Thisbis exactly what i was looking for. What i found online is that a 6-7 lb whole turkey breast leaves you with 2lbs of cooked meat and they say thats enough to feed 6-8 people. 😂 we make meals with 2lbs of meat for every meal for my husband and i, my 13 yr old son, my 4 and 2 yr old and we hardly have any left over. We are all skinny so its not like we eat a ton. Its my first time making thanksgiving dinner, im 39! Weve always had to go to my parents or my in laws for thanksgiving. I want to start learning how to cook thabksgiving meals for my family before im too much older lol. I look forward to having thanksgiving with just my husband and children this year. Sometimes you just need a vreak to start your own traditions.
2lbs for 6-8 people is probably enough for one serving each. But if you plan to have seconds and thirds like we do, definitely not enough. lol. Good luck with your thanksgiving cook!! Thanks for stopping by and the feedback! Cheers!
Just found your channel; in order to get a true breast weight, you need to remove the partial back bone. also, you left to much meat on the bone, now you will get a better yield if you use a hen breast then a tom breast. I have been cutting turkeys for 49 years at a local butcher shop in Hollywood Florida. (Delaware Chicken Farm) so I know a little about boning turkey breast. Great Video.
Just found your channel and lovin it so far. So many great videos to get caught up on. Question, do you have a video tour of your smoke house and how it was constructed? I am looking to add something to my backyard. Thanks!
Thanks for stopping by!! I appreciate it. I haven’t done a video tour yet, but I’ve been getting comments to do that. So, that’s definitely in my future plans before winter.
I agree. I try to find boneless breast or the boneless breast roasts usually. Unless the bone in is on a big sale, its just too pricey with all the waste.

I think I’m going to avoid purchasing bone-in turkey breast after watching this.

It really sucks that they weigh and price with gravy packet. 😠
I 100% agree with you. Just slamming up the cost. And I don't know about you, but those usually just get tossed.
and a partial back bone!
