Android Authority Sorry Josh but you are wrong, the oneplus two is not the first phone to have usb type C, the LeTv phones had it first, and they are the first phones to have usb type C!
JBC Jackson Yup, it's so enticing to upgrade but there's no point considering my OPO is still in great condition and works perfectly. Time to wait for the next iteration.
The OnePlus One is an incredible phone. 64 GBs are a perfect size, I still have 10 GB left and I've been using the One for ~ 8 months now. I also have NO problems with the speed and performance at all. I can download every game and run it, no matter how new they are. The camera is good enough, the only problem I have is the battery since mine seems to be broken (only about 2-3 hours SOT). For 299€, I can't imagine any other phone performing this good and I can't wait to get my hands on the 1+2.
I was a oneplus one user for a total of 6 months until my best friend wanted it so bad I had to sell it to him. Now I'm just waiting for your full comparison to help me make up my mind to buy a One, or the Two.
I just purchased the one plus one and waiting on delivery. I think the one plus one is an already great phone and I can't justify stepping up to the newer model. You can also purchase a one plus one without an invite and will cost you like $80 less than the one plus two..This was an easy decision.
2 things OnePlus should've put on the 2 for it to be the "It Phone": expandable storage, and NFC. The former would be nice if people can inky afford the 16 GB model, and with Android Pay coming very soon, why would you omit something from your predecessor?! CDMA support could've been cool, but mainly GSM networks really would benefit from unlocked devices across the board
I'm surprised that OnePlus never included a Micro SD Card Slot to expand memory on the OnePlus 2 as it would've been so much more helpful for people with a lot of data.
Knight Squire James Oneplus One users like me, blamed a lot about the One camera position, because youre always blocking the camera lens with the finger.. thats why they heard the users and lowered it. It may be not be that good looking, but definitely more useful.
NIGHTHOUND Go I think OnePlus implemented thermal throttling or something in their phone which lowers the clock speed, in fact Antutu benchmarks shows that it scores the same as the original.
I see , but if they limit the clock speed , during day to day use will it lag ?,thats the question ,.for all u know they can suppress it to 1.1ghz . i will avoid it till the 820 chip is out , that means the z5 too .
Narendra Narine Don't feel bad it's still an awesome phone, I've been using mine for 10 months now and will probably use it for 10 more unless the 3 comes out before then.
Nice improvements (besides lack of Cyanogen) and still a nice enough price given those specs, but not such a quantum leap for me to ditch my OnePlus1....
Cyanogen (the company) is terrible when it comes to frequency of updates. The community driven side is still a lot better and should always be what you use if you are comfortable with flashing.
I agree don't even hold your breath for updates from oxygen os. This is a great phone if you root and flash roms, but the google phone has more roms and updates faster, which is why I'm so hesitant.
The volume rockers could have co-existed on the same side as the notification slider. Wellp, personal tastes! As a OPO owner, having the camera on the top of the phone does affect handling of the phone while taking pictures horizontally. The OPT might have a hideously located camera module but like Josh said, handling should be much better. We might change our minds and decide that it actually doesn't look that bad once we look at it long enough :)
They didn't discontinue the OnePlus One now did they? The $299 price for the 64 GB model caught my eye. Only other competition at the price is the Zenfone 2, but the One seems better all around
you have the antutu benchmark installed on your oneplus two...so why don't you test it...i was waiting for the scores,,...please reply me with your antutu score
Oneplus two camera also uses larger 1.3 um pixel vs the 1.14 um pixel used in the oneplus one. Which should in theory allow the camera more light to get a better dynamic range and better low light performance
when you get the one plus two review unit can you do a comparison between one plus 2 and the moto x style? id like to see them side by side to compare size.
Happy with my One Plus One, I don't think there's any point buying this upgrade. The OnePlus2's software is boring without CynaogenMod. I dont necessarily want to pay for a newer and heavier phone with marginally more power, slower battery charge and no NFC. BTW you can increase the speed of your one plus one by going into Developer options in Settings and changing your windows animation and Transition animation scales from 1x to x.5 and you will immediately notice your One Plus One get twice as fast when navigating between apps etc.
A terrific upgrade for someone with an old phone; but for oneplus one users I cant see any reason to upgrade (unless your the sad type who validates yourself by having the latest model phone).
Just curious. Im thinking of upgrading to Oneplus Two from Samsung Galaxy s3. Any thoughts? Beacuse i really wan't to make a noticable upgrade. Thanks!
I'm hesitating to buy a OnePlus. Now I'm a little bit stuck on choosing between the 1 or 2 ... Is it worth to wait for an invite for the 2? Or should I buy the 1? Android Authority ? :)
Doesn't look like a 'must upgrade' phone. Negligible improvement from the OPO, so I'm sticking with mine another year. Pretty disappointing really...But on the up, has saved me some money!
I don't really see a reason to upgrade. Yes the hardware improvements are nice but in terms of real world use the difference will be negligible. The screen is still the same, no improvements to battery life despite running a way more vanilla ROM, and camera improvements don't seem groundbreaking either (OIS is nice tho). Maybe I'm missing something but this seems just like a OPO with a fingerprint scanner.
mikecantreed And you're right, it's running stock Android it should be getting more OST than the first, instead it gets an hour and half LESS which doesn't make any sense to me, unless it's the crappy 810 that's doing it.
TheMusketITuckedIt I'm really stuck I have a nexus 5 which is really good but the battery... It's so bad I would be lucky to get 2h or so screen on time which is a abysmal because I use my phone for social media twitter WhatsApp etc and TH-cam, would it be good to get the one plus one of two Im not really to bothered about speed difference as both are too quality however if one phone has a better screen on time than another id choose that any help is appreciated
You also forgot that the OnePlus Two doesn't have NFC, yes, that might not be of much concern for most but for me that really was THE turnoff next to OxygenOS and the stupid second sim instead of extendable storage. EDIT: the USB-C type is still USB 2.0 right??
On the one you can get the same camera performance if not better as the 2 if you install oxygen and install cameranextmod. The firmware of oxygen is much more optimized for the one than cyanogen. At least for the camera. The one will only lag some low light performance.
had the oneplus 2 for three days, was not impressed.I traded my used note 4 to get it.Sold the oneplus 2.It's pretty much like having any moto x or g with stock android feel. All Google apps yadda yadda....Facebook would crash, you have to sideload an older version in order for it to work.No theming like Cyanogen, cant customize led notification light flash rate, lightflow app wouldn't play nice with oxygen os either.Couldn't think of any reason to keep it.What a letdown.
I'm going to get a phone soon but I'm not sure if I should buy the oneplus one right now or wait it out for the oneplus two. It will be my first phone and I don't have a phone yet so I'm not sure which to get.
Oneplus two is certainly could be one of the greatest phone but surely isn't as Flagship killer as it's predecessor was at its time, as an iPhone owner I yet to see anything that can kill S6 edge. That being said if Oneplus two can retain all it's spec and make a 4.7" model, they'll have all the market to themselves.
mike white You forgot the non existing front facing speakers... why can't ANY manufacturer just design a good looking phone, with all those features (may be over the top, but awesome and A LOT of people would buy it). As long as the price is below 700$ it will be bought. Like srsly it can't be that hard.
Khanin the Uhahkian Maybe he's referring to the 1080P display, or only about 5 hours of screen on time on a charge. Then again, USB Type-C, a finger print scanner, and a 13 MP camera with OIS kinda cancel out that statement.
Dangerzone No thanks. I love my beautiful smartphone the way it is. If it were this cheap Chinese smartphone, the OnePlus 2, then I'd have no problem dropping it. It would probably look better broken. 😄
Dangerzone that's fine. You can believe whatever helps you sleep at night. While I enjoy my Galaxy S6 edge, you keep trying to get lucky on those free giveaways they do. Have a nice day. 😄
If u say OnePlus One instead of OnePlus 1 u should also say OnePlus Two vs OnePlus One its not good to say OnePlus 2 vs OnePlus One i think who thinks like me?

Android Authority Sorry Josh but you are wrong, the oneplus two is not the first phone to have usb type C, the LeTv phones had it first, and they are the first phones to have usb type C!
Aaron Kaz Sucks for OnePlus, they clearly were trying to be the first company to offer it in their phones.
Aaron Kaz "the LeTv phones had it first, and they are the first phones to have usb type C!"...
I'm gonna stay with my OnePlus one for another year/18 months.... Phone is still serving me well after one year!
JBC Jackson Same, I think I will wait til the Oneplus 3 as my Oneplus One still works fantastic for me.
JBC Jackson Yup, it's so enticing to upgrade but there's no point considering my OPO is still in great condition and works perfectly. Time to wait for the next iteration.
JBC Jackson WHO ELSE GOING TO THE NEW YORK MEETUP ON FRIDAY??
***** I live in England... Can't do that shiz..
JBC Jackson too bad... i live in new jersey me and my friend are going im so hyped
OP 2 is facing tough competition from the Moto X Style and Moto X Play. A head to head battle for the 'flagship killer title'
not at all a bummer! why QHD to sacrifice battery life for something that is barely different to average human eye ...
Yan Luo agreed, QHD is like a novelty which smartphone companies are using to justify their smartphone price.
Yeah I agree
Yan Luo have you been wathing LTT? Becouse i totaly agree
Benjamin Macdonald LTT?
Yan Luo linus tech tips
Is it just me or does the One look better design wise ?
It does, I don't know what got into them, but the one indeed looks better.
+usermissing I disagree, i think the metal at the side makes it look alot better, also the camera on the oneplus one just seems too high up...
great comparison AA!
OnePlus should've waited for the SD 820... The next Nexus flagship is rumoured to feature a 820.
Can't wait for the next Nexus
I can understand for the price.
Syahmi Samri 810 is enough for me, just wishing for the great battery life.
Ko Ryan just under 5 hrs of onscreen time. 2 days if no heavy usage. I say its great for a big screen with full hd 1080
Ko Ryan The 810 is good on paper but in the real world it thermal throttles, that's one of the reasons why people want to see the next SD SoC.
OMG ! THE ONE PLUS ONE 2 THE BEST SMARTPHONE 2015 Android Authority

so fast and updated ha? thank you AA!
4GB of RAM is insane no lags whatsoever, great exactly what I needed.
As a current owner of a note 4 I can say that quad hd screens make no sense on a smartphone at all.
I was a oneplus one user for a total of 6 months until my best friend wanted it so bad I had to sell it to him. Now I'm just waiting for your full comparison to help me make up my mind to buy a One, or the Two.
id rather have 1080p screen because it will make the battery last longer than if u have a QHD
but if you have a bigger batter it wont be such a proble
They did it again! Really awesome phone!
It would be nice to make it available in Brazil!
The finger print scanner sort of screws up the flatness of the device. I wish it would be more blended in like without that little outline.
Jin Wei See Toh Idem. I love the look of my Oneplus One when its sitting at my desk with the screen off.
Did they make the LED bigger?
I just purchased the one plus one and waiting on delivery. I think the one plus one is an already great phone and I can't justify stepping up to the newer model. You can also purchase a one plus one without an invite and will cost you like $80 less than the one plus two..This was an easy decision.

CDMA support could've been cool, but mainly GSM networks really would benefit from unlocked devices across the board
I still have the OPO and i think its going to last me until the Oneplus 3 comes out.
Can you use the other sim slot as micro SD slot?
No
Khalid S. Mizyed that sucks!
64gb should be enough for most users... Especially for the awesome price
Khalid S. Mizyed but, extra storage is always good.:)
Khalid S. Mizyed awesome...100eur more then the oneplus one doesnt look so awesome to me....
I'm surprised that OnePlus never included a Micro SD Card Slot to expand memory on the OnePlus 2 as it would've been so much more helpful for people with a lot of data.
oneplus one looks better the the two. Like if you agree
Tru dat
samiyas100 I thought i was the only one thinking that , thanks :D
Nope. OP2 looks orgasmic.
Kartikeya Dhagat op2 looks good but.... That camera position.....WHY
Knight Squire James Oneplus One users like me, blamed a lot about the One camera position, because youre always blocking the camera lens with the finger.. thats why they heard the users and lowered it.
It may be not be that good looking, but definitely more useful.
The big question is, will the "new"sd 810 v2 overheat ? Does it still clock at the same speed as v1
NIGHTHOUND Go I think OnePlus implemented thermal throttling or something in their phone which lowers the clock speed, in fact Antutu benchmarks shows that it scores the same as the original.

Can you also use this phone with 1 SIM card or do you really need 2 SIM cards?
Thank you OnePlus for making me feel more assured of my OPO, now I'm definitely not upgrading till the 3rd iteration.
How long could you expect the OPO to last if buying new now? I don't play any games, so I am not the most heavy user, will it last at least 2 years?
Man, I just bought the OnePlus One 3 months ago and I really want the OnePlus Two!
Narendra Narine Don't feel bad it's still an awesome phone, I've been using mine for 10 months now and will probably use it for 10 more unless the 3 comes out before then.
Yeah, I'll probably do the same.
Nice improvements (besides lack of Cyanogen) and still a nice enough price given those specs, but not such a quantum leap for me to ditch my OnePlus1....
Phrancis5 spot on
Phrancis5 exactly what I was thinking. Going to stick with the opo running blisspop and will wait for the new nexus but I'm in no hurry to upgrade.
Oneplus 2 is just another average phone by a cheap chinese brand. :(
Cyanogen (the company) is terrible when it comes to frequency of updates. The community driven side is still a lot better and should always be what you use if you are comfortable with flashing.
I agree don't even hold your breath for updates from oxygen os. This is a great phone if you root and flash roms, but the google phone has more roms and updates faster, which is why I'm so hesitant.

I think I'll keep my one for at least another year.
See nothing other than fingerprint to upgrade. Still loving my Oneplus One.
One Plus One equals Two
Oneplus two equals 3
Anurag Kanoria one plus three = four
Have I registered for a maths class?
One plus 3 to the power of 999 = unidentified
***** According to google, the answer is "Infinity"
For how long are they selling oneplus one phones?
They didn't discontinue the OnePlus One now did they? The $299 price for the 64 GB model caught my eye. Only other competition at the price is the Zenfone 2, but the One seems better all around
***** You won't regret getting the One. Zenfone isn't for me cause of the cpu it uses.
What are the storage options?
you have the antutu benchmark installed on your oneplus two...so why don't you test it...i was waiting for the scores,,...please reply me with your antutu score
Dude how much it scores on antutu?
I love how the name Snapdragon 810 was avoided in this video. "A 64 bit processor"
Trevor Allen LOL
TheMusketITuckedIt ikr!
no quick charging /wireless charging
No NFC so no support for Android Pay.
and WTF - 16GB version come on?!
Oneplus two camera also uses larger 1.3 um pixel vs the 1.14 um pixel used in the oneplus one. Which should in theory allow the camera more light to get a better dynamic range and better low light performance
So im confused, can the one plus 2 be charged with a micro usb cable as well?Such as the samsung galaxy charger cable.
No, but if you have a USB 2.0 to USB C Port, yes
Can I know whether oneplus two has heating problem as it has 4gb RAM?
And nextly whether its battery longs for a day on 3g use?
I hope OnePlus includes NFC in the OnePlus 2 before its released to the public
usb c doesn't improve charging. Its as slow as normal and definitely slower than QC 2.0
What should i buy the oneplus one or two? And why
So is the OPT really worth the extra money?
when you get the one plus two review unit can you do a comparison between one plus 2 and the moto x style? id like to see them side by side to compare size.
guys,is there any easy way to get an invite for the op2?thank you
Want that wallpaper!!!
Is cyanogen mod still updating its software with the oneplus? I don't feel like waiting for an invite for the two, and I could save almost $100...

I'll keep my OnePlus One. It's not worth to upgrade and the One is still an awesome device
one plus one is now 250usd should I get it or the oneplustwo
I thought the 2 was supposed to be smaller than the One. They look identical in size.
The omission of NFC is really bothering me.. but the magnesium frame is so sexy.. what to get???
would you guys get the one plus , galaxy note the new one or galaxy 6 plus
Just curious. Im thinking of upgrading to Oneplus Two from Samsung Galaxy s3. Any thoughts? Beacuse i really wan't to make a noticable upgrade. Thanks!
does it supports nfc and otg...........
Exactly the same look of phone in rumors.
LeTV Smartphone is the 1st using USB type C
there we go !!!
The Home button looks like a pain in the ass on the one plus two, good thing I use on screen buttons on my One Plus One, can't wait to get the 2
If I think about it. It might actually be a good idea to buy the One Plus One right now :)
***** Why? the oneplus 2 is only 40 bucks more
***** go ahead, it's still a great buy, this phone has been amazing for the year I have had it.
*I HAVE TO GET THE ONE PLUS TWO NOW*
Does the phone gets heated?
Ponugoti Vivek Check out MKBHD's first five impressions video, and yes it does get pretty heated.
One plus one still worth every penny. The Cyanogen is a better deal then the 2.0 oxygen, basically because of the customization.
Pretty disappointing really...But on the up, has saved me some money!

mikecantreed That's because it is. OnePlus got lazy like all the other big name companies and just gave us the OnePlus 1.5 instead.
mikecantreed And you're right, it's running stock Android it should be getting more OST than the first, instead it gets an hour and half LESS which doesn't make any sense to me, unless it's the crappy 810 that's doing it.

Which one would you buy OnePlus one or OnePlus 2?
antutu score??
I'm going to get a phone soon but I'm not sure if I should buy the oneplus one right now or wait it out for the oneplus two. It will be my first phone and I don't have a phone yet so I'm not sure which to get.
Mrnegativecomments For your first phone I'd consider getting the much better Moto X Style, or the One since it's $50 less than before.
never a mention on battery charge. in all these videos. if true the 2 will be charged in more than 3 hours!
Cristiano Adiutori It is according to some early reviews of the phone.
how is it even possible to beg a company to take my money! i hate their invite system and I'm in such a need for a new phone *sigh*
those specs at that price just kill other flagship phones. nice
Joey Leoncio Madanguit Nothing compared to the Moto X Pure imo, it's this years true "flagship killer."
Should I upgrade to the Two from my laggy ass S3!? Is it worth it?
If you have an s3, upgrading would be worth it no matter what you get lmao
***** If I were you I'd get the Style, it's more future proof and feature packed.
Letv was the first to the market with usb type c not the one plus.
i like the onplus one's design more than the two's
Oneplus two is certainly could be one of the greatest phone but surely isn't as Flagship killer as it's predecessor was at its time, as an iPhone owner I yet to see anything that can kill S6 edge. With those specs? How cant it be a flagship killer?
And for half the price?
Joseph Griveas p.s. : More than half the price!
***** It's a great phone, no doubt it.
No fast charging capabilities for the type C unfortunately.m
One plus ONE looks much better.. One plus TWO looks cheap from behind, that camera is just too low and wide to look nice...WHYYYYYYYY :( :(
One A2005?
I dont own a Oneplus, but would i be stupid if i'd buy the Two over the One, only because the camera?
Is anyone going to be using the OnePlus Two on Three?
1+2=3 half-life 3 confirmed.
*The Flagshipkiller!*
mike white You forgot the non existing front facing speakers... why can't ANY manufacturer just design a good looking phone, with all those features (may be over the top, but awesome and A LOT of people would buy it). As long as the price is below 700$ it will be bought. Like srsly it can't be that hard.
Nice phone... If it were 2013.
Michael Consolo and you're a butthurt fanboy. 😄
This fucking moron! This is the dumbest Bs i heard all year
Dangerzone that's fine. You can believe whatever helps you sleep at night.
While I enjoy my Galaxy S6 edge, you keep trying to get lucky on those free giveaways they do.
Have a nice day. 😄
Its not the 1sr phone to have type c
Letv one is the first phone to have usb type c.
Well it works with Sprint I herd the one plus one doesn't
cant wait for AA giveaway of this phone!!!
Why the fuck do you need 1440p in a phone??? That would cut the performance in half!
Still good video
ima get one someday lol. wait for a few months then see reviews then buy one lol.
If u say OnePlus One instead of OnePlus 1 u should also say OnePlus Two vs OnePlus One its not good to say OnePlus 2 vs OnePlus One i think who thinks like me?
