If the Cards don’t score, that 4th and 7 would’ve been a FG attempt instead of a must-convert down by the Vikings to stay alive. Cards get the ball back tied with a chance to win. Vikings will also have the ball at their own 4 yd line.
That's not even what she's talking about lol she's saying if Minnesota stops them on 4th down, it would be a better situation than kicking a field goal and going up 6
The Cards had an opportunity to end the game. If not the Vikes have to go 96 yards. The Vikes had a similar situation when leading the Packers 31-22 with about 2 minutes to go with a 4th and 1 on their goal line. The Vikes failed. A success would have given the Vikes a kneel out. The failure meant the Packers had to go the length in 90 seconds, which they did, then the highly improbable onside kick recovery. The Vikes played out a similar strategy against the 49ers to win in week 3. And did the same thing vs the Bears who managed to not only the fluke recovery of the onside, but also to convert the FG for extra time.
I think more is being made about not going for it on 4th when the attention needs to be more on the defense folding AND allowing a 4th and 7. You make that stop, the game is over. I also feel like the minute we got the ball after going up 19-6, we should have spent more time trying to grind out the clock.
Exactly. I'd take the lead and trust my defense not to allow a TD. They can end the game with a defensive stop...notice nobody's criticizing the Vikings for scoring too fast and allowing Kyler to have the ball with a minute and a half on the clock....its because one team's defense shut the door. Cardinals had the chance to and didn't get it done. Its not a coaching issue its an execution issue - he put them in position to win and they shat the bed. Period. End of story.
But if the Vikings stop the Cardinals on 4th and 4, then the Vikings only need a field goal to tie. The Cardinals made the right call kicking it, and going up by 6. If they went for it, and got stopped, these same idiots would be on here saying "why did they go for it? They should have kicked a field goal!" lol.....
You're over thinking this whole scenario. They are not saying the Cardinals lost because they kicked the field goal. They are saying if the Vikings stop you on 4th and 4 they have to go 96 yards for a touchdown and if you stop them at best they tie the game with a field goal. In this scenario if your defense holds the Vikings to a field goal on that last drive you can punt the ball away instead of having to go for it on 4th down and hope to force OT.
Both Arz and Min defenses were solid, all Arz could do offensively is underneath which is fine, but couldn't maje the big playv..Min Offensively took to long to takecwhat was given( Arz blitzes, causing sacks, keeping them from making the big strikes) min got this deeper strikes on their last 3drives.....so stalemate by defenses but Min offense the difference Good gm by Arz.
The Vikings have the best 4th down defense in all of football,
And the best run defense and they’re Top 5 in every single defensive metric.
2nd in sacks and top 3-4 in turnovers.
People forget head coach and defensive coordinator both won superbowls so they would have a clue how to get it done
1:06 Orlovsky always looking like he just drank a glass of milk after the waiter told him it was water.

hahahahaha😂😂
Two game winning drives in a row for Sam Darnold! Will the real Tom Brady please stand up!
I feel like KOC going for 4th &7 no matter what the situation was
Sam I Am is legit for real. He's winning with the arm and his ability to run.
The assumption they are making is that AZ scores on 4th and goal. What if the Vikings stuff them? Gannon made the safe play.

Was nothing but field goals the first half. Cards were banking on that.

@. Yes sir. 👏🏻
Agree with the point. But that's not really a problem with the Cardinals' defense... It's a problem with coaching.
I guess it takes the Lions to give the Vikings a loss, can not anyone else do it? Dang.
Hilarious point Mina. Can Green Bay upset a banged-up Lions defense Thursday Night?

Not true. Folks in the know were making the call before the play. Olsen laid out exactly what would happen before it did.

Good gm by Arz.
Gonna be MUCH MUCH harder to find any Ponder sympathizers
GIVE THE VIKINGS SOME FUCKING CREDIT WHAT THE HELL GUYS THEY ARE 10-2
Top 5 in every defensive category and 1st in run defense.
10-2*
@ I stand corrected 10-2 that’s my bad you are correct.
These women, even though they never played a down, yet, they are experts in football.
Neither have most men who watch football and are couch experts
Never did analysis but thinks he can comment on experts….
I agree with the men part
Howard Cosell never played a down. YOU'VE never played a down.
braindead comment
Kyler has 0 throw power
You're drunk
Can throw 50 yards
Daniel Jones is your best qb 😂
He would still be playing for new York if that was true
Once he learns the system and gains some confidence he will be an excellent QB2
@@SkolAiden no the Giants sucked with or without Daniel. We have to cleanse the team like Payton did with the Lions 😂
Just because the other coach made a play and it didn't work doesn't mean it was the wrong play I just meant that we were better than them that's all
