You couldn’t be more clear!!! Thank you!!
Excellent overview. thinking of entering the field and this brought a lot of clarity!thank you.
What an awesome explanation and so simplified..thanks mate
Wonderfully broken down thank you
Hey Dan! I´m Rocio from Cordoba, Argentina. Thank you for this detailed explanation, It is really useful to me because I´m starting a master degree in monitoring clinical trials and often i get a little confused with all different names: CRC, CRA, etc. I would like to apply for a study coordinator job, but in my current city I think that is complicated. However I will try, and in the meantime I will continue learning from your videos. Thank you!
Hi Dan, greetings from Poland, thank you for your good job
thanks for watching
Hey Dan ! You are doing a great job . Thnx
Thanks so much
Thank you Dan, I like your unique channel 👍🏻
thanks, means a lot!
Very simple and straightforward
thank you
This was very useful for me. I ve been preparing some job interviews as a CRA, and this is the clearest explanation about the differences between a CRC and a CRA. Actually I don't have any experience of the CRC, so I ve gotten lots of questions like "Why didn't you work as a CRC first?". I'm still looking for a CRA position, but I just started to consider working as a CRC for 1 or 2 yrs now. Anyway It was so nice. Thx.
+HN E im very happy to hear. Yes crc is great entry point.
As a newbie in the clinical world thank you for videos like this.
Jennifer Jiang thanks for watching!
Excellent video
Thank you Dan, That was really helpful.
thanks for watching
Hi Dan. I have been interested in starting to become a CRC and your video really helped me understand and decipher the difference between CRC and CRA. Could you give me any advice on how I can land an entry position as a CRC? You’re feedback would be great!
Thank you for this information. Starting an internship as a CRC soon. Excited to finally start my career.
Welcome
Hi you are really good, am in clinical field as clinical data manager . Keep your good works.
appreciate you
Thanks a lot for this.
Like from Ukraine! :)
As a CRC, I've never seen an opening where you didn't need a bachelors. While it may not be required across the board, it would be really tough to find something without one.
It's also longer before you can get certified.
Jess Mays ive seen quite a few but you are right it is tougher without
2018 a different story
I am a CRC and I only have my associate's. I too work on studies with Pfizer.
I have a bachelors in science with no clinical experience and I’m trying to break into CRC role any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks a lot.
QUITE IMPRESIVE AND VER MUCH USEFUL
Thank you
Thanks
Thanks for the video, where do we place Research assistants in the clinical research network?
Really its nice..& this is very helpfull for me
Thanks very much
1st thank u for reply ..sir plz some guide for how to go clinical reaserch field & career
Fantastic video!! Please could you link me to the video where you discuss in detail (2hrs) what clinical trials coordinator involves ? Would be really appreciated. Thanks.
yes on my channel just look popular uploads and you will see it
@@dansfera Thank you!!
A PI must holds an MD or doctoral-level degree (PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, DDS or equivalent degree). It's incorrect to imply only physicians can be PI's! My 1st PI was a DVM and my 2nd a DNP. As a 3-yr CRC working for Emory U and holding a PhD in Public Health Epidemiology, I love being a CRC... Thanks
tth715 yes exceptions occur but not the norm
thank you! in korea CRAs workload taking 10sites for 3studies (non onco) still makes QoL difficult.
Sean Bayley whoa!
OMG
Hey Dan! Thank you for the video, its great info. I am working as a Research Coordinator Associate currently and only responsibilities I have is answering phone calls and data entry, surveys and scheduling. also worked as CR support Coordinator as an intern where I did TMF assessment, that's about it. I have a Masters in Clinical Research. Now how do I grow? all other jobs require exp of protocol handling, monitoring exp, and others which I do not have. Please advise. Thank You.
Just answered in my working in vs working on video which will be up soon!
Hello Dan, thank you for the video. Other than CRC are there other roles that require a bachelors/masters, are entry level and provide patient interaction? I am recently graduated and would like to work with patients to gain experience and apply for PA school. So far I am applying to any CRC position that has patient contact but not sure if I should broaden to other related fields as well.
Try research Assistant
Hi Mr. Dan , I really appreciate the way you presented the differences. I am an x ray tech and I want to be a CRA. I want to do a bachelor , What bachelor in science is more preferable to get hired. 🙏.
Any
Hi, thanks for your videos, very useful. I have a question, do you know about Clinical Research Fastrack Program? What do you think about it?
Thank you!
GALINY GOULOIS no opinion. I have an academy and we work hard to focus on that.
I feel surprised that recently saw some CRC openings requiring college or high school degree only ... I have a Bachelor's degree so I hope I can get a chance there !
You will
Out of curiosity, if you take on independent contracts, would you need to have your own business set up at that point? I would love to see a separate video on that.
Its probably best to do that but not necessary. I’ll do a video.
Dan, if you are an RN, is it likely to get a CRA job without CRC experience? Thanks
Great video! What is the difference between a clinical research management certificate vs masters?
No idea
Hi I have a bachelors of science , project management certificate and a pharmacy technician certificate I recently obtained. I’m trying to break into the field but have no experience and so far all the job specs I’ve seen need some form of clinical experience and I’ve even considered looking at working as a phlebotomists.
What advice can you give me and if you could make a video on how to break into this Role without experience- maybe talking possible volunteering options or how can can even get some experience. thank you

Thank you for doing a awesome job! I am just a new graduate with a master degree in pharmacy. To apply for a job as a CRA, I have already participated in several GCP and CRA training courses. I wonder what else courses or experience should I have? thank you!!
You need real world experience preferably as a coordinator or in house cra
Great video. I'm a rookie so it might sound stupid question to you but how do you compare Clinical Trial Manager with CRC and CRA?
Same fundamentals different contexts
Hello Dan, thank you for this video, it's very educational. I just graduated with a BA in Education in May 2019. Im currently attending school for my Masters in Healthcare Administration. I'm interested in Clinical Research and wonder if my Masters in Healthcare Admin will help me? Also I've been receiving information about Clinical Research Fast track programs. Are they ligit? Do you recommend them? If so, which one is best? This would be my first time getting into Clinical Research. Can you please advise me which way to go please? I just subscribed to your youtube chanel, would love to see more of your videos, they are very good. I'm glad I found it!
I think my CRA Academy is best of course! Most of our students go on to first get other research jobs before CRA. A masters is great but you need experience which my course gives. You wont be disappointed
Dan Sfera where can we find your course ?
What prerequisites do you need before you can become a CRC?
None
Thanks ..it was pretty much clear n focused.
I am holding M.pharmacy (biopharmaceutics) degree and currently appearing for online based clinical research course , so as per your explanation I think I could search for CRA entry level position. As such my previous experience is diverse like pharma marketing n pharma asst.professor but as I shifted to other country after marriage it was difficult for me to find out pharmacy job there.
Can you suggest me whether it would be better for me to start from entry level of CRA.
I am polishing my knowledge through your video's.
I am looking to get a position as a CRC and this video began to prime my mind for what it is like to be a CRC. This video peelef back that first layer from the mystique of Clinical Research.
I'm a new CRC in Turkey, I have a question. I met with the doctor who runs research. Do I have to visit Pi Regularly every week like sales representatives or should I wait until pi get in touch with me? Thank you.
what are you trying to accomplish?
Accomplish? If you're asking which stage are we at and what is the objectives of the study. It is randomized double-blind Placebo-controlled study. We are at the beginning. No participant has been selected yet. Besides what I m trying to ask is, you mentioned in the video CRC work directly for the PI so should I pay a visit to PI regularly even if I'm not called.
Yes do whatever it takes (within the law) to get the patients interested. Follow up!
Dan Sfera Thank you.
Dan, can a career as CRA be used toward ultimate career as a medical liaison?
Yes but liasion need to be pharm d usually
@@dansfera Thank u for responding. I have an MD but no residency. Is laison role possible with MD?
hi dan ps i just graduating from medschool in europe how can i become a principal investigator?
Yemisi Palomeras apply 🤷🏻♂️
is this possible to eTMF specialists switch to CRA position
Yes
Hey, I am working as a Data manager in India. I have two years of experience in this field. CRA and CRC is my dream job. I studied MSc biochemistry. Please guide me how to prepare for interview and which country is best to work in clinical research field. Thank you.
Pooja B I dont have much experience with India but CRA could be possible
What is the difference between Clinical Research Associate VS Clinical Research Administrator?
Depends on the company and job description
Hey Dan, I need your help on how cra application. How would I contact you?
just email
@@dansfera I text you, because couldn't find your email
Are my chances of getting a job as a CRC low without any experience in the field?
Depends on other skills
Does the CRA need to know the local language?
Yes
What are the requirements for CRC and CRA hire? Is there some exam certificate? Can I be hired as a CRC just like that? Like what are they looking for in a CV/Resume?
Are there part-time jobs for CRC?
I am an International Medical Graduate (US citizen) aspiring to get into Neurology Residency, so I want to publish research papers in adjunct to a Physician.
I have no prior research experience so would being CRC help me in any way . Do CRC get credited in research papers? Are they the same as Research Assistants?
Does Clinical Research Training Program have anything to do with CRC or CRA or are they for entry into PI?
Hired just like that
Crc on industry studies do not but you can connect with people now to collaborate on papers. Look up the desci movement on twitter
White board sync with students brain😊
What do you need to be a crc
A site to work at
Don’t know anything about this topic, but seems to me the CRC is getting shafted at 36k. If it’s entry level than why is their role so pivotal to the study? So much so you called it the backbone, literally it’s what supports the whole body. Yikes!
🤖
$36k to $55k is more accurate... clinical research coordinators are NOT earning $100k
Oh I do know a few! It’s nit common but theyre out there
