you will use to spread out the sleeve.
Follow the steps I described in the tutorial and it must be cut on bias for you achieve the drapes.
Your choice of fabric also matters. Fabrics that drape well such as crepes, light to medium weight jersey fabric, silk etc.should be used.

To increase the length, you can extend the middle line downwards - bearing in mind that the cowl drop also adds to the length of the sleeve.
