I quit watching when the crappy AI voice said lead instead of L E D lights. And besides I grew up in a 57 Belair. Born in 57 my dad bought one in 59. It was in the family for 19 years, it was what I drove to high-school. And another thing that 2025 version looks like crap.

If this is for real, GM may as well file for bankruptcy. It's a grotesque amalgamation of 55 to 57 body styling. It 😢looks over thought and overdone, like apple pie that is trying to be angel food cake. It's a gross frankensteinian clump of mismatched parts. The original was simplicity and elegance. And what's up with that high roofline extension to the trunklid?? The car looks unbalanced, awkward, even silly. And a 4 cylinder engine? What a colossal waste of chrome and paint. Even if it was $3500 dollars, I wouldn't be caught dead in it. 😢

I’ve watched a bunch of these AI generated “2025 fill-in-your-own-classic-car-name” videos. Some are laughably crude like this one. Some are more sophisticated and almost believable. As AI gets better it will become increasingly difficult to tell reality from lies. This perhaps is not so important regarding new cars. But for politics and health and economics and other really important things the possibility to manipulate public opinion and in turn public policy is frightening indeed. If these stupid AI car videos have any value at all it is perhaps to warn us of the very real dangers of AI that are coming very soon.
