The brazing coil is too high. Your chill line is too far back. You have an embrittled shoulder unless you temper after brazing. The "side teeth" are strob (pronounced strobe) bars named after Stroblinger, the inventor who was a Weyerhaeuser engineer back when they had a tech center in Federal Way.

D2 or A2, depending on application. The teeth are a special grade of ultra fine Boron sintered Tungsten Carbide.
