This is one. Kashmir and When the Levee Breaks would round out top three. But Zep is one of my two top bands, so needless to say, I like MOST of Zeppelin. Floyd is the other band.
Robert was ad-libbing at the end of the song, tempting Jimmy to go into another song. Robert sang a few lines from "You Shook Me," looking for Jimmy's reaction, to tempt Jimmy for a response. That's the way Zeppelin played, live.....always making up ad-libs as they went along. You never knew where they would go, at any time. Try: "Trampled Underfoot" from this same show.
Led Zeppelin are the greatest most versatile band. They produce music of the highest quality and many many songs have unusual rhythms and chords. They never disappoint and every song is so good. Only one Zep!! GOAT
Check out their documentary called "The song remains the same" you'll get a lot of behind the scenes stuff including John Bonham in his dragster and their legendary manager Peter Grant who suggested they drop the A in LEAD and was instrumental in getting the band 90% of concert gate money when nobody was getting over 50%
So wait is Jimmy Page using a steel guitar or is the slide just giving off the steel guitar sound? I always thought steel guitars were played horizontally, either in a lap or on a table
You should listen to Bob Dylan's version to see the contrast and understand how far Zeppelin took this song. Dylan's cover was different from the original but could be called a cover but this.....
What is your favorite Led Zeppelin song?
How can one choose?
Nobody ever did a cover like Zeppelin did!! Ever!
I mean personally mine is Stairway to Heaven

Ramble on. Perhaps..
Greatest band ever especially live!!
They are so good live
In my humble opinion…they will always be the GOATS OF GOATS! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
They are absolutely phenomenal

That's awesome. It sounds like that was a way to keep morale up on stage. I don't think anyone has suggested that one yet. I'll add it to the list
Favorite SONG ? The one I happen to be listening to at that time
That is valid

100% well put
best impro band ever
They are so good
This wasn't recorded in Texas this was the 1975 concert at the Albert Royal Albert Hall in England
It was at Earls Court, London....not Royal Albert Hall.
@@badgeholderdave you're right I always get those two concerts mixed up thanks
I was talking about the original song, not the Led Zeppelin cover
It's not a cover it's a rework original which pretty much this an original Zeppelin song
Yeah that makes a lot of sense. They took the original song and made it their own

I also hope I was right about the steel guitar sound and it not being something else completely
Yes steel guitar with a slide
So wait is Jimmy Page using a steel guitar or is the slide just giving off the steel guitar sound? I always thought steel guitars were played horizontally, either in a lap or on a table
The slide is steel, sometimes they use glass. That's a Danelectro guitar, the body is Mosrite, a plastic.
NOT a steel guitar. We have a Danelectro...
@@juliemanarin4127absolutely not a steel guitar
The SLIDE on his finger is STEEL, not the guitar
Let's Go led heads
100%
First the original…then Dylan…then Zeppelin.
That's pretty solid. Should I go and listen to the other 2 versions?
Good reaction
Thank you
I’m in if you so kore live Zep and Floyd…..
Be sure to check out both the Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd playlists
You should listen to Bob Dylan's version to see the contrast and understand how far Zeppelin took this song. Dylan's cover was different from the original but could be called a cover but this.....
I might just do that
Pretty sure it’s a fretless bass.
That's kind of crazy
Please check out Since I've Been Loving You.
It has been added to the list
You manage to pause in all the wrong places..
I mean from someone who hasn't really listened to the song I think I did a pretty good job
you're doing alright, ace
don't worry about it
