My NC AA build is incredible. T8 carriers lose almost every plane if not all when the make a run on me. NC is a great ship

If a cv cap is smart they will wait for a few he rounds to knock out a few of the guns or group together so the strike will at least land. They just have to be willing to eat the losses. NC, Iowa, and Montana AA is damn impressive but its no DM or Hindy level aa. Equal or higher tier planes will make it through if they know what they are doing.

Got rank 1 this season by only playing in the North Cal :D Iowa grinded out, unicum stats maintained, job done xD Have to say after all those game, i like this ship, but the moment you are forced to show broadside you get instantly deleted, also the guns are quite trollish, sometimes you'll hit every target, sometimes you'll miss every salvo you fire :D but all in all nice ship oh yeah almost forgot, godtier AA

Flamu EU is only allowed to win 7:2 against RU, so NA stays known as the potato server. xD
In close combat Amagi is my Nemesis too, wich is kinda weird, at T8 she is the "sniper BB". I ve given up on shooting at her waterline in this case. But i crushed a Amagi at 19km with my NC (shortly after the buff), 4 Cits, 57k and he was done.
NC is indeed a great ship now, havent played her for a while, and then she instandly breaks my dmg record !
Amagi has turtleback, pretty much impossible to citadel it at ranges less than about 5km.
What you say about the NC is kind of how I feel about the Atlanta. She's got clear strengths and weaknesses, you can make game changing plays or fail miserably. That said she still is NOT a "competitive" ship in the way that the NC is, and in the Atlanta is is possible to do all the right things but get deleted because of Bullshit luck.

The buff to firing angles of NC's rear turret is huge
Great play especially at the end. The Hinden could have probably deleted the Amagi with AP with citadels at the end there but again random battles; at least he didn't go full potato against the Friedrich right?
It goes both ways, the Amagi could have focused the Hindenburg first and with that threat gone have a clear, easier fight against the NC. But BB players keep forgetting that cruisers are quite dangerous when left alone, and very squishy when focused. :)

Top tip after some 270 games with NC - vs. Amagis that close aim under rear turrets. Multiple citadels per volley guaranteed.

My highest NC damage game was on shatter. I kind of overlooked it, but OMG I LOVE SHATTER.
aren't the high shell arcs a problem when trying to hit things at 15+ km? i have a real problem doing that. can you suggest some kind of technique to hit things at that range?

Got full concealment on NC gets it to 11,8 it makes it so much easier to ambush broadsides and suprise cruisers
I just grind out the Iowa. For those who are looking for suggestions: if you have fun with NC, you'll have fun playing Iowa. But if you hate NC, DO NOT upgrade to Iowa.
Iowa is basically a tier 9 NC but slightly better gun.

I'm close to getting the NC... I decided to watch vids on how to play it but most clips are old and thus my question is, does this clip for example still makes sense for the nowaday wows?

Do an AA test with it. I know it's good but would like to see just how good with full AA build.
Tyler Moore rating means nothing. How does it actually perform? Is it worth going for? 20km shima torps have a higher rating but they are shit.
With my NC full AA build I shot down 40 planes. That is with including 100% on the 127mm AA guns. The IOWA I did 61 planes with the same full AA
So many high tier battles on YT feature German BBs that seem entirely clueless about the strengths of their ships and hence how to play them.

Bismarck is amazing. I'm a casual player and I have an 85k average in the Bismarck vs only a 69k in the North Carolina. The secondaries on the Bismarck just take the cake allowing for pushes against dds and cruisers.

it's a good ship but it's not as accurate as you say 290 somthing dispersion at full range and even with the accuracy module the tirpitz is more accurate and tirp isn't known for accuracy but i guess you only need a shell to hit with the caliber of the shell

lol wut? the first salvo on the battle, 1 none pen, 2 overpens, 1 cit and yet 20k dmg?
Yes, your shells sometimes overpenetrate the superstructure but fuse after maybe penning the deck for instance, showing overpen but doing normal pen damage. Also, I think if the fuse sometimes goes off while hitting modules such as AA guns or secondaries and then the module absorbs the damage meaning it shows penetration but gets you no real damage to the enemy ship's HP.
Yeah, also hitting dead modules give you pens but no damage, devs said it on some of their q&a

I never really liked the North Carolina. Althtough I did relatively well in it, it just was not much fun to play for me.
Especially the guns are a big disappointment in terms of performance and accuracy.
And the armor is good on paper, but ingame you tend to eat a lot of damage through your bow and stern, even when angled.
True the guns have bad accuracy, and far most people will not sail broadside to you like almost every person flamu here meets, this game that is shown here is just proof that this ship requires a great deal of luck to be a truly amazing ship, watching this was so sad, the enemy ships were just screwing themselves over constantly, and it was only by pure luck of the rng that his North cal survived that last volley from the German in B. Many times even when you do get to shoot at broadsides all this ships pen gets you is a bunch of overpens.. And when you shoot at the running ships, the slow shells are just to easy to duke away from. I found this ship a great dissappointment guns wise compared to the 760 m/s guns on the colorado and the iowa as well.. However all this said, I still find its stealth capacities and speed to make up for the stress of having your guns constantly fail on you, and when you meet additional bbs coming from the same direction and you just get to turn back gears while launching your two tripple towers, your enemy is gonna have a bad time.
North Carolina > Iowa. All day. Every day.

Dude, they are maybe equal since the latest patch, but I'd take the maneuverability of the NC over the HP advantage of the Iowa any day. The Iowa has become quite competitive as of now and it's a good tier IX battleship, but the NC still shines above in the US BB line.

The Yamato is better than other t10 BBs and should be, just look at its history/guns/armor etc compared to others.
haxx monk but the yamato didnt do a damn thing in the war other than be something something for the ijn to be proud of. The first time it saw combat it was sunk. Not a good track record for being tge biggest battleship in history.
