I believe when they made young Sheldon They wanted to correct everything about that character that's why young Sheldon is a better show

My Theory’s:
Paige: This doesn’t exactly make sense for Paige to not appear in the last season considering there parents were still close. Why didn’t Paige come to George’s funeral? Well, my idea is that she tragically took her life from depression. In the last episodes we can see Paige abusing alcohol and just generally seems like a sad person.
Veronica: I think Sheldon cleared it for us. She was devoted to her faith and helping others.
Pastor Rob: He would have came to George’s funeral if he hadn’t moved to Arkansas.
Tam: Tam mentioned when Sheldon moved to college that he was going to start hanging out with the jazz band. So my idea is he just moved on and didn’t see Sheldon as a legitimate friend after that. He never called, or came to George’s funeral.
One of the reasons why Paige wasn’t shown is because her actor McKenna grace was on a tight schedule and she couldn’t make it for the final season because I believe she was acting in the movie Ghostbusters, frozen Empire
I'd rather think she was in rehab rather than dead. Let's give her a chance to live a happy life when she's clean and sober.
Maybe some of these questions will be answered in the Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage series 🤔
I mean didnt sheldon canonically make young sheldon as his memoir and if he misremembered tam it would’ve had tam saying he’d move to California but tam not saying it means he did say it at a different point at time

Simple, American series don't use archevists, so there is no continuity in story lines. It often seems that new writers have never even seen previous episodes. considering how much money they throw at these things, they could make a bit more of an effort.

Those characters didn't change. They simply badly are written between the two TV Shows, obviously.

Because it's 2 tv shows and just as with star wars the prequels were made after the original .
