Extremely grateful for Christopher’s work on this subject. I’ve been fighting my same-sex attraction my whole life and am still, but I’m a new creation in Jesus and I have the power through the Holy Spirit to fight against temptation. Wether He calls me to marriage to a woman or a life of singleness- all the glory will go to Him!

As soon as I saw this topic I had to jump in! I’ve been struggling through this topic. One of my close friends, whom I always thought was a conservative Christian, recently proposed to her girlfriend .. when I tried to talk to her about it the conversation quickly went to the topic of objective truth. She literally texted me “who am I to say that the Bible is absolute truth?” I was floored. Forget homosexuality, THIS is the root of the issue at hand! Prayers appreciated

@@inYTbio_SiteLINKs2Verses_Bruv it is very sad that despite Jesus spending so much of his time among us decrying the people who profit off of the Word of God, who twist it for their own gain and agenda, and greed, that so many people fall for these same greedy businessmen disguised as Christians. Yet homosexuality, which Jesus spent so little time talking about while living, is constantly attacked and singled out as the only sin so many of these people care about, who have now taken it upon themselves to be judge and jury.
I can't think of anything more unChrist-like to ignore the rampant greed and profiting off of the Lord's Word, yet spend their time ignoring all other sin and only using verses about homosexuality in order to justify their own personal, human, and unholy hatred and judgement as many people who follow Dr. Christopher Yuan tend to do. Very sad, thank you for exposing the hypocrisy and grift of people like him.

And it’s all the BLTG+ diehards that are gaslighting the other deviants into believing their sin was their identity! And nearly as bad are the simps white knighting the BTGL+ people. No different than adulterers and any other sinners. Once you truly allow the spirit there’s just no way you can keep on with your old ways. If there’s not a major change going on within then you probably need to get your nose back in the Bible and figure out what you missed. We can tell a lot about a Christian by the fruits or lack there of. God bless.

"We all have unchosen sinful temptations that God calls us to resist." That's a fact. Mine isn't homosexuality. But it's just as huge a fight, and just because my society no longer vilifies my particular sin temptation doesn't make it any less sinful nor does it make it any easier to overcome. We ALL desperately need Jesus. We all desperately need the Holy Spirit to help us in this battle. If we, the church, would love people unconditionally WHILE openly admitting to the issues we ourselves are wrestling with and fighting on our path to holiness, it might be a little more encouraging to someone whose particular sin temptation is homosexuality.

I just kept saying, "Yes! Yes!" Those of us who had homosexual sin in our lives are not some group over here by ourselves. I get asked if I believe orientation can change. Orientation is not a biblical concept. Instead sexual sin is the biblical term. Homosexual sexual sin is one category. What does the Bible say about sexual sin (or any sin for that matter)? It says to confess, repent, and walk in newness of life. Then resist temptation with the power of the Holy Spirit. Do I believe someone can REPENT of homosexual sin? Yes. Can they be forgiven? Yes. Can they resist temptation through the power of the Holy Spirit? Yes.

It's not an oxymoron- just because someone commits one (or a few sins), doesn't mean they should throw away the whole religion.
It's basically throwing the baby with the bathwater.
Doesn't mean the religion can accept it, but it's possible to be a sinner and still try. I will admits it's hard to live in this constant dissonance, but throwing everything away is not the way.

The mission of the gospel is not to repent and be straight. It is repent and be holy as Jesus is holy. There are many Christians who profess Jesus as Lord and refuse to give into homosexual temptation when that is their inclination. I know this is just a talk show, but this question really does not require so much thought that it is hard to answer.

Also, most gay men that are killed are killed by other gay men and typically those drugs were involved also.

Only thing I will say is I think some churches are not prepared to minister to such people.
Some churches have a culture so heavily motivated by getting married & having children that people that aren’t blessed in that regard; that may be single for the rest of their lives may feel like total outsiders.
It was such a paradigm shift for me that I had a couple nervous breakdowns early on. Wesley Hill’s Washed & Waiting, Andrew Murray’s Humility & St Aquinas’ works were a profound help for me.
I truly hope more churches anchor themselves in His Word & don’t affirm what God clearly categorizes as sin while also recognizing that new believers used to particular lifestyles will need the church to come along side them not just welcome them.
Praise God I’m on the other side & I am loved & appreciated.

No. The argument of the LGBT is that they are "just born that way". The Gospel says you can only enter the kingdom if you are born again of spirit and water. You can not be saved if you don't leave your past self and sin behind. While grace and salvation is offered to all, we can not bargain terms and conditions of it. Sorry.

You should find the middle ground! Yes be strict, but also loving. Are they turning to the sin of the alphabet community for a reason? Maybe they are trying to fit in? Maybe they haven't found a date and are trying something new? Work with eachother around the problem.
I am a teen, but also Christian and fairly Conservative. If I turn into sin (whether it is the alphabet community, or something like smoking or vaping, which is common today with teens), 100% I want my parents to be strict af with me and get me out of it! But upon second thought, however, if I am the same person as I am now, I doubt that I would willingly turn to those sins... unless some reason, conscious or subconscious, has pushed me into it. Identifying the reason and helping me conquer it would be the most successful way out.

Ferociously loving your children is awesome! Just know though that god embraces and loves his gay children exactly how they are and when you reject how someone loves, you reject the person themselves. But god doesn't do that to us! God doesn't put us through the pain of telling us that we need to apologize for our ability to love. He doesn't do that to straight people or gay ones.

@@KeilyShhh Not quite. The Christian message is "love the sinner, hate the sin". God loves all His children. We should be thankful and follow God's laws. • @cerebrummaximus3762
      @cerebrummaximus3762 ปีที่แล้ว

@@KeilyShhh I do appreciate the response, but you can't mould scripture from what it says (at least as I and seemingly many others) understand it.
We comprise of a soul and a flesh. Our souls have been granted with flesh and free will. However, after the Fall of Lucifer and then the Fall of Man, sin was brought into this world. As you'd tell off a child when doing something that risks their life, God punished Adam and Eve for breaking His only rule, and by committing their first sin, Adam and Eve brought sin into the world, and they could no longer live in perfect and sinless Eden, Paradise. Those who committed sin in their flesh from that moment onwards would separate themselves from God and their souls would live in a life that they created: hell.
Problem is, this was the fate for all man that moment onwards. To feel sin, pain, die, and perish or fall to Hades. Despite having to punish Adam and Eve for their sin, as you'd punish a child who does wrong, God still loved Adam and Eve, and the Creation of man; He could not let them fall to Hades and live a life of eternal torment. God loved His creation so much in fact, that He incarnated His Nature of Creation in human flesh, the Son in the Trinity of the Father, to experience the agonies a human does, and in the end, He gave His only Son so that man has an opportunity to be saved, reunite with God and live eternal life. There is a problem however: the Path is Narrow!! (Thunderstrikes.)
The only being in our entire universe and beyond that can provide eternal life is the only being in this world that is indeed all-powerful, omnipotent and powerful, is our eternal and omnipotent God. For those who want to live eternal life, they can only get this chance through God, and by being as close as one possibly can to God and His word, could they achieve the chance to be in the presence of God and live life eternal as Him. God preached how one stays controlled and pure via his Old Testament Prophets, and eventually Jesus who'd give His life for us to be saved. In order to be in the presence of God, we can still have free will, but we ought to stay pure and follow the path of God. This means that God has given us the ability to do anything we like, however to gain eternal life we need to resist temptations to do sins brought in during the Fall, and follow the word of God.
That means all sins. Including lust. We have been given the ability to love freely, however we need to love via God, who is love Himself, and place Him first. That means to basics, such as keep your self chastous till marriage, and do not engage in immoral sin, such as sexually arousing yourself. Even looking at a woman lustfully is committing adultery at heart. It is unmoral. We do not love for the pleasure of fornication and sex. We love because love ought to be pure and we love for God. We don't love for sex, sex is just a feature that lets you unleash the ability to multiply and grow a loving family that will follow in your footsteps to a life dedicated to Christ and God the Creator. Good feeling was given to sex so that our immoral minds wouldn't strive away from God's rule and we should feel pleasure when following the rules of God. That pleasure however should be reserved for those following the rules of God and shouldn't be used willy-nilly. After the fall, we have been granted the ability to use these pleasures immorally, and to follow the word of God, we ought to not give into temptations of the flesh.
That means striving away from immoral inflections of lust and temptations of the body to commit the gift of sex immorally. That includes do not fornicate, for sex should only be done between two truly loving partners willing to proceed to multiply and make a stable family. That means do not look at a woman lustfully, do not watch p0rн0graph¥, do not m@$тerbate, for they are paths to harness the pleasure of the flesh meant for proper Christian, reproductive sex, to sinful immoral pleasures. That also means do not let temptations deceive you: do not engage in h0m0$€xu4lity, for God has clearly not intended for us to use the gift of love and sex in a perverted way, and harness sex and love just to make the flesh feel good immorally. H0m0s€xuality too is a sin. Love was meant to lead us a life for God, to create a stable family, and procreate. H0m0s€xualit¥ clearly does not do that. It is an immoral way to please our flesh via God's gifts, and we ought to not give into that form of lust.
Besides, if isn't obvious already, h0m0$€x*alit¥ is... unnatural. Not just clearly from a Biblical or Christian perspective, nor quite evidently from a Scientific perspective. But in general, historically. This lust, this perverted false form of love, has never or at least very rarely needed to occur widespread naturally. In Europe, we've been living in a heteronormative society for over a few centuries without any hustle or problem, and it has almost never occurred or been viewed as natural since less then a century ago. The only time a society has had this lust been widespread so naturally is when it has been influenced or taught to society. Rarely naturally. Yes, I admit, certainly has h0m0$*xu@lit¥ may have come naturally to some individuals. Some people are born with six fingers, but doesn't make it normal, just happens. Defects have been brought to us since the Fall. But cases such as these of this lust occurring naturally are extremely extremely rare. The only time it has occurred is in settings meant to exploit the gift of sex, for example sex slaves, when sex workers would flourish, and men, women, and children kidnapped, sold and r@p€d for "fun", that's clearly not a good thing and shows a way that sex can be exploited that even you may understand. The only major time this lust has flourished so "naturally" is... now. As I said, certainly their have been cases brought from the fall of sin occurring naturally, just as a 6th finger happens occasionally, besides in forced settings (eg sex slaves) but it is extremely extremely rare. Yet, do you not find it weird how their is a sudden spike increase in supposed h0m0$€x*al$, not since the 60s, not since the last 10 years, but just the last five or even three years?! Because it is taught! It does not occur naturally, and this spike of people has increased because it has spread through society, it is paraded, it is now advantageous to label yourself as a committer of this sin, it is taught in schools to our young children. It is immoral and you know it. As I have mentioned, this sin grew since only the 20th century, with an unusual increase when younger generations tried to snowflake from tradition, occurring around the 1960s during the sexual revolution, and has been increasing since the last 10 years. But even then, this lust has remained fairly rare even in the last 10-20 years, being the occasional but slightly more common oddball meme. But suddenly, only in the last 5 years did they spike.
It is an immoral sin we ought to stay away from. Love the sinner, not the sin. Maintain the man behind the sin, but steer him or her away from it.

HERE SOME SCIENTIFIC FACTS ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY:
= The WHO, World Health Organization, stated clearly, that homosexuality not a disease or disorder, but a healthy natural sexual orientation.
= It is most likely innate (determined by SNP in several genes and by antibodies (NLGN4Y) during pregnancy), as the opposite sex is never sexual attractive to people born homosexual.
= Evolution scientists stated in several publications, that homosexuality exists since sexuality exists, since 385 million years.
= They also stated, that having homosexual members in the own tribe, gives several evolutionary advantages, which explains the permanent share of 4-10% homosexuals of the population.
=>> So, the question would be rather: why putting an ethical limit on homosexuality if its natural, healthy and even with a natural sense?
=>> Especially now as more and more homosexuals marry and adopt and raise kids that else wise would have no parents.===

If being gay means practicing and engaging in same sex behaviors, then the answer is no or at least, that a Christian who is deeply engaged in sin and lifestyle contrary to Christian teaching and sanctification, is at fundamental opposition to Christ. If being gay means having same sex desires but not acting upon them, then yes is the answer. As with all evil or sinful thoughts and wants, resisting them, is the basis of a leading a life in line with God's commandments.

Only by knowing Jesus and being in-love with Him does our will begin to be replaced by His will. I’m not straight or anticipate being straight, but I know that I love Jesus more than I desire being in a relationship with a man. It is the ongoing sin without repentance that is the problem. If someone is a thief or an adulterer and they continue their sin without repentance then they are not a Christian, the same as someone that continues in homosexual sin with no repentance. The Bible says that we are to become new in Christ. Our old self is to be put away. We don’t get to claim Christ as our savior and continue in sin. I believe that you need to have a private talk with the pastor about this. Find out what his viewpoint is, and whether or not he agrees that this cannot be allowed. Also ask him if he will address their sin and encourage them to repent of their sin. If he refuses to deal with it, maybe you need to change churches.
Do you know about the First Baptist Church of Orlando FL and what they have been doing? It is no longer a godly church. It's more like a cesspool.
If you need a way to defend your position, you can remind the pastor to examine the early church in the Book of Acts. Would the apostles and Paul have allowed this "family" into the church? The two women are not really married according to God's definition of marriage. It's a mockery.
I mentioned the First Baptist Church of Orlando because this is an example of what happens when the pastor and elders compromise God's standards. I pray your pastor will be willing to listen and address the situation biblically. He needs to share the Gospel with them himself. I pray he will not give in to compromise. Otherwise, the whole local church will grow in corruption. He will be held accountable before King Jesus, one way or another.
I'm sure this is very difficult for you. I hope God uses what I have shared with you.
Lord Jesus, please help Shelly and her husband to be wise. Give them the courage to face the pastor with their concern. Keep them humble and gracious. This spiritual battle is Yours. May they continue to trust You and follow You. Remind them that You will guide them with Your eye. Thank You that Shelly is looking for answers. Amen.
Shelly, I would like to suggest that you watch Justin Peters' TH-cam channel. He has some videos on the First Baptist Church of Orlando and talks about all the compromises the leadership has allowed. Just something to consider, the context of Ephesians 5:31-32 (speaking of Christ and the Church) is found in Eph. 2:15 "He did away with the law of the commandments in regulations, so that He might create in Himself one new man from the two (Jew and Gentile), resulting in peace. He did this so that He might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross and put hostility to death by it." He is talking about Jew and Gentile becoming one body, in Christ. (not the church as the bride of Christ) Revelation 21:9-27 tells us exactly who the bride of the Lamb is and describes her in great detail! In Matthew 9:14-15 Jesus describes His own disciples as wedding guests of the groom not the bride. Happy digging.....

Reading some comments just strengthens the desire for Christ not to tarry any longer.

It's a loaded stupid question. Can you be a Christian and a practicing homosexual? No. Can you be a Christian and still have same sex attraction? Absolutely. The goal of the gospel isn't repent and be straight..it's repent and be holy as Jesus is holy. For some, that is a life long struggle of fighting temptation for the sake of loving Jesus more than loving your sinful inclinations.

Praise God for forgiveness of sins, for strength to resist temptation and for the grace of the gospel to lead us on the right path! In accordance with this word and leviticus 18:22, leviticus 29:13, 1 corinthians 6:9-11, 1 corinthians 6:18-20, romans 1:26-27, jude 1:7, 1 timothy 1:8-10, ephesians 2:8-9, romans 5:1-2, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 I bind one to desire to live a holy sexual life for God at all times while binding to hell every lack of desire to live a holy sexual life for God at all times in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquitances, opponents and the body of Christ, binding to hell every unequal yoke and common share with anyone lacking desire to live a holy sexual life for God, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah, glory to God ❤!

So now you can determine , who is saved. And who is not. WOW. run from these people fast. Because I thought John 3:16 for GOD so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him. Should not perish but have eternal life......... Was the way to salvation. But I guess ya'll are preaching another gospel.

This is so cool! I love that there's a parent and grandparent guide, but we need an aunt/uncle guide lol! I'm going to purchase it anyway as an aunt and a future mother.

I have to admit that I find some males attractive and admire their looks but that does not mean I want to kiss them.
