Darth Plagueis reveals here that he was the mastermind behind ordering and purchasing the Clone Troopers for the Clone Wars. He was the one who pitched the idea to Sifo-Dyas and used him as a scape goat should anything go wrong. This is awesome!
Of course, this is legends and not canon anymore, so keep that in mind.

If Mace comes back it creates a whole load of narrative problems to satisfy some fanboy requirement which ultimately will fail to meet fanboy satisfaction. That's the problem with building a story around a fanboy demand - it's got to have a *reason*. Luke's post Last Jedi appearances have been, let's face it, to wipe out the stench of Last Jedi's character assassination. That's a fanboy want that has a purpose that can be used to build stories - let's examine what led Luke from badass to old moaner.
Mace coming back... well his death sucked. Ok you bring him back and what do you do with him? He's yet *another* Jedi running around - I guess Order 66 and the Inquisitorious both suck huh, if they missed Luke, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Cal, Cere, Kanan, Ahsoka, Quinlan Vos, Grogul, Maul and goodness knows whoever else is running around. So much for Yoda saying Luke was the last of the Jedi.
And it makes a mockery of the thematic thing of Mace's death being what takes Anakin to the Dark Side.
I see no value in bringing back a character who's arc is done, had a purpose, and went out after essentially kicking Palpatine's butt.
Also, I happen to think getting hit with UNLIMITED POWERRRRRRR isn't a bad way to die at all. 😃
@Scott Moore I don't want to say too much about Luke right now for... reasons... but in regards to Mace.... he can't really come back as a Jedi. There isn't an order. Only Yoda and Luke in one part of the galaxy, and Cal, Cere and Maren in another (and I think it's safe to say their story might end badly since they don't show up to help the Rebellion).
So that leaves a wandering ex Jedi or Dark Jedi. Dark Jedi is too predictable and overplayed. Cut off from the Force? We've got the Mantis crew and if you cut Mace off from the Force, what is he? A preachy old guy who can't lightsaber fight any more and doesn't have a hand. Wandering ex Jedi... where's it gonna go? We've got Ahsoka already. I just can't see myself getting excited at Mace coming back. I don't agree with but I understand the fanboy reasons for wanting to give him a different death, but there's an argument to be said that nothing is ever good enough.
Now do I want to see more Mace? Sure. Give us more stuff pre Clone era or during Clone era. I'm happy with that.

The whole Plagueis novel should just be canon, it was a perfect back story. I was highly satisfied with the way they handle the Sith plot, Palpatine’s rise to power, the Clone Wars... even Dooku! It was perfect!
If I could choose one thing from legends to remain canon it would defiantly the Pagueis novel
it would also make a good movie. get Sam Mendes to direct it, he did well on Skyfall spectre and 1917. He has the skill to do it right.
If they were to make it canon they'd have to change a few things such as Palpatine adopting Maul as a baby from a worried mother

The reason it was taken away from canon was because disney plan to make content around that story. Plagueis is palpatine a master. It’s in ROTS and even if people wanna say palpatine made it up in rots, it’s in the novelisation of rise of skywalker....plaguies is canon. Removing that book allows them to make their own series/movie/book/comic about him.
I just hope they don’t change too much. Some changes are fine by Me. Just let someone who knows what they’re doing like filoni sign off on whatever changes they make to the novel.

If I could only have one Star Wars movie backed up it would be Revenge of the Sith because it represents what Star Wars is to me most. Fast-paced lightsaber battles, funny and emotional moments, love, and betrayal. Sure the lines can be corny and the CGi is overused. But that doesn't matter to me! It's just a fun movie! And you can't deny that.

It's the Avengers: Infinity War of Star Wars' Skywalker Saga. In addition to the sprawling battles taking place on different worlds and the wealth of Easter eggs that tie into each canon's respective lore, somehow you think the good guys can still win even though you know they won't. And the primary villains of each movie are two of the best antagonists that Hollywood's delivered in "genre" movies.

The one movie I would back up would have to be Revenge of the Sith. It is my favourite star wars film. The fight scenes are so iconic and I love how dark it is. It is also the first star wars I saw in the cinema when I was age 7 and I remember it vividly. It made me fall in love with star wars. I had a crush on padme, I wanted to be obi wan, but I wanted to have anikan's hair 😂 tried to grow it out but it didn't work

The Clone wars animated series introduced one of the best characters in my opinion (Ashoka) and it explored in a deeper way Anakin’s inner struggles and his complicated, yet really friendly relationship with Obi-wan
I would back up The Empire Strikes Back, because I think it properly portrayed the fact that not all battles heroes go into, come out good for them. And there’s a lot of plot points. Such as Lando Calrissian, and owing Han, which results in him becoming a part of the republic. And that Luke finds out that Vader is his father. Which is big in the next film.

This is where the fun begins
Before they revealed the canon Sifo Dyas backstory, I always thought a cool twist would have been Sifo Dyas WAS Darth Plagueis... that the Jedi had been THAT blind that a Sith had infiltrated the Jedi Order... and when Obi Wan referenced Sifo Dyas’s death, it coincided with Palpatine killing him in his sleep.
That would have been interesting. But Plageius was a full dark side user so it wouldn't have fit his character.
Probably Force Awakens. It's just the movie i enjoy the most. And not only that, it was the first star wars movie i watched in the cinemas.

Yeah and since 2005 he's been known as Dooku. It makes sense that Plagues funded the army with his money but the timeline doesn't. It could be fixed with a simple "Plagues had payed for the equipment and the training regiments, now we just needed the perfect candidate."
Darth Plagueis is seriously the wisest, cleverest, most epic Sith ever. If he and Palpatine had teamed up as Plagueis planned, they would have been truly unstoppable.

Before he did he asked Vader if he wanted to know of his downfall. Something eluding to his son. But before he could finish I believe the Jedi was killed by stormtroopers. Darth Plaguis is a genius but also a truly sick, sadistic guy who did experiments on animals and sentient beings in the name of science and his own life extension. He was also extremely wealthy. All of these details fill huge plot holes left when you try to imagine how the clone army was dreamt up and paid for - there's no other logical explanation based on present canon info for how it could've been formed.
I really want a plageuis live action series. His story is so fascinating

Everyone’s trying to win the giveaway, and I just want to talk shit about Sifo Dyas, because that’s honestly a point where Lucas and co should have been told, “No.” Inserting another faceless side character into the mix needlessly complicated the plot of AOTC even further, and it just makes no sense in the context of the universe.

How practical that you can buy yourself a clone army with a "small downpayment".
Well, if a Jedi Master is coming to you, asking for an army for the Galactic Republic, you won't ask for a high interest rate. The Republic is the single best entity in the known galaxy to be able to downpay any debts. It's like General Motors getting asked by a burocrat from the DoD if they would produce thounds of tanks for the US Army, with the difference that this company sits on the far side of the moon, so noone notices anything.
I tried once, but they suggested I try Experian Boost, first.

I personally would back up all seasons of Star Wars the Clone Wars. Watching them with my brother and father was the way i learnt to read and i have a lot of great memories from them. i remember being in kindergarten and playing with Clone Wars legos and waiting to go home and watch them again.
It would be The Clone Wars! Love how it expanded on the clone wars, we get to see Anakin and Obi-wan's relationship grow, the clones are given character and we get introduced to Ahsoka!

That’s a hard question but I’ll try, if I could have one star wars film backed up it would be between episode 3 and episode 8 (unpopular opinion). I chose these because I absolutely love Kylo and Anakins respective arcs in those films. My two favourite Star Wars character being the two best things about my two favourite Star Wars films. Anyone who paid attention when watching Attack of the Clones knows that it wasn't Sifo-Dyas who commissioned the clone army, it was Darth Tyranus / Count Dooku. Yes the Prime Minister of Kamino said it was Sifo-Dyas, but when questioned about it Jango Fett said he didn't know that name, that he was recruited by a man named Tyranus, that would be Darth Tyranus A.K.A. Count Dooku. It was also established later when Obi Wan contacted the Jedi Council while he was still on Kamino before he fought Jango Fett that Sifo-Dyas had been killed some time before the clone army was commissioned which means that Count Dooku / Darth Tyranus commissioned the clone army while posing as Sifo-Dyas.

I think both ideas about Syfo Dias would work...keep the Legends conversation...then Syfo has a vision later which convinces him that the Republic will need an army....then Sifo goes back the Master Damask to get the money and off to Kimino he goes.
I think it should stay in. As a casual fan myself (I've just seen the movies) it helps explain A LOT of holes that were made in the prequels. Especially the Order 66 one which, from a storyline perspective, came from no where.
If I have interpreted the question correctly I would like to have the original star wars clone wars series backed as I liked the old animation style and the different stories it told.

If I could back up only one Star Wars movie it would have to be The Empire Strikes Back. To me it's the greatest movie of all time. We get a much closer look at Darth Vader and the aura of absolute fear he creates among his subordinates, the introduction to Yoda as he teaches Luke (and all of us) the ways of the force; and the development of Han and Leia's relationship. The movie has an incredible climax, with the duel between Luke and Vader. The cinematography as Vader is revealed, waiting for Luke atop the staircase is outstanding. The whole duel evokes a kind of horror I don't think Star Wars has been able to replicate since, of a predator toying with his prey, and of course the reveal at the end.
It also has my favourite movie score ever from the amazing John Williams, from the introduction of the iconic Imperial March playing during the reveal of Darth Vader's massive Executor, shadowing the other Star Destroyers; 'Snow Battle' as the Rebels desperately try and protect their evacuating ships, the theme of 'Yoda and the Force' as the X-Wing is lifted from the swamp, the love theme 'Han Solo and the Princess', and of course the score during the chase through 'The Asteroid Field' which gave me goosebumps as a child and continues to this day.
Among all the ups and downs, I truly love Star Wars and Episode V is the biggest reason why. #BackupWithLaCie #RunWithIronWolf #Giveaway

My favorite Star Wars movie is definitely Revenge of the Sith, but if I had to back up one movie or series it would have to be The Clone Wars. It has so much content and has a great rewatchability factor (if that's even a thing haha).
