It's a fishing channel! No, it's a species information channel! No, it's a bait and tackle channel! No, it's a boat safety channel! No, it's a travel the Gulf South channel! No, it's a cooking channel! No, It's all of those and more. The best of all of them put together with the best host you could hope for. Thank you Stephen, you've built a great channel and community.
Agree. I began my beach life after leaving Las Vegas, started fishing and just got my first boat yesterday! I have learned so much from Steven (hope I spelled that correctly) and hope to apply that knowledge very soon, from boat safety, to fishing, to cleaning/cooking, and so on. Such a nice guy and keeps me entertained. Other channels just don’t compare IMHO.
heard someone call you the Bob Ross of fishing and I’ve never been able to unsee it😂 you truly take us along with you and your love for it is infectious. Appreciate you man!
You have single handedly gotten me into and the reason i started fishing. i can credit my love for fishing to you entirely. please, whatever you do keep it up. Much Love!
That's a Seminole bat. Thanks for taking care of that little guy. They are native to the southeast, one of my favorites. An absolutely beautiful animal. The prefer forested areas, especially with Spanish moss - so he/she was definitely out of its element.
I truly appreciate your content Steven. I'm deployed and your videos keep me at peace and bring a sense of home to me. I've also got some of my guys into fishing now and wanting to plan a trip once back. Thank you for all you do brother, you are a LEGEND!
Dude, I love your videos so much. I’m from West Virginia and You’ve taught me way more than I thought I would ever know about saltwater fishing. And you are just such an awesome and wholehearted guy. Thank you for everything man.
That was a pretty good explanation about the weather. My grandfather was a captain all his life and that is some of the same things he taught me to look for.
I love that you show the setup for the rods, helps me get an idea of what im going to need to get these fish. I watched one of your videos on red snapper and got the opportunity to catch one and we kept our limit of 4.
Nice King! I grew up eating King Mackerel because we fished a lot of the tournaments so it was a fish we targeted. Dad always steaked them and grilled them with some garlic pepper lemon butter. It was awesome! Makes me want to go out and try and get one and make some poor man’s lobster! Awesome video as always Stephen! Thank you for bringing us along on your fishing trips!
Fantastic video! Your Poor Man’s Lobster looks delicious! And, the bat! Lol. There were a few times I jumped as flew at you. Lol. Thanks for always providing us with awesome content!
Nothing more fun than a small kastmaster style Shiney jig, and some Bonito or mackerel or Albies. Great video man I was feeling that drag scream on the lighter gear. Reminds me of catching Bonito in California on 8lb line and light gear years ago. Thanks again for the fine video on the bat boat. 😆
id like to add to this comment i purchased a aquasport 175 with a lot of help from your videos. im currently adding a minn kota spot lock 24v trolling motor. prepping for the cool months of speckled trout, redfish, flounder, and sheepshead on the inland waters of east coast florida. thanks again for all the information and videos and god bless
If that had been my daughter, she would have been in the water!! LOL!! I have laughed til I nearly wet myself, I have tears running down my face! Thanks for the laugh! Im a 67 year old ol' woman, and i am gonna subscribe to your channel, i can't join, but i love to watch fishing on the ocean!! But you seem like a pretty good fisherman, so I'm going to be watching you!! But the bat was probably just scared. You can bet for sure that if that had been my daughter, she would have been overboard, LOL! If you just say the word to her when you are standing outside at dusk all you see next is the door swinging shut on the house!! I swear!! LOL!!
I’m a fan of the channel I’m actually in mobile Alabama today doing some free diving off the rigs and red snapper fishing just wanted to give you a shout out your videos made me load the friends and family up and head for Alabama !!! Keep doing what you’re doing love the videos!!!
See you soon Steven, my boat is fixed, had a few glitches taken care of. If I do happen to see you, expect a very short meet and greet. We have something in common I’d rather share in person. It’s one of the main reasons I follow your channel. Thanks for the inspiration to go out in smaller craft as well. My boats only a 20’ bay boat, but is probably more capable than my nerves. Great video as usual, always look forward to them !!
Poor bat was trying to find his way home then decided to be on the channel 😊. Liked the types of fishing cut bait, jig, and trolling. Caught fish on all of them.
Man what a crazy encounter with the bat. You know they have horrible eye sight I’ve heard, he just knew your boat was his ticket back to land lol That’s really cool
100% lol. their echo location is amazing but still weird to see in the middle of the day haha!! Luckily he didnt bite me and made it back to the mainland lol
NiceKingfish. Those little Bobos you were catching would’ve turned into bait on my Boat. Some of my best days fishing are after we caught one of those and use them for bait. Snapper can’t resist them. Keep up the great job.
Hi Steve. Great job on the channel. Love watching you catch so many species locally. If you ever need a video/social media intern, let me know. I was military but now teach college courses in Mobile. I’m sure my students would find being your cameraman interesting. Keep up the great work!
That bat came from your boat (or the other guys boat). I've had racoons jump out of my battery compartment. Your bat is trying to tell you to get out of his house.
I admire your ability to hold your tongue when that bat hit you in the face! I’m afraid TH-cam would’ve censored me! And that bat would’ve been dispatched with an oar, light pole, or what ever I could find!😂
I am a rabies epidemiologist with my state. If you had any direct contact between your skin and the bat, or were bitten/scratched by it, you should reach out to your local/state health department to see if you should receive rabies post-exposure prophylaxis (also called rabies vaccines). I am not joking. Any direct contact, even a glancing blow, between and human and bat can lead to rabies transmission. Rabies is fatal in human beings.
I just finished a set of rabies vaccine a month or so ago after being bitten by a stray cat. No problems with the shots . Didn't hurt at all for me. Better safe than sorry.
lol the catfish,,,, i use to haul catfish, but i bought a new cc yrs ago and first fish first cast my nephew caught a catfish , 10 miles out off morehead nc. so the boat got named the catfish.
Huge fan Bama me and my fam always make a yearly trip down to Bama actually the fort Morgan area and we’re actually here right now sure is good fishing!!
Great video! I like how you talk about your setup (subscribed and liked). I'm a west coast guy that hasn't fished since I was 13. The plan is to move to FL and I want to fish as much as possible. I also want to Bowfish, but I need to look up the laws. Anyway, I'll probably start off FL East Coast, but all of this is great info. Thanks for posting. Also, I want to get into Bait Making. I could recommend a channel, if it's ok. Great Bait Maker.
Also, glad the bat is ok. That's so weird. I've only seen bats when I was camping ...in the woods. never seen one over ocean, maybe lakes or rivers. Strange.

I am definitely going to try that recipe. Thanks for the videos.
It's simple and incredibly tasty for sure!!!
The bat was looking for a place to land. You were it!
This is the only TH-cam channel I've subscribed to.
I love that you are an animal Lover and saved the Bat.👍

Great "real" screaming adventure! with the bat!!! :- ) And the REEL screaming footage was great too! LOL :- )
Always enjoy your videos..I switched to kayak fishing a few years ago, but you have me wanting an offshore boat again!
That bat footage was crazy! Had to rewind and see it fly into the camera several times!

I commented before the video got to the Cleaning and cooking part. I've learned even more stuff! Thanks again for posting.
Thanks for the video man! Yeah, that is super crazy with the bat!
Top notch fishing content. I appreciate you. 💯💯💯
Ain’t afraid of bats either, but that dude would have found the inside of my net for sure 😂
I hear that lol
I'd dove off the boat and swam with sharks to avoid that rat with wings.

Definitely a suspicious bat, there. I would have been skittish in the same situation, too. ... That said, another great fishing video!

Hahahaah a bat in the middle of the day, 8 miles offshore. Yeah I’d be worried about that little disease factory too
The bat 😂. Great camera good work!
A bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work.
Ton of Fun watching your vids bro!
Thank Steven for another nice video ;)
Wahoo is my favorite fish to eat! In Hawaii, it's called Ono, which is also the word for "good".
Amazing channel and amazing bat flying scene!
Awesome show boss ! You should do a show on a cheap & funny $ 20 dollar 9" inch spoon ? I will guarantee you hook set and lots of funny fun ! 😂😂😂😂
That bat came from your boat (or the other guys boat). I've had racoons jump out of my battery compartment. Your bat is trying to tell you to get out of his house.

So even holding one without gloves could give you rabies?
lol the catfish,,,, i use to haul catfish, but i bought a new cc yrs ago and first fish first cast my nephew caught a catfish , 10 miles out off morehead nc. so the boat got named the catfish.
Always mindfull and careful in the ocean...
My favorite way to cook sheepshead. I then make a West Indies salad out of it.
I love a good West Indies even with poached Sheepshead or Tripletail
Huge fan Bama me and my fam always make a yearly trip down to Bama actually the fort Morgan area and we’re actually here right now sure is good fishing!!
Bama Bay Beauty. Nowhere else does this happen
dolphins are good luck to fishermen unless they hang out...great stream ..smash the likes
