I had a thought. In The Shadow of the Valley is the last song to play before the radio cuts out. The lyrics are sometimes considered a cowboy's dying thoughts beneath a night sky. I'm sure plenty of people have already picked up on this, but this must be foreshadowing for the travels ahead. It lends credibility to the idea the Courier is heading into an afterlife, whether or not he's actually dead. I don't think he's dead, but he is certainly going to Hell.
What makes you think it's about someone dying? Don Burnham wouldn't have written a song like that. It's a sweet song celebrating the beauty and nature of the west.
This does sound like an interesting concept when it comes to a story about The Courier getting shot in the head and was left for dead on the grave, then was brought back from the dead to get revenge. Do kind of love how this video series is supposed to be The Courier descending into the afterlife

I'm not sure if this is the intentional compression effect, but when night falls, there are no stars in the sky. It's just a black, lightless void. I've tried everything short of booting up the game again to see if the base game has stars in its skybox and I'm legitimately unsure if the barren night sky is intentional or not.
Reminds me of how I used to play as a kid. Just march in any old direction and mess around along my way and I think that’s what’s great about the series. Just the air of casual inquisitivity. i think the flare gun is a dlc weapon(?) and in the dlc its used to scare away tunellers, which i think count as an abomination. I don't know if it scares away other abominations though.
MJOHNSONVER???YEDGSHCH is such a good fucking questline. Honestly better than the mainline story of Fallout: New Vegas. Bethesda couldn't even do something like it even if they wanted to.

This phenomena doesn’t really happen often anymore. It isn’t Morse code, though. That sound used to scare the crap out of me as a kid, so it is creepy for me to start off the videos like that.
Reminds me of a Mount&Blade Warband mod called "Explorer". It adds bigs maps you have to traverse that are mostly empty save for some animals or (mostly hostile) NPC's. Pretty unnerving sometimes, especially when it's foggy and you have no idea what's on the current map WITH you.
This feels way too uncanny to me.. I've gotten my hours of this game.. like twice I've played but this just feel....wrong. like you where not supposed to see. either way i wish there where more things like this like the concept of a arg of fnv is bloody cool. :]
I just spent the whole day exploring the out of bounds area, saw the true edge of the map and the space ship up close but couldn't find any of the things in these drbosch videos... I was using a maxed out character at the end of the game with all dlcs and quests finished so loaded a lvl 1 and got it past the boarder and the ran out of solar power and computer died - i really hope the radio tower and buildings are there for the lvl 1 when i have more power to play again.

I wonder why there's a TDMA sound at the beginning of each video, TDMA being the cell phone noise that would interfere on speakers back in the early 2000s. These usually occurred before the switch to 3g, so early 2000s phones.
I've definitely heard that noise much later than the early 2000s, it's entirely possible to hear that around the time they played NV, depending on what hardware they have in the house

Iv explored alot to it has to be fake I tracked almost the entire video down to their exact POI’s and nothing was their, its either fake or only on the super old version of the game or sm. Idk.

Yeah, my old speakers used to do this a lot, it took me a moment to realize that sound was from the video.

If you listen closely during buzzing there is a faint chorus scream heard unless its part of the buzzing
