Why can't we have smartphones like this? I want a slim smartphone that has an accessible battery slot and multiple battery packs that I can pop in and go. It's 2022. Let's get on this trend.
Well then they wouldn't be able to force you to buy a new device when your battery dies. Apple has been making changing batteries on their devices as difficult as humanely possible for years now, other companies are only just catching up to their profit-driven planned obsolescence. Also, if these tech companies didn't do that, then we wouldn't be able to ship literally millions of easily repairable devices to 3rd world countries, where barefoot 10 year olds burn them in open fields to collect any precious metals in the toxic ashen remains. This is what they call "recycling".
Surprisingly its because of a few things not just we don't like the consumer logic. Non user replaceable battery's can be made less robust thus allowing for more battery per volume and less housing for the battery. As for hot swapping its an effort to make phones more water proof by sealing it all up.
@@ibaron2716 Let's be real. The waterproof excuse is complete bullsh*t. Phones were just fine with removable batteries around 2015-16 before Samsung followed Apple and sealed up their phones. They did this as a planned obsolescence measure and to push a "ultra" or "max" version of their phones on consumers. It's purely greed.

We use one at O’Reilly’s and they are useless… don’t know what model it is but it constantly breaks down don’t scan properly extremely sensitive when you’re driving even when you’re walking, it tells you please complete task before moving and I am walking mind you not driving walking
the kroger I work at still uses mc9090 handhelds from the early 2000's, and all the software runs software through terminal. It is the most archaic thing I have seen in 2021.
I really don't understand this device I got one from a friend it was locked but I unlocked it and then I seen the prices online or crazy I have really no use for it but I couldn't imagine selling it to somebody for the prices I seen online , what's the deal can anybody fill me in any advice /info what I should do with the device it's TC52x no sim card I believe. As a walmart associate, if I'm using the scanning feature on the me@walmart app (which normally scans via the phone's camera) will the bar code scanner recognize bar codes even though the camera would be activated?

Work at Lowe’s and we use these phones when we stock the shelves
Can you use this as a personal phone? all daily apps you would usually have such social network apps etc

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Everything is so expensive and now a day software is a lease not a buy. So there’s a continuous fee
