I've always wondered...who decides the positions of the flight attendants on an aircraft?

With my company we bid for the positions that we would like to work. If you don’t bid for a specific one you are awarded whichever is left over 💕

I believe some other airlines you pick at the gate or the pursuer (“lead”) flight attendant will pick the positions.
