- ** I guess the Ideal 10 won't be back, due to the window that was cracked/broken from trying to haul the unit to the field that night. Atleast that's what I was told, so I ll have to do an Ideal 10 summery video at a later date because I didn't expect the combine not to return - after all, it still has Sally my Milwaukee greese gun! 😂 🤷♂️ 🤦♂️
** Once we get Ashytn's Ideal 9 back up and running, we'll move yet again - yeah I know, we move alot! 😂 🤷♂️
** Again, just another day at the office, and no.. We are not taking the time to change out the concaves, we are getting close to being done harvest 🙂

20% Lentis
20% Canola (havn't seen any)
40% durum wheat
15% chick peas...
And what else you might grow rye, oat, barley....

That was a pretty kool shot of the three combine's coming in simultaneously to load their headers on the carts. 100% at random, but 100% perfect timing. Couldn't do it again if ya tried. It looked almost like out of some "space" movie where ship's were coming in for landing...

Some evaluating remarks maybe on this years' harvest, on possible lessons learned? On what structurally to try to change maybe or continuing on the way forward? On soil treatment, seeding, fertiliser use, spraying, harvesting procedure, or anything else.. Just curious how it goes.. 👌👍

Best of luck the rest of the way on Harvest 2020 Mike and crew. We have 250 +/- acres of Canola left to go east of Calgary. But the weather is now a little bit of a fight. Hopefully we can get it.

Well Mike, ur the chillest guy when it comes to farm equipment that are broken down. Other farmers would throw there had on the ground and leave the combine or whatever it is standing in the field and leave it😂 but I love ur videos man, keep it up😁😁

Wouldn´t you rather have a rigid wagon t ocarry your headers? It wouldn´t weigh a lot more, but it would take the stress of the headers and make the transition a bit easier?

This is just my observation from watching any of Mike Mitchell’s videos. Mike runs everything to the max and does not spare the machines. You get a true demo from him and not someone trying to push a specific brand name.

was that Ideal 10T a demo unit...I believe it was....but AGCO must have been pissed off to hear that one of their new babies had a window blow out...when there's literally less than 100 of them in existence before they went into full production....not fun at all for broken windows

Hi Mike, 2 questions, have you ever forgot to combine a piece of land and have to back after you think you are done, second, you seem to handle stress well. Part of frame breaks on combine” oh well, wait for welder”. Do ever get” what next” with a bit of exasperation?

I guess it’s 60ft header but it’s unfortunately not hook up to T10 with extra hp would had been very interesting especially speed of combine. Is there any difference in speed with 50ft vs 60ft? in combine speed, is extra hp needed to help improve intake of crop?
I always thought that midwest fabrication were the only ones that made a 60ft header front but I was thinking the same that he'd gotten a hold of a 60ft honeybee
Garth Clement few years ago there was 60ft here in Australia, in southern NSW. It was no secret but finding combine lift n rams not failing with 60ft was not easy, I believe Claas could only lift that size but didn’t release type combine hook up to 60ft. Honey Bee separate n Australian local were trying build 60ft header.

@@jamieshields9521 there are at least 2 7240 and a 7250 case that I know of in my area of wa running those fronts and I think they lift them alright. Though I wouldn't want to be the guy towing the trailer. Getting through gates might be interesting

Please pray for the farmers in South Africa. Our farmers are being slaughtered. Farmers, their wives and children are being tortured. Our government is standing by and doing nothing about it. There is a political party called the EFF Economic freedom fighters that literally sings a song “Kill the Boer( white people), Kill the Farmer” . Last week they tortured and murdered another 21 year old farmer and then tied him by his neck to a pole for his father to find him. Please we need the international community to speak about this. Yeah, that's why. The chickpeas are 4x as wide as the grains.

General discussion Mike: is it just me or is there still a lot of belts and chains on modern harvesters. Could those not start to move to either hydraulic or even maybe electric and replace some belts and chains with higher reliability mechanisms?
You can't get any more reliable than belts and chains And price is nothing in comparison
The most expensive belt on the combine would be $1000 at most
$1000 hardly gets you the smallest simplest hydromotor, let alone all the hoses at valves you need with a hydraulic system

All going well most belts will last 2 thousand hrs
On a machine that really only lasts 5 or 6 thousand hours
They also have the handy capacity of slipping if something jams rather than tearing up gearboxes or shafts
Hydraulic motors tend to just keep turning wether the final component wants to turn or not doesn't bother them
