I know I said that after the last video the PS5 comparisons would begin, but I did not remember that the Halo MCC patch was released for Xbox Series today. I promise that in the next few hours and until Monday you will have more than 25 videos focused on comparisons with PS5. Regarding this video, we must clarify certain things. The Xbox Series version runs at 120fps by default (no 60FPS option). Unfortunately, I do not currently have the necessary tools to measure framerate at 120FPS, so I apologize and promise to get on with it as soon as possible. Series X runs flawlessly at 2160p resolution (except Halo 2, which drops to 1800p at times). Series S however the high framerate means that it does not exceed the resolution of 1080p. I think 343 should have given a 4K / 60FPS option, as Series S is fully capable of running it like this. Both consoles have seen their drawing distance increased, approaching the PC version in that sense. @@Napster60 well to be honest I am usually very observant when it comes to game graphics but i couldn't tell any difference between any of them apart from load times. don't make out there was somehow vast differences and we are too stupid to see them because there wasn't. maybe if I could stream 4k on my internet i may have seen a resolution difference between the images but that would be all. oh and obviously the older machines have some fps dips that the new machines don't but image quality wise they are the same.

I been playing on pc with everything maxed even the extra stuff on the video card itself i cranked up to the max i wonder how it compares cause its insane on pc.
They did a great job with the visuals in Reach by getting rid of that nasty motion blur from the 360 version. Even on the base Xbox one it looks really good.
On Series X you have to boot the game with the console set to 60hz however, or the game defaults to 120hz and you won't see the option to change FOV in the menus. Also halo CE FOV doesn't seem to work if you play online coop campaign. Works fine in solo. Not sure if this affects other titles but I have played halo 3 and the FOV works fine in online coop.
I upgraded from One S to Series S and wondering if I can get improved graphics playing, e.g. Halo. If MCC campaign is now available in 120FPS, can a Series S do this at 1440p with a HDMI2.0 connectivity?
@@sinakiani4026 I believe series s is at 1080 and 120fps. And you don’t need hdmi 2.1 for that. HDMI 2.1 is only needed when you want to play games at 4k 120 on the series x.
I honestly couldn't see a spectacular difference until the Halo 2 footage at the end. yes, it looks ALOT smoother, specially during the more "action filled" sequences were the computer's processor has to work a little more. but is it worth 500$? Honest question because I'm still on the fence.. leaning toward nah, save dat money
Graphics are nice but what is most important is smoothness of play on a good resolution. To me 1080p at a better fps is better that 4k at a lower fps. I've been gaming for over 30 years and choppy gameplay no matter how good it looks sucks. The Xbox series s is awsome at 1080p and so far older games on the series x look and play amazing at 4k.
@@jasonrobert3849 that happens whenever you have an HD-TV that is geared towards a certain resolution, so if you go from 4K to 1080p, for some reason 1080p looks worse than if you have a TV meant for 1080p. i think it's mainly due to the fact that 4K is 4 times the pixel rate for 1080p. i remember when early 720p flat screens used to look pretty bad on standard basic cable stations that an older 2000's TV's did a better job of, it's why when we first got our first flatscreen back in 2007, basic TV stations looked pretty bad. so we ended up keeping this old 25inch Magnavox TV from 2000 that were gonna replace our brand new 32inch Flat-screen for, but since my dad wasn't much of a gamer, we used it for watching TV. they got better once the networks started going more HD so it can match the resolution of your screen, in the past TV's were used to standard resolution, if you wanted a little bit better quality 480p on certain tube TV's was the only way you were gonna get it. Sony was the last to make a tube TV, and that was 2004. by 2005 most manufacturers were starting to make flatscreens. but i remember some people didn't like them at first, when i first got a 360 in 07 i was still using an old 20inch tube TV that was in my room at the time. so going from that to my first ever flatscreen which was a little smaller than my parents in 08 made a world of parents, however i was used to gaming on old tube TV's, so while the picture was alot nicer, it took some getting used to playing on a flatscreen. Halo 3 on a flatscreen felt different than what i was used to, now it's second nature. people now a days all about buying the biggest screen, me I've played on a 60inch it's not a big deal, but i tend to go no bigger than 46.

I have been playing video games since 85. Almost all systems have passed through my hands. And I'm a proud owner of an Xbox one s ... I didn't need more. This console has been a grim beast when it comes to graphics. And one of the best ever in terms of performance and functionalities. Too bad Microsoft had announced it so badly in the beginning.

Not really possible. I think the internal drive is encrypted. You could use a sata ssd via usb 3 which would be an improvement from the HDD but not nearly as fast as the NVME SSD in the XSS/XSX

Do you have Saints Row 3? If so I think this would be a great comparison. A lot of people saying that and Saints row 4 now runs super smooth one Series S & X. It has quite bad framerate issues on Xbox One & One X.

Oof now i see what they meant with One X performance issues. It looks like a Vsync bug because it sometimes just locks at 30fps. Funny enough, it also happens in the 120hz mode in SX/S, but it locks to 60fps sometimes when its supposed to play at 120fps
Playing 2 anniversary on the one X could be rough. I often changed to the og graphics because the frame rate would tank in big fights and areas. Especially ones with with alot of see through stuff and lights. And you could tell the resolution was tanking. And it still ran bad and had horrible screen tearing. Really hope that's not a problem with the later game one series X

A pesar de que Xbox series S es más eficiente que una Xbox one X, no veo la ventaja más allá de los tiempos de carga de los SSD. Son las mismas versiones de los juegos, creo que habrá que ver en los juegos más nuevos haber cómo van, por que realmente esto es tan solo retrocompatibilidad incluso van igual en Xbox one X que en una series X en esta más estabilidad en algunos casos pero no tienen nada nuevo respecto la versión anterior. Depende de las zonas, cantidad de enemigos, explosiones, ese tipo de factores son diferenciales para aplicar correctamente los 120 fps, normalmente los mantendría sacrificando la resolución, puede ser dinámico de 900p hasta 1080 dependiendo de los factores que recién expliqué.

Xbox series consoles have larger FOV it looks like is that adjustable or non
The new update does indeed include FOV sliders for both first person view and third person vehicle view

The 120fps patch is available for the series X/S if you got an hdmi 2.1 plugged in but they seriously need to add that fps tracker on console.

1440p @60fps seems to be the standard benchmark for the series S. Which is perfect given it's hardware is slightly less powerful than that of the X.

I have a high end 4K TV though and when it’s 1080p I can definitely tell because everything is slightly blurry

Watch on your TV not your phone and make sure you are watching in 4k. One X has a higher resolution than Series S.

Its anybody having frame drops in halo 2 from master chief collection? Im having a lot of frame drops while playing
CE Anniversary and Halo 2 Anniversary campaigns have had a huge hit in performance on the One X since the addition of Reach. It's unacceptably bad.

Well, Halo 2 looks fantastic and is pretty unstable, which can cause the lower fps. I'm not sure about CE though.

@@professionalpoopyhed both CE and H2A used to run at almost a locked 60 fps at 4k on One X. When Halo reach was added they broke the framerate in that update on the one x and over a year later never fixed it!

It seems the newer consoles show more details in weapons, armor, shadows etc. that you never even noticed before
Stability of SS and SX is impressive! But why in campaign at console we have barer of 60 fps? On PC we can have 100 FPS in campaign too

Oof now i see what they meant with One X performance issues. It looks like a Vsync bug because it sometimes just locks at 30fps. Funny enough, it also happens in the 120hz mode in SX/S, but it locks to 60fps sometimes when its supposed to play at 120fps

Playing 2 anniversary on the one X could be rough.
I often changed to the og graphics because the frame rate would tank in big fights and areas. Especially ones with with alot of see through stuff and lights. And you could tell the resolution was tanking. And it still ran bad and had horrible screen tearing.
Really hope that's not a problem with the later game one series X

Its awful on One X and it happens throughout the campaigns of CE and H2A. 343 is the most disrespectful, lazy pos developer ive ever seen.

Es increíble que la series x corra a 2160p a 120fps y por otro lado, la series s necesita un modo calidad, a 1440p 60fps. O si pudiese a 1800p@60
Its not stated if the comparison is with a 1st gen XBONE or XBONE-S. My experience is that the XBONE-S has better performance.

A pesar de que Xbox series S es más eficiente que una Xbox one X, no veo la ventaja más allá de los tiempos de carga de los SSD. Son las mismas versiones de los juegos, creo que habrá que ver en los juegos más nuevos haber cómo van, por que realmente esto es tan solo retrocompatibilidad incluso van igual en Xbox one X que en una series X en esta más estabilidad en algunos casos pero no tienen nada nuevo respecto la versión anterior. If you put a ssd on the one x the load times would be faster.

Sí, si va a esa cantidad de frames, buena optimizada le dieron.
Depende de las zonas, cantidad de enemigos, explosiones, ese tipo de factores son diferenciales para aplicar correctamente los 120 fps, normalmente los mantendría sacrificando la resolución, puede ser dinámico de 900p hasta 1080 dependiendo de los factores que recién expliqué.
