Thanks for sharing. Really cool. I work as a network admin with some basic cybersecurity duties. I was thinking about using HTB to learn maybe SOC or Pentesting.
Dude I had to 2x speed to try to get over what I thought was the intro discussion just to find out the whole video is about stories and unrelated conversations
I agree with everything here :) But what i don't really like is the uncertainty about when you pay a expensive course if it will actually be valuable in the job market. I struggle to get my high school degree but i have been doing I.T my entire childhood as a form of escape & passion. I started at a really young age fully focusing on hacking as a escape that makes me feel happy. Anyway the thing is i can finish every single cert with no problem, BUT i cannot sit in a schoolbank and listen to yapping about Math or politics. It's a really bad flaw in my personality, but it's keeping me from having a job in cybersecurity. A legit question i have is if i pay for a course like the official pentest will it actually be like a degree or will this be completely irrelevant?
I understand your perspective. The short answer to your question is yes. There are plenty of Cybersecurity professionals that do not have a degree. They did it and so can you. Id recommend getting as much practice as possible on HackTheBox and aiming to obtain practical certifications. I recommend getting ejpt, CPTS and OSCP. Also, attend Cybersecurity conferences to get to know people in the industry.
I agree that beginners are overwhelmed with EVERYTHING. Even all the TH-cam channels out there supposedly teaching ethical hacking? Like how you sound on your videos, much better than me "and you look better too LOL" but I have to LOVE anyone that is helping people learn cybersecurity 4SHO. My channel is from a totally different view that "ethical" but still very valuable as the channel is not even a month old and has blown up. But keep up the good work teaching.
Ciao, provo a risponderti io. Comunque devi sapere l’inglese in maniera fluente.
Understood. I try to find a pace that works for absolute beginners. I have faster paced courses as well that you might like. Check out my Hack The Box CBBH prep course: th-cam.com/video/I2eAlDdMdJM/w-d-xo.html

I'm brand new to HTB and I'm also about to start online college for Cyber Security. Which path should I start with first on the academy?
That is awesome that you decided to pursue Cybersecurity. On HTB Academy I recommend you start with the Information Security Foundations path
For sure. Fundamentals first.
