Sorry Flamu, but I think you and OMNI (and all the other really good clans) are not even invited to participate on this clan battle thing because it's addressing a complete different problem, which you also pointed out in this video. I also wrote a comment on my assumtions on the video that chase made on this topic, but I'll quote it here: > Well yesterday evening I was also upset about the decision leaving CVs out of the clan battles. But now a friend explained to me Wargamings super clever idea of the ranked battles for clans. > > If you go into a random battle today with a tier 8 ship, you face tier 10 ships most of the time. This is because even the potatos will made it to a tier 10 ship one day. Right? > Now the super clever plan is to give the "I have a cool high tier ship and I'm 12yo" players an own platform to play with it, without messing around with the random battles anymore. And this is why leaving CVs out of the battles is so super genius: > #1 They gives all that competitive clans a reason to stay out of the clan battles > #2 The potato clans have more fun without getting killed by CVs and will play longer clan battles > > So leaving the CVs out is to prevent tier 10 clan battles seal clubbing!!! > > And that clans, which are already very good, will just continue their yet existing league stuff. > Yes, I can say that without even being sarcastic. I'm goning to continue leveling up my carriers. ;D
That Iowa in the first battle: "L2P, don't sail broadside, your rear turret isn't worth dying for". "Nah, don't worry, WG will just change citadel so I can fully embrace my inner potato."
I just feel the need to defend the NM near you when you say that your team has been playing passive on the side you were on. He was moving towards the enemies the whole game. It's just that he's in a NM and moves at the speed of a glacier.
I've always had a soft spot for the NC. It also was a huge leap over the Colorado. I mean, when the Colorado ate all the damage, had a normal heal, bad dispersion, etc. I still remember when the Tirpitz was more accurate than the NC but I still played the NC in ranked for it's AA and tankiness. My, how the times have changed. Seems like an AA build NC should be rethought after all the CV players leave the game, including this past CV player. Still love seeing the NC being played well. It's a great ship that rewards great play but also rewards bad plays by punishment. In that regard, it's balanced and strong. No gimmicks, no fancy consumables just solid guns and AA; of which the AA doesn't seem nearly as useful anymore. Can't wait to see me more NC vids as I watch this game vicariously now :)
Love ur videos, they have helped me out tremendously. Completely agree with you on match making, I think they should change it to +/- 1instead of 2. I am still very new to the game and have been seeing a lot of games where I am the bottom tier and end up getting wrecked. I play on the NA server and the lowest population I have seen has been 10, 000 people playing, so I don't see there being much of an increase in match making time if they change it to +/-1. Thanks again for your videos and keep up the great work.
I used this advice today in a ranked game with an Alabama against a smoked up Edinburgh. The result was one Devastating Strike. Thank you Flamu for these examples along with your explanation. That top down view really helps clue you in and coming to a stop in a place where I was undetected really helped nail the shot. However, I think there is a way for British cruiser players to make this kind of long-range smoke shooting a little more difficult; besides just moving backwards and forwards in their smoke, but why should I help them? I don't play higher tier British cruisers, except for the Belfast, so I think I'll keep this idea to myself.
Matchmaker is truly borked for tier 8 just now. Huge majority of the games I've been getting shoved into aren't just the usual up tiered games. It's heavy on tier 10, a few tier 9's then bunch of tier 8's. Either tier 9 is very unpopular just now or WG have changed something but don't remember WG mentioning they were going to mess with it recently though. WG just need to admit defeat on +2 matchmaking. There is no call for it at peak times.
MoA-Reload... Because.. you know.. why stop at T9? When u have accumulated enough pts, theres nothing much to do but to go up. Montana has one extra turret than Iowa. That itself drives the mindset of people to upgrade from Iowa. Do not fault on WG, we are the ones who makes the decision to buy Montana and used her more.
Mclaren v8 Why thank you Cpt Obvious. There is however a big difference between a gradual shift to tier 10's as people get them and a sudden influx of people playing them more than usual. With the way the mm is reacting just now it suggets either WG have been messing with it or for some reason the majority of players playing at tiers 8-10 are leaving their tier 9's rusting in port. Even in the unlikely event that it is just a massive influx of people all of a sudden hitting tier 10 all at the same time, argument still stands. Strict +2 matchmaking isn't up to the job anymore.
Mclaren v8 I do think tier9s are not as common anymore, because there's no reason to play a tier9 over a tier10. It's possible to not even lose that much money on tier10 if you have a half decent game. MM is going to throw you in tier10 anyways, very rarely will you get top tier in a tier 9. So why would anyone sail an Iowa instead of Montana, or Izumo instead of Yamato, or Lion over conqueror, Dmitry Donskoi instead of Moskva, Baltimore over Des Moines. All the tier10s are better in every way over the 9, tier9 MM will throw you in tier10 anyways, tier9 ships after you spend 5 million credits on hull and engine upgrades cost as much as a tier10 anyways. All of my tier9s got sold, and the equipment and modules and captains went to my tier10s.
I'm 15k xp away from unlocking my first T8 ship and it just so happens to be the NC, i'm looking forward to it over the Colorado, she hasn't exactly treated me well.
Spotter plane on Roon/Hindenburg works even better because you have cruiser dispersion and a higher rate of fire. try it out guys, make the RN CLs suffer! :)
I'm guessing english isn't his primary language. Wasn't that hard to parse his meaning. Kagero being seen on the other side of the map is good and useful data, regardless of what you're driving.
I remember I hated This ship for the longest time when I first bought it. I was Bad with BBS back then, To be fair though that was back when it had 25MM bow and had 1.8 Sigma, AKA back when it Suuucked, It wasint till my last 10 Battles that I truly did good in it, PS for a good idea of just how the tracking works watch Business6”s video on the Montana called *Baby come back* He goes in detail on how the Lock system works in the middle of the video
Yep, i remember the old NC. When i reached her back then, i thought "Nooo, i suffered through the (old) Trolorado, not again." Then ger BBs came, and i stopped playing the NC. It was my first match after the buff, when i oneshotted an Amagi at 19km with my (now beloved) NC :D
So why are WG so hung up with 3 tier MM? It's the most unpopular thing in the game. Single tier or 2 tiers would massively improve the fairness and enjoyability of the game. Do junior football teams play in the Belarusian Premier League? LOL
it is just another cash grab. The only "protected" tiers are 1-4 and 9-10. T5-8 are plain cannon fodder and are intended to be played just for grinding towards T10, where the economy forces most of the population to pay. The most cash in T5-8 area is harvested by the WG from premium ships and from accelerating the grind. Stupid, shortsighted, discouraging philosophy... Actually games in T6-8 can be more interesting than T9-10, but no. WG will punish you with some +2 tiered bullies and ruin all the fun in 3/4 of cases.
That and the combination of ridiculous stock grinds that result in even MORE frustration, it's a terrible and unrewarding game design, being handicapped from the get go, let alone being handicapped AND being forced to fight against ships that are upwards of 70% better than your ship even when it is fully upgraded.
The QE in the second game :) I know I find some people only fire HE when AP can be situationally better but never seen only firing AP in a british BB at an angled NC ?????
Flamu - I suggest you try to use "x" key to switch targets and/or deselect enemy ship to trick them into thinking that you are not aiming at them. I saw several times that you are shooting at a ship while your target is at another nearby enemy ship. Hope it helps.
German cruisers battleships are very tricky to citadel when they sail in straight line but when they are turning its very easy to hit the citadel its a bit weird.
I had yesterday a game with Fiji and the enemy team had a PanAsian Tier 8 DD i knew that he was torping me but i thought that in a CL perhaps the Deepwater torpedo will pass under my ship, nope i spotted them with no time to react and died, (notice i had no active hydro) and wasn't in smoke, lesson learned Deepwater torpedo is deadly so be careful with CLs
So this thing is better than an Amagi or a Bismarck??? I want too see if this ship can hould up is place as the Best TVIII BB's after the Richelieu and the Littorio class BB's came to this game...
did this many thousend times, also when exactly knowing where the hidden ship loaction is inside the smoke, but nearly never any hits, and now i think i know why: I was always moving at speed or full speed! but stopping a fat bb takes a half minute in this game.
12:03 How can this be a citadel hit? The NM was hit a good portion in front of the A turret. According to the armor model, there is no citadel. The very left shell has not yet hit. Once more confirmation, that the armor scheme in the harbor is different to the actual hitboxes. The way Wargaming is setting up clan battles, they admit that there is something completely wrong with the game in the current state, but instead of fixing it, they decided to screw over the heavily invested core player base. Wargaming really has a knack for it.
I feel like this kind of accuracy is how battleships should play. I fucking hate playing my gneisenau because no matter how perfectly I lead the target, I can service a broadside target 10km away, and the shells will just land all over the place and totally miss the target. When player input has next to no effect on the outcome of their action, a game is no longer enjoyable.
Absolutely love the Commentary Flamu, Don't take any shit from these moderators, Keep Ripping them up! I won't watch anyone else who plays World of Warships, they're all just simply lacking the information & sophistication you put out there.
This is my issue with players whining about Kutuzov being THAT OP! Sure, dont get me wrong, Kutuzov is a really strong ship, but whenever i pop my smoke everyone on the enemy team stops firering at me, not even the BBs im burning down shoots at me?! And its the most simple thing in the game to punish a smoked up Kutuzov! The ship takes up half the smoke and are made out of paper?! Just shoot 2 salvos between his outgoing fire and delete him?!
lol clan wars or conqueror ..moskava ,kaba and maybe a gearing or 2 wars..2 of them ships are by no means absolute monsters and op as hell ..just balanced heavy in their own favor. just have no gearing and a kaba 3 man death squad hunting the enemy dds down and then spamming the crap out of everyone in a an endless nightmare..Moskva's a good counter too them but they will have ur Moskva and flame thrower bb to deal with. t8 is more balanced for competitive play but like t7 with its Belfast t8 has is Kutuzov and the potatoes will cry.

4:28 - that Iowa appears to be running survivability expert, so what do you expect.

I pick up SOMETHING every time I watch one of your videos. The tip about being stationary to improve firing into smoke is a perfect example. Thanks.
I've always had a soft spot for the NC. It also was a huge leap over the Colorado. loving the NC commentary's!! Just how BB's should be done

The North Carolina can hurt tier 10 ships and can hold her own when being shot at
I love this ship so much, gotten several Krakens in her, but she is a cruiser killer mainly, BBs only if they are lower tier or within 10km.
Han Solo have to disagree there. NC do very consistent dmg to BBs at most range, unless u hit very heavily armored GK at 20 km or sth
I can imagine the division chat. 'We are in smoke, he is using hacks!' Lol
Matchmaker is truly borked for tier 8 just now. Huge majority of the games I've been getting shoved into aren't just the usual up tiered games. Id still Like to know about the NCs Front Armour? Are you easy to get a Front citadel in this ship?
I'm 15k xp away from unlocking my first T8 ship and it just so happens to be the NC, i'm looking forward to it over the Colorado, she hasn't exactly treated me well.
Last weekend I played Bismarck, I was using spotting plane and I managed to wreck Belfast division... felt good man :D.
helo helo can you tell me what ship is best for ranked tier 8 i have xp for edimburg, new orleans , kagero , akizuki
Spotter plane on Roon/Hindenburg works even better because you have cruiser dispersion and a higher rate of fire. try it out guys, make the RN CLs suffer! :)
Andreas Larsson My thoughts exactly, since the Hindy is my fave cruiser. I despise the Minotaur.
The Kagero on the opposite side of the map gives Flamu more manoeuvrability. WOW.
? are u wondering why or do u think flamu said something wrong?
He should say "more room to manoeuvre"
I'm guessing english isn't his primary language. Wasn't that hard to parse his meaning. Kagero being seen on the other side of the map is good and useful data, regardless of what you're driving.

what sigma does NC have now?
Joeseph Hunnicutt I hate whenever sometimes the locking just gives enemy homing shells hitting me even if you evade
Эдик Рагимов
It has a 2.0 Sigma now
I wish my NC had dispersion like that shot on the the tirpitz.
That's probably a once in 100 salvos, even for the NC. The BB equivalent of the Golden BB.
I feel a lot of confidence in the NC, even if up tiered. Now, the Nelson....pssshhh!!
So why are WG so hung up with 3 tier MM? It's the most unpopular thing in the game. Single tier or 2 tiers would massively improve the fairness and enjoyability of the game. Do junior football teams play in the Belarusian Premier League? LOL

NC vs Amagi, opinions Flamu? Last time I played tier viii BBs you would be laughed at if you said NC was even close to as good as the Amagi.
Flamu - I suggest you try to use "x" key to switch targets and/or deselect enemy ship to trick them into thinking that you are not aiming at them. I saw several times that you are shooting at a ship while your target is at another nearby enemy ship. Hope it helps.
George Zhang He does. What you are seeing is a replay bug.
Thanks that's good to know!
Flamu what do you think of Amagi? Does the NC completely rekt her tier wise nowadays?
German cruisers battleships are very tricky to citadel when they sail in straight line but when they are turning its very easy to hit the citadel its a bit weird.
zhongming wen Bow overmatched. If their BBs turned in towards u, they are showing u more of uts citadel hence easier to hit it.
I had yesterday a game with Fiji and the enemy team had a PanAsian Tier 8 DD i knew that he was torping me but i thought that in a CL perhaps the Deepwater torpedo will pass under my ship, nope i spotted them with no time to react and died, (notice i had no active hydro) and wasn't in smoke, lesson learned Deepwater torpedo is deadly so be careful with CLs

did this many thousend times, also when exactly knowing where the hidden ship loaction is inside the smoke, but nearly never any hits, and now i think i know why:
I was always moving at speed or full speed!
but stopping a fat bb takes a half minute in this game.
ima see how true that lock aim is? one other youtuber said when you see the stopwatch blinking is when you have a good shot, it was bullshit.
My Nagato loves eating smoked up Belfasts.

it's south korea flag
