This is literally the video I wanted to see. I want to start prepping for OSCP, because I will get it for free from my company. Wish me luck and thankyou so much Alex & TCM Sec
Love love obsidian Starting point is more than impressive; it helps you begin to build repetition and get your feet wet by the time you make it to rain. Your first actual box will be a piece of cake
Obsidian is very good. Personally I use "Scrivener" for my note-taking, it's very good but it isn't free (one-time payment model). It was made for writing novels so it's very powerful but a tad esoteric to learn.
Yes this is good approach to solve DNS resolution issues, even If u can't resolve then there might be possible that firewall rules were blocking traffic in the network level or the machine would not have been well configured
Definitley late but for anyone else wondering. It takes about 2 hours to try out htb and upwards of 2 years for a degree. HTB is not representative of what most cybersec professionals do but its certainly worth trying before you choose a major.
Alex has a few - he also created our Practical Web Penetration Tester (PWPT) and Practical Junior Web Tester (PJWT) certs. academy.tcm-sec.com/courses/author/1728995

Incredibly useful video with great resources as usual. A massive assist to a beginner. Thanks!

I was just thinking about it , and I got ur video 😂😂 so I am taking it as a sign 🎉🎉❤
Thank foe this. Always good to hear about other ideas from other hackers
Who hacked your beard bro
🥁 😆
Would you say directly learning from Hackthebox labs is good? Or do courses along side it. If so, what courses would you recommend.
You got me hooked on HTB now. 😂
i am following your 15hr video. Will i be able to solve hack the box after my completion of that both videos?
One thing I found confusing is DNS problems with boxes. I added them to the etc/host file . Is this the proper approach or did I miss something?
It's the etc/hosts with a (s) on the end.
@@FootballSeagull yeah sorry meant hosts file. It's working, but I am wondering if that's actually the recommended approach to fix the DNS issue
Yes this is good approach to solve DNS resolution issues, even If u can't resolve then there might be possible that firewall rules were blocking traffic in the network level or the machine would not have been well configured
This is the proper approach. This is how they set up almost all of their boxes. You have to add the IP to your hosts file.
Yeah I’ve had trouble when running things like gobuster to find subdomains
Love your videos
Thank you Alex ,, can you make short video how you make lab of bug bounty , on Kali . thanks
I was just looking for this kind of video. Thanks again and keep up the great content!
Also nice shave heh
Would you recommend to try this before I try to get a cybersecurity degree?
